limerick thread

so the sex thread has taken to limericks lately. Its kinda fun...

there once was a board called ants
where everyone seemed nice at a glance
but when you get to know them
you find you really could be friends
so lets go to a show and dance.

I think technically the beats go 6/6/4/4/6 and rhyme scheme is A/A/B/B/A.

If you can stick pretty close to that, you're doing well. These are the "bar tunes" of the poetic world, so cut loose and make one off-the-cuff.

I'm sorry. Every time I hear the word 'limerick' my mind goes straight to the gutter. I did not mean to offend any of the fine ladies on Am.org nor did I mean to brag about the size of the General. As soon as I saw the limerick thread, that popped in my head and I had to post it or it would have driven me crazy. You guys don't want me to go crazy, do you?
