Tim does an amazing acoustic version of Kashmir and TR3 does an OUTSTANDING electric version (with Tim on a double-neck SG guitar), both completely without vocals.

Funny that you mention Zevon, because he popped into my head immediately before I clicked to view the thread. He was/is a very underrated musician. Don't know what Dave thinks of him or if he knows of him. But I'd love for the band or Dave solo to cover any of his tunes. This would be a cool one for Dave to play solo:
