Which is why my point about getting it to primary care doctors was still the correct take. 1) they’re less likely to tell their doctor no to their face 2) they trust their doctor 3)nobody - outside the staff - would know you got it. You aren’t walking into a public rite aid and going to their vaccine area. You won’t be seen sitting there waiting 15 minutes. You won’t walk out of a rite aid with a bad aid on your arm in front of your neighbors.

It seems like doing at a doctor's office is the reason they would need to be disguised. Because they might run into someone in their social circle that also uses the same doctor/clinic that might be there for a different reason.

The wouldn't need to disguise if they were going to a vaccine only location since they could assume they wouldn't run into anyone that was there for the same purpose.

The Rite-Aid example makes sense, but this is a doctor, so assuming she's referring to patients she's seeing at her office.

I thought most were still going through pharmacies to get vaccines.
Perhaps that’s changed.

But I’ve also seen two different polls saying people trust their primary care doctor over the government and if you’re unlikely to get vaccinated, what would get you to change your mind and the top response was having it at your doctors office.

I don't know whether that story is true, but living in Missouri I have no trouble at all believing that many people's internal vaccination stance has changed toward pro-vaccine, but they feel locked into their anti-vax decision based on their previous statements and/or social circle.

I know at least one couple that didn’t want to tell the mother in law they got the vaccine

The wife ended up telling her and the mom said she has the mark of the beast now

I feel very sure that my brother is unvaccinated almost solely because of his batshit crazy wife and her family. Had a phone conversation where he definitely offered more nuanced thoughts on the issue than his rightwing flexing on social media would indicate. It's sad.

So I guess there was an outbreak in Provincetown, MA which is mostly vax’d.

Less than 1% hospitalized. Zero deaths. Out of 900 people.

Someone smart should ask the question that if you had roughy 500 males with an average age of 42 like this outbreak did what does modeling say would be the outcome if they were all unvaccinated.

Hospitals are setting up their Covid ICUs once again and their outdoor tents, various cities across the US.
Pediatric beds are filling up at a much larger rate than ever before.

Part of the reason the pandemic is so bad in US is because people who are never involved with scientific method are seeing Science unfold in real-time. Errors, evidence, & changing methodology happen 100%, but in public eye, seen as "they have no idea what they're talking about."

Transparency on this scale backfires bc in nearly all other circumstances, science is opaque & mostly provided to public eye through 2nd-3rd sources. People only see end result, not a process, so anything less than perfect is automatically labeled "deceptive" and "backtracking."

Similar results here, most of the Mid Hudson Valley is vaccinated and we currently have only 4 people in ICU with this current surge in cases. That's out of 1.1 million residents.
