First Time played these two songs live was during rehearsal two days earlier. The album release had not yet happened. I attended the rehearsal as well, talked briefly to Dave when he walked off stage all sweaty afterward. (I remember thinking I wanted that towel). He asked me what I had thought of the songs, luckily I had heard them (repeatedly) because a friend got me a copy of it on cassette and I listened to the whole album from the day before. I remember thinking how different it was from previous stuff and told him (of course) that I really liked them. I walked him to the green room and we said our goodbyes... Saw the live show dress rehearsal from the front row that night, bc I worked there at the time.

It was damn Saturday Night Live and I was there... not much else to say, it was amazing!
