The show was amazing. The crowd was great, so the tape sounds pure. It was especially good because I got to meet Dave before the show. He is cooler than you think.

Great show...loved the setlist. This was my first acoustic show, so I enjoyed the change from the traditional big summer show. My only complaint is that I didn't get to hear "Say Goodbye", but...I haven't heard that one since my first show in 1997, so...I'm not too upset.

GREAT SHOW! Got up to the arena around 715, got seated quickly. They opened with bartender, good version, and then went to Grey St. They were both great songs, but people were still filing in pretty heavy so that was pretty distracting. Everyday, wow, that sounds so good with tim, and mixed with #36 its becoming a great jam. Decent version of smts, sounded like tim might have messed up a jam on that one, not sure. Then they played #41 which ive never heard, and have wanted to hear for a long time! If i write something about every song, it will take forever, because they were all great. Best experience ever at a dave show. Cant wait to get this show, it will prob never leave my cd player.

Tonight was my first Dave and Tim show, and it was an incredible evening. #41, the Stone, Jimi Thing>>What will Become of Me, Ants, Everyday, Big Eyed Fish full Fool to Think were all incredible. Even though we got more than our fair share of Everyday songs, all of them except Sleep to Dream Her were incredible. Sure the one song encore kinda sucked, and Sleep to Dream Her follows me to every freaking concert I go to, but other than that it was a perfect night. Davespeak: Kinda weak I thought, Dave told the story about Bob the Horse. Commented on peace as not being the "absence of war" but just something that we should all want to have. Showed Jerry, but people were being obnoxious so it was hard to hear the guitar. Made fun of people all night about yelling out for songs and how he felt just a tiny tiny tiny bit of guilt for not playing them. Sniff and crotch grab was awesome hehe. Dave was making hilarious faces all night. Crowd: Even though it was my first show, I've listened to a ton of them on cd. Basically I've heard worse and I've heard better. Some dick kept yelling out for Spotlight near the front row. Someone yelled for #41 about 4 songs after he played it which was pretty funny. During the middle of Where are You Going during a really random part, the left side of the arena erupted in clapping. Apparently two high schoolers got arrested for something. Dave never said anything about it being an "acoustic evening" and being quiet, so I thought people were pretty well behaved considering... Seemed like most of the loud obnoxious people screaming out weren't students, but drunk high schoolers.... They were quiet when they needed to be though, and thats all that matters. Acoustics: Its a basketball arena; you can't expect that much. Song by song recap.... Bartender - Wow... Great opener. While it might not pack the punch it does full band, its still a great song. Cool intro... Grey Street - Tim did a little bit more on it, but it was the standard tour Grey Street (not bad by any means though, but could be so much more...). Tim did add a little bit more than other nights, but nothing amazing. Everyday - Dunno if this has gone on at the other shows, but the crowd started doing the Hani Hani's at the beginning. Dave really seemed to like it; he even did a little #36 and sang back with the crowd. I know it went on during the winter and summer tours, but haven't heard of it on the acoustic tour yet. Sounds great with just Dave and Tim So Much To Say - Pretty standard, got the crowd going. #41 - Perfection. It could not have been any better. Dave did some little scat/outro type thing after "tears splash all over you". Can't wait to get a copy of this to play it over and over again. Big Eyed Fish- Unexpected, but really good. Dave did Boyd's part again. Sounded very Lillywhite-ish. When the World Ends - New ending sounds great. This song sounds so much better Dave and Tim. Pay For What You Get - Amazing, but no norwegian wood outro. Lie In Our Graves - Awesome Sleep To Dream Her >> And the crowd dies... Granted the general consensus is the song sucks, but with just Dave and Tim it sounded a little bit better than full band. Grace is Gone - Great to hear Grace is Gone, especially with Tim's intro. Two Step - I wasn't very impressed at all with it. Guess the Two Step on Luther College and some other shows spoiled me... Gravedigger - This song has gained so much energy and is much more solid than it used to be. Tim Solo - He really is amazing. Standing ovation after the song. Nice to see people respecting him. I'll Back You Up - Beautiful. Tim's solo was perfect. Satellite - The dischordant(sp?) intro was pretty cool. Other than that a pretty standard verison, though it seemed a little faster than normal. Jimi Thing > What Will Become of Me Dave was making funny faces all through Jimi Thing. The crowd loved it, and WWBOM was so beautiful. Lyrics sounded a little bit different... The Stone (wise men say) - This song is amazing any way, full band, dave solo, and dave and tim. Perfect performance of this song. Fool To Think (full) >> Thought it was gonna be a tease but they actually played the whole song. Sounds awesome, and the jam where Carter and Leroi usually go nuts sounded pretty good with just Tim. Where Are You Going - Someone commented that this song is much better Dave and Tim, and they're so right. It didn't drag on like it kinda does full band. It sounded great. Tim Solo awesome. played some cover song during the second half of the song, but I couldn't figure out what it was... Crush - Seems like they're not doing the normal jam at the end of the song, but it didn't matter. The song was awesome and really got the crowd going. Breakdown/solo thing at the end was awesome. Ants Marching- Perfect way to end the set. Tons of energy, and --- Dancing Nancies - Really cool intro where Dave acted like a drunk guy at a bar. No "could I have been's" though, but the new intro was pretty funny to watch. Flame away, but I don't think Dancing Nancies is that good d+t, definitely not good enough to be the only encore or close the show... Boyd, Leroi, Stephan, and Carter are what make the Dancing Nancies (especially the end jam) and Tim can't replace that. Was really hoping for a Cry Freedom and then Warehouse, or even Tripping Billies to close out the show. Can't be greedy though, tonight was my first Dave and Tim show and I heard so many amazing songs it didn't really matter. Looking back the review doesn't look that positive, but I actually had an incredible time and the whole show was amazing. All in all worth waiting in line 18 hours for tickets :). Can't wait to get a copy of the show. Somehow i got my camera past the metal detector even though he swung it by my pocket. Oh well... Here are some pictures: http://www.davidson.edu/personal/thhouston/2003-03-25daveandtim/2003-03-25daveandtim.html Total show time was about 3:12.

Sat in second row behind Dave's wife. (Thank you, Warehouse!) It was possibly the most incredible night of my life. If only I had gotten there five minutes earlier while Dave was signing autographs for everyone outside.

Very good, I liked the fact the Dave didn't play a lot of mainstream songs and gave Tim a few songs to play.

Excellent Show, Dave told a story about horseriding that was hilarious! Even though Dave and Tim played a bunch of love songs, and it was like the furnace of Arabia wasgoin in there, it was a great show

This was my 2nd D&T show and I must say it was probably a great show, but I was so distracted by the plastic pullout bleacher seats and the huge a/c unit above my head that I could hardley pay attention to the show. Tims guitar was totally mixed to the center and right side of the "arena" so all of us on the left side missed out on a lot. Red Light should refund every ticket sold on that side of the venue. I mean it was a gym like the one at my high school, and having to sit for 3+ hours on a BENCH with no back and 1/2 an inch b/w you and the person beside you is really uncomfortable.. Anyway, the setlist looks good, and sounded good, from what I could hear. I guess all the people who said the venue was great were sitting on the floor or smoking some good stuff. Red light should look more carefully at where shows are booked, and make sure there is more than a 2 lane road for 9 miles into the college.

Great Bartender opener...I think it took Dave a little while to warm up to the crowd. The Dave Speak was great. Awesome setlist and the venue kicked ass.

My mother, two sisters, brother and myself got to hang with Dave for app. 20 minutes before a crowed gathered. It was one of those strange, life changing(musicaly speaking) experience. He was hilariuos and according to him hung over from the night before. We were all alone and greeted him at the door of his bus. It was awesome!!!!

My 1st D+T show! I cannot wait to go to W-S and then Boone!! He told soooo many stories and I thought they mixed it up nicely together- great songs, stories, vibe, and security. My seats stunk but security was so lax that I moved front/center on the walkway in front of the stage, behind the b-ball court. I would estimate that I was 30th-40th row center and the place just seemed soooooooo tiny!! A great time was had by all!! Addition::: After seeing all 3 NC D+T shows, this was by far the best for acoustics, song selection, story telling, and venue!! You have to add this to your collection of shows!
