Ending with "Last Stop" and "Grey Street" was perfect. Great show. like the night before. Then, we drove back to Seattle for an early flight to Boston the next A.M.

I must admit, I felt like the boys had a slow start. But that only meant things could get better as the night progessed. And they did: Tripping Billies was incredibly energetic! Although not as good as last year, it's always a pleasure to witness the greatest rock group in the world in the most beautiful setting imaginable.

Another solid show. Got to hear Typical Situation finally and Last Stop kicked ass. Is it me or did they really shorten up Grey Street this tour. Besides the fact that every person I sat by smoked cigarettes and these drunk girls in front of me had their hands up the whole fucking show it was quite enjoyable. Definently not comparible to past years but what can you do.

The second show was very good. It was much different that the first night. This was a show for the audience. More popular songs were played tonight. The crowd erupted during the playing of The Last Stop. Crowd and the music was much louder tonight.

Typical Situation and Last Stop made my night. I met Leroi, Carter, Butch and Boyd outside their hotel earlier that day. Leroi actually mistakenly walked into the packed Perkins we were eating at. He made a quick exit giving a quick peace sign. Great guys and hung out with them for about 20 minutes.

One of the greatest overall experiences in my life. First things first a huge thank you to the two who tipped us off about the warehouse upgrade man, who bumped us from the 43rd row to ROW 1. Not only was it our (fiance and I) first time in the first row but 5 new songs and I was able to seat there and listen to every word and note the band was portraying. No drunk assholes, screaming or talking behind me and no one yelling during Typical, Cry Freedom, Granny or Stephan's intro to Watchtower. Though it took awhile for the band to get in the groove, Warehouse turned it all around and the Typical Situation was unbelievable. I had chills from the moment Stone began till the five hour drive home was complete. We also met so many great people, like the two from warehouse you found us the upgrade man, one from seattle and the other from austrailia (sorry i'm terrible with names and the Repunzel from Chicago. This was my second Gorge show and I will never miss another.

A great show, not as good as night one, but still good. Didn't care for IDI as an opener, but from there it was great, Warehouse, Watchtower, DDTW, and Billies was GREAT (Boyd's hat falling off...really cool showed the rockin). Last Stop very cool. Gorge Rules!!!

Hot Damn what a show. Granny Warehouse, Cry Freedom to start it off and then it took off. R&R was the best Id ever seen followed by Too Much and a mind blowing Watchtower. Typical was the best song of the night (tied with Last Stop in the encore) and Billies was awesome. All I can say is no what you are alpine, no what you are...

Not what I expected. Don't get me wrong, it was a good show, but the band seems to do something special every year at The Gorge, and this year it never happened. Now, again, don't get me wrong, "TYPICAL SITUATION" was incredible (probably the best ever) and "MINARETS" was great too, but "I DID IT" as the opener? If you're gonna do an Everyday song as the opener there pick something else. "WHAT YOU ARE" would be a sick opener. Or how about a LeRoi heavy "SO RIGHT"? And as for the encore, "GREY STREET" I usually love, but not as a closer! A terrible choice by the band. Anyway, again, it was a good show, just a little disapointing for someone who really thought something over-the-top-special would happen. I was hardly expecting to see "SPOTLIGHT", "LIGHT LIFT ME UP" or even "#34" (although, come to think of it, "#34" would have been a great opener too). These songs, you just know, they're not gonna play. But maybe a "LET YOU DOWN", "BEAUTY OF WYNONA", "SWEET UP & DOWN" or even a little "JTR." Hell, even a "WATERMELON SONG" tease would have complete the special element quota. I know some people would consider "SPOON" special, but they had been playing that pretty regularly since the Chula Vista show. Bottom line: I'm a little dissapointed. And, in all honesty, maybe that's my fault. Maybe if I don't believe all the hype surrounding The Gorge shows the setlists are great and we all go home happy. But for me...I feel a little empty. One thing is for certain though...no matter what...I'll see you all next year!

Well i'm going to pretend the show started at Warehouse and say the show was decent. This is by far the worst Gorge show to date. I agree with the review that said the crowd has gone downhill the last few years. 2000 was the best run. Each successive year has struggled to compare. The venue's notoriety has brought those with money instead of those who are willing to sacrifice for a good show. Oh yeah, how obvious was it that Dave had to catch a plane to Bonaroo? No way that show was longer than 2:15. BLAH, not even in my top ten shows seen and depite other reviews Typical Situation Tripping Billies were average.

Well I have to say that although it was only my 8th show it was definately the best show I have ever seen period! Had pretty good seats(19th row, a lil off center) and every song was so full of energy I almost couldn't take it! I had seen the Portland, Vancouver, and first gorge date but for me this was the best hands down. Now to wait for next year...

HOLY SHIIAT. amazing show, some highlights were Billies, Maker, Watchtower, Last Stop and Grey Street. Dave fucked up the lyrics on the last chorus of Too Much, but that was the only thing that went wrong that night. IT ROCKED. Seems like grey street is quickly becoming a gorge favorite.

My first concert. It was good. Rhyme and Reason, then Too Much, then Watchtower, the Typical. Does it get any better? And the jam in typical can't be beat. But the crowd SUCKED, and it wasn't loud enough. The band seemed tired. The set lasted 2:00 versus the usuall 2:45 at the gorge, but Last Stop and Grey Street were great. I just had really high expectations for the Gorge "experience" and was overall disappointed, even though I love the band, and loved the set.

This was my second DMB show (attended Gorge in 2002) and I was blown away again. I sat 22nd row amidst alot of smoke, but had an incredible view. It was the first time I had ever heard Granny played (live or recorded) and Warehouse was its usual greatness. When the band came out for the encore the crowd chanted 'Last Stop' and DMB obliged us. It was amazing to feel like a part of the show.

I layed down on the plush grassy slope at the Gorge and stared at the stars as a satellite passed overhead while listening to, you guessed it, Satellite. After the intensity of Thursdays show this song was perfect for contemplating the time I was having and while not good in the same way as the first night could not have completed my two day experience with any more satisfaction. I plan to return next year for my third pilgramage.

The gorge is an amazing place. Watching the sun drop behind the river canyon while listending to the band play is unexplainable, but this year...it was the worst concert of DMB that i have seen. It is possible that the sheer experience of being at the gorge is wearing off for me, but I think the setlist is a good place to begin. Sure we got a last stop, typical situaiton but starting off with I did it? There is no time to build energy with that. But setlists can come and go, for many its a matter of personal preferences. I must say, what happened to the 3 hour shows that I have been treated to the last five years? They ended the first set at 2 hours...either they are tired or the crowd sucked. What makes the gorge such an amazing place is the crowd, and I can say that the crowd has changed. I dont want to generalize about who goes to the shows now or at least the ones at the gorge, but there has been an obvious change in crowd and energy. It seems like the crowd reflects the band and vice versa. In my opinion that is why the shows this year suffered. I hope the band can get their direction of old back.

Ugh. Terrible way to open the set. I Did It at the Gorge? Dave shouldn't have done it. The night didn't start off that well with outside drama between one of my boys and his girl, then having shitty seats didn't help compared to the night before.
The energy just wasn't there from the night before, and they closed the beer lines early, etc etc etc.
Whatever, was still a great trip, all the way from Kansas to the edge of the world at the Gorge...

I Did It as an opener wasn't the best choice. Other than that, the band itself was fine but the experience was lacking. The set was way shorter than normal, which was kind of a letdown considering there were only two nights at the Gorge instead of the customary three. Also, the crowd was awful. Had good seats down below which quickly got thrown into piles so people could dance. Ok, fine. But people were literally throwing them. Got hit in the back several times as a mound of chairs grew immediately behind me leaving nowhere to stand. Spent much of the second half of the show dodging puke from some douchebag next to me who couldn't handle his mushrooms before finally giving up our good seats and moving back to the lawn. There was a weird energy that night and it would be my last show for a long time.

I think the first night was much better. Being the Gorge and everything I was expecting it top be alot stronger then it was since first night was so mellow and slow. Befor the show some of the crew guys were shooting water ballons. Dave even came out and shot a couple. But, anyway on one of the shots they nailed a girl up in the field straight in the face. It was awesome!!! The worst part was when they opened with I DID IT!!!! I even thought I heard some booing in my section when this happened. Highlights were definetly Typical Situation and Last Stop. We all knew they were going to play Last Stop, we just didn't know when! Hopefully next year the Gorge will get 3 shows instead of this year's 2.
