to be specific, this show was with Blues Traveler at the State Palace Theater...it was a short set with Recently being the highlight

Actually State Palace Theatre in NOLA was the venue - Well almost 10 years later, and 50 or so DMB shows in the vault, I look back on my first show...Now don't get me wrong I can barely remember what I did last night, but I do REALLY remember this show.. Was my 2nd time at Jazz Fest, my high school friend was UVA Grad, attending Tulane Med School(yes he took us to see the cadavers!) and arranged the whole trip... Told us that there was this band used to play at school, playing before Blues Traveller at some theatre... Well the band rocked, we never made it through the whole BT set, but DMB was the highlight for us all, well except for 'sharing' in the backroom at 'Big Daddy's'... after all this time, still have the urge to see DMB, D&T, D and anyone really.. Listening back on old shows makes one truly appreciate how special this band is and that although they have grown in many ways, the down to earth, just play the music style continues to draw me in !!! Thanks DMB !!!
