Re: 2012 Warehouse Package Info

They overlooked Good Good Time Hershey '04 again. They could've finally released it instead of the same version of Tripping Billies. Also, not one pre-2006 song on the disc...fail.

But, that Recently is amazing and it'll be nice to have live releases the new songs.

I'm so surprised to see someone make a comment about the Hershey '04 Good Good Time.

There's a reason the lyrics for that version are different... why Dave sings about crying in that version and not in any other version of the song... why he sounds the way he does.

Say what you will... this band does care.

Yes and no. Does it really make a difference though? You and I both know you'll end up getting all the tracks somehow some way, eventually.

This. You get a whole year to find 8 (or 10) tracks now and you have to get performances from the past year, come on!

It was never a seniority perk because it's been the same way since they started doing the 5/8 model. They're trying to get people to hang on through the first few years instead of being on one or two then bailing.

I agree. Can't tell if you're agreeing with my post or questioning it, but I think we basically said the same thing. If you got the extra tracks after three years, it can't really be considered a seniority perk. 3 years doesn't equal seniority.

Lol, "Kill The King is the first live version of the song, and one the fans consider to be one of the best." ONE of the best? They've played that song less than 10 times!

    This is an opinion.

I think that the 1 in the Darien 06 encore was pretty solid... but hey thats just me.

Feel free to insert the "bias because you were there" comments accordingly.. (kidding)

If Kill the King ever makes an actual return and gets played at a show I'm at, I will be one happy man. I think the album looks good, minus the Tripping Billies I already have..if they wanted a good Tripping Billies they could have put the one from this year at Riverbend on there. It was midset and no one saw it following Mercy, but I was there so I'm biased.

It would've been cool if they picked a Tripping Billies from an acoustic set from 1995. http://dmbalmanac.com/TourShowSet.as...=41&where=1995

Edit: This entire show needs to be released one day.

What they should do is release some rare stuff on these and do every album with live versions now that would make me join the warehouse instead of moochin of my brother. lol

It's an okay song. The chorus is good. However when people were drooling over a potential album comprised of only unreleased material and were pulling for Kill The King, I kind of laughed. It's just not as good as some people say. Break Free is much better.

Actually, 6/10 are post Roi. One of the tracks is from 2006 and 3 of them are from 2007. They still have the obnoxious trumpet though.

7 good choices that I can see. 7/8 for a Warehouse disc would normally be steller, so no complaints of 3 whatever tracks.

Very nice move on the part of the WH to increase the #of tracks!! Something interesting about this though is this will impact the potential track lists due to a CD still only being able to hold 80 minutes. Still nice though.

As far as the tracks, REALLY nice to see that Recently on there, I was there and its one of the best Ive seen. Not really bothered about the Typical being a partial, its something different, although I would like Dave to know, just play the full song from now on, of all songs to do a partial on, Typical is not one, neither is Recently for that matter.

I expected some AFTW stuff and those were good choices actually, as others have said though, did we really need another release of You & Me?

Not really sure why they would release a Tripping Billies that has already been released, perhaps this was an oversight....Jake? Would of like to have seen them release Tripping Billies from 7/23/01 Tampa, one of the best Ive seen.

Overall not a bad disc, just a lot of other gems I think they could have released instead of a few of these. I would like to see more older stuff next time, it was nice when they did early/mid 90s stuff on a few of the recent discs.

Id still like to see them do a WH 10 DVD, now that would be awesome.....we'd get the audio and the video.

As far as Hershey 7/10/04 we all know its coming, it has to be...next year will be 10 years since that show!!!

Wasn't the Tripping Billies on the 2007 Summer Sampler only available via iTunes in 256kbps? The only difference I see is a higher bitrate with the possibility of a different mix. Still, many other songs we don't have many of could have replaced that one...

i think you're thinking of the 2008 sampler, which also had billies but was only available on itunes if you bought a ticket a show that summer.
