That does piss me off shaffer...I wasn't even at this concert but I saw your selfish post that you put up here..You should be honored to be in DMB's presence every time you see them.. They gave you an awesome show...If you get picky like that then don't come...He played all kinds of old songs for you...have you ever thought that they like to play I Did It? They play it a lot...so im imagining that they love it..i love it and a lot of people do...Nancies, Stay, Spoon, Two Step, Crush, Bartender...every song is amazing..that's what i hate about non-loyal fans like you...you want everything to curve around you...smoke a little weed and chill out and listen to the best band to hit venue's since the dead...peace im out...damn

This is probably one of the best shows I have ever been to! I heard two new songs at this show which one of them was a shocker!!! The band also played the longest I have heard them play in VA Beach! Very nice boys!!!!

Good show at a good amphitheater. Va. Beach is a great place and DMB put on a good show there. Nancies was again my highlight. Boyd draws his energy from the crowd and he got it on Nancies.

this was the best of the 3 i went to this summer. we were in the 20th row and it was outside and omg if they had played BOWA it wouldve been The PERFECT SHOW. But still an amazing night.

I drove to this show from orlando florida on my way back to northwest indiana I guess you could say I went alot out of my way but it was worth it. I liked it so much I drove then across to see them in atlanto on 9-20-03. I put a million miles on my car but at the end of it all its two shows all never forget.

Excellent show that made up for an up-and-down 2002 appearance.
A++++ songs: Bridge and Two Step. Dave didn't bother with the Bridge intro scat and simply went into one of the more cartoonish dances of the year. Carter went off like a madman on Two Step, completely knocking out what would have been Butch's solo.
Spoon showing up was beautiful, even though it came across as rough (Dave mixed up the verses and wasn't even about to try hitting the high notes).
Ashley and one of the twins were off to the side by Monk for the first few songs. Rapunzel was a family fav from what I saw....

What a great show. Boyd was awesome in crush and the stone, and dave rocked out bartender and two step. Spoon was amazing, what a great encore. Dancing Nancies->Warehouse, and spoon made it worth it for me. The show was great overall, lots of energy and a goot set minus i did it and if i had it all.

As always a Dave show in VA is great he must bring it for the home state crowd!! Had great lawn seats was able to get in early enough and enjoyed the whole show.... remember actually calling the Stone before the started awesome song live Leroi RIP you were the best!!!!

This was my second dmb show, and easily the better of the two. Closing with two step was the highlight of my evening, as I had waited all night to hear it. The Stone might have been the best performance of the night, however. Joel and I drove down together and met up with Davis, Tabby, George, and Logan. I also saw Jen at the show.

Got there to a good opening band, then Dave came out with everyone and rocked Don't Drink the Water...My favortie part of the whole show was the end with Two Step. I loved when Dave danced around the stage, too. Least favorite part - It ended. Excellent set and awesome crowd.

Awesome weather...a hurricane hit a few days later so I was glad I left the day before it hit but the show was awesome...I was on the hill behind the seats and thought the weather was awesome and the show was even better.

What's going on guys? Whenever they come back to VA the show goes downhill. The setlist last night was less then entertaining. I guess I expect too much from them now and leave myself disappointed. Highpoints however were definately Nancies>Warehouse, The Stone, and the Two Step that seemed like it went on forever. Aside from that the night was pretty dull. They have so many great songs and neglect to play them more often. Retire some of the shite, ie I Did It, If I Had It All, Satellite (i know that is gonna piss some people off). I guess I have just come to expect too much as I said before, but the crowd isn't the same as it was in the middle 90's and I think that has played a huge roll in the type of show that they put on. They play what the baby boomers and teenie boppers at the concerts want to hear, and not what the people that have supported them for years want to hear. It is a different taste and a different crowd. They are such an influencial band. I would like to seem them follow the concert set up of Widespread or Phish, where they play what they want to and not the latest song on the billboard top 100 countdown, TRL bullshit. They should move to a two set concert too, god only knows that they have enough songs and covers to make for a bad ass 3 and half hour concert everynight. Those are just my thoughts, sorry if I pissed you off, have a great day though.

Not as good as last night in Bristow, but still pretty good. DDTW opener was nice, perfect intense opener IMO. I Did It was blah. SMTS->PNP->Rapunzel, I love Rapunzel, so that was a treat this early in the set. Very fun song, with a great outro jam. Crush and Bartender are two of my favorites, so I was kept happy with them. If I Had It All sucks, wasn't happy with that one. Satellite I love, and this was a good version. Dancing Nancies->Warehouse following Satellite was like heaven, so I was thrilled. Warehouse is definately in my top 3 DMB songs. When the World Ends and Where Are You Going back-to-back almost did me end, two of my least favorite songs. Ugh. The Stone was a nice rebound, very perfect version to boot. Stay is a good closer, but it opened last night so I wasn't exactly thrilled (I was hoping for Billies). Then the encore. Spoon is a rarity, sure, but I don't like hearing it live, it kills the energy, so this was not doing it for me. And Two Step, which I normally like, is wearing a bit thin on me, so I didn't care for it to end the show and my summer of DMB. So, yet another DMB show, and no #41, Lie In Our Graves, Seek Up, Best of What's Around, or Tripping Billies. Dave hates me. Still though, a good enough little show, if not up-and-down.

First Dave show even though I've been a fan for a while. I resent my parents for not having me earlier so I could have followed them from the beginning. I'm only 16 and became a fan in like 99' This show blew me away. I called the opener, closer, and like 4 songs in between. It was awesome. The only thing I was praying for was my favorite song in the entire world, #41. I didn't care that much when it was all said and done, because they pulled out Spoon at the end which was the first non-radio Dave track I ever heard. I totally was not expecting that, and I'm glad it ended up on the Central Park companion. AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!!

Alot of people I've heard complain that this show had too many "commercial" songs in the set list. To me it was the perfect set. Especially since this concert was mere days before Hurricane Isabel. Commercial? Possibly. I considered this show the calm before the storm.
