aaaahhhhhhhhh! my first show! i was so excited i had bad seats- second to last section second row- but who cares. one sweet world was a great way to kick it off. #41 my favorite song at my first show i was happy with this show already. it could have ended here. best of what's around was just that! it explained the whole experience! true reflections was soo cool i love to hear boyd sing. too much was power packed! say goodbye was amazing. u have no idea about the work i've done to get this song played since this show, a friend's seen the 10 since 2000 and still hasn't seen this tune her fav. she came to the show after this one. lie in our graves was amazing....nice and jammed out it was great. bartender was the only lillywhite song i remeber my 1st show and i never hear these tunes before. this one stood out. watchtower was killer! it blew me away. like i said i wish i could comment more on the lillywhites.

Fell in love with JTR and Grace at this show. Spent hours on Napster or Morpheus when I was back at school in Fall 2000 trying to find live versions of both songs. Found Bartender and didn't care for it...interesting as it's in my top 3 of all Dave songs now.

After driving into South Philly for the first time, and watching the weather get bad and back again, and anticipating my first stadium show, with 10th row seats, I was ready for a great set. Unfortunately, this show was marred by a number of technical difficulties, including Carter busting a couple drum heads, Stefan having bass trouble, and LeRoi leaving the stage for 1.5 songs, it was not meant to be. One of the few highlights was the LIOG jam, and this was one of the last times DMB played Say Goodbye. Otherwise, it seemed very impersonal. It seemed like the band was lacking energy. This was when the Lillywhite sessions really went south, so maybe it can be attributed to that.

Great place to see the band. It's just a shame they tore it down. I got tickets to both nights and this night was so good. Say Goodbye was nice to hear as it was the only time I've ever heard it. Then Watchtower, though standard, was mind-blowing, it was the only time I've seen them close with it. Good show, but, good warm-up.

since my first 2 shows the summer before, i've done about a 180 at this point in my DMB fan career. by this time, i've well past the threashold of being hard core, and this was a real exciting run for me, because even tho i was hearing songs i had technically heard in concert before, i was such a new fan in 99, that even things like Two Step and Warehouse i didn't know at those first shows. i pretty much consider this my sudo first show...the 2 in 99 were like, what got me really loving the band, but i didn't know enuff to appreciate them. if it wasn't on the radio, i didn't know it in 99, and so this was really like my first REAL DMB experience. anyway, back to the show...at the time i was listening to L@LC a lot, and so the One Sweet World with the instrumental intro, followed by #41 was a great way to start things off. the set was full of energy and the crowd was just awesome. a few random things: BOWA, was amazing, but dear God, if there's one song the ladies do not belong on...i had heard an acoustic version of Bartender before the show, and so i knew the words when this started, i'll never forget hearing that song for the first time, it's been a huge fave ever since...Sweet Up and Down, the one and only time i think i'll ever have heard this song unfortunately, it was one of the lillywhites from that summer that really stuck out to me as wonderful...my first time ever hearing Watchtower, AWESOME. all in all, and amazing show. they ended at 11:30, don't see that much anymore.

was my first show...it was ruined because of my idiot friend getting so drunk that he fell down the steps in the nose bleeds and gashed his cheek open. we had to go to the hospital for basically the whole show...we got back in the middle of LIOG....

I was in nosebleed seats, but what a great show. I went nuts when they played Long Black Veil. I think I was the only person in my section who had heard it before. Say Goodbye followed by Bartender was fantastic. One of the better shows I have seen, I just don't like hearing the band in a stadium (ballpark). It just doesn't sounds as good!
