Best show I've seen yet!!
LOVED dave's version of bob marley's "three little birds". I got goose bumps and chills listening to the entire audience sing along without any backup music!!!

This is my first review I've written for any concert and there is a one reason why I am writing today. The show started out with a great performance by Emmylou Harris. I did not know what to think of this concert because I had read the reviews of previous shows for this tour and they were pretty mixed, so I decided to go into the show with no expectations. It paid off!!! First off, it has been a dream of mine to see Tim Reynolds live for 9 years now, and he did not let the crowd down. Dave and Tim started off the night with a typical 5 song set that was jammed packed. The crowd was slow getting into it. After "I'll back you up", things started picking up and Dave was hillarious. They ended their set with a jammed packed Nancies. Trey and Tim jammed the night away for the rest of the concert. ASTONISHING to see Tim teeth pick during the middle of a inspirational improv which ignited the crowd into a frenzy!!! Dave was having a good ol' time mood as he danced off the stage. A++++++++ Highlights, 3 little birds, Thank You, and Little thing. Anyone skeptical about this show has no worries. It is quite a treat if you go into it with an open mind.

Excellent show. One of the most rocking concerts I've ever been too. I was excited when I heard the first notes of I'll Back You Up, but then it turned into Cry Freedom - or did it? Dave caught Tim before he could go any further and then they got it right. That was my wife's and my first dance song at our wedding two years ago and it's got a special place in our hearts. The Friends were excellent and loud. It was great to hear all the Some Devil stuff fleshed out. I think they really did those songs justice. Not too many covers tonight compared with some other D+F shows, but that was fine with me, but I like Dave!

This was my first Dave show, and it absolutely KNOCKED MY SOCKS OFF! The entire show was intense...it never really slowed down. The Dave and Tim opening was quite impressive...and the band rocked. The Dave/Trey combo was a real treat. They play off of each other really well

Probably the best show I have been to in a long time. Also I was extremely close to the stage. Guess being part of the Warehouse is starting to pay off. Really can't wait to listen to this show again.

Yeah I was there!
It was awesome! Dave and Tim did such a great job in the first part to start things off. Emmy Lou Harris was wonderful. She can really rock. And the band that Dave brought with him who also played on the Some Devil cd could really click together.

I'll back you up, little things, and Drunken Nancies could have stopped right there. That was just the start. Soooo cool to hear Solsburry hill. All of the songs from Some Devil were performed at a level of ten. The coolest thing was hearing the entire crowd do the sing along for three little birds. Pretty amazing to be there and hear it live.

I guess I'm a purist, but I was kind of disappointed with this show. To start with, it's been YEARS seen I've seen Dave indoors & either I'm a big baby or the sound system wasn't up to it. The echo off the roof was excrutiating; I had a headache by the third song. Dave & friends were obviously having a great time and I'm sure there were some really good songs played, but they sounded so distorted from where I was sitting, I would have been better off at home with a CD player. Granted, I was only three rows down from the top of the darn arena so everybody on stage was bug-sized anyway. Maybe if I'd had better seats, I'd have a better review. Who knows...

Pretty Amazing show! For anyone that did not get a chance to see this Dave & Friends show.. You MISSED OUT! Great setup! Starting with D&T Acoustic! Then moving on to whole bad! And DAM DID THEY ROCK!!! Timmy and Tre were just going to TOWN! Dave was on too... You could tell he was feeling the ENERGY! The Encore was VERY VERY SPECIAL!!! Tre and Dave Acoustic sitting down on a couple folding chairs! The crowd was ELECTRIC!! They covered Bob Marley Three Birds and come on your in SD! You know they are going to SING!! And Sing they did. It looked like Dave and Tre were in Awe of how LOUD the crowd was. Then into Bathtub Gin and finally a last acoustic song... Everyday... Again the crowd was ON!! You could tell Dave was feeling it by looking @ his face. Either that or he's off the wagon! jk OVERALL, VERY IMPRESSED! They just KEPT PLAYING!! Show went till almost 11:15! ! Now that's getting your $ Worth! When they get the server backup, I would recomend downloading this one!

This show had many differnt elements and facets to it. The start of the show had classic dave and Tim with the highlight being Dancing Nancies. THe Dave and Friends "show" started with a great song, Dodo. (probably one of the best songs on Some Devil) Another great song for this show was Peter Gabriels, Solsbury Hill. The Encore was the best part of the show with Bathtub Gin going into Everyday!!

This was a surprise birthday present. I sat behind the stage but I didn't care. I got to hear Dave enlighten us all about goat genitalia and mess up the words to Three Little Birds. I didn't like it as much as the full band shows, but it was still great.

This show just confirmed the reason for me to never miss another Dave Matthews concert that are in my general vicinity! It was just simply amazing, the cover songs, the guest musicians, the dancing! Dave knows how to get a jam going, whether he's with Tim or Trey doing acoustic classics, or with the band rockin' the house, or going completely solo, which he did excellently on Some Devil. I didn't get to hear Bartender live until now and it's so much better raw. Me being raised in the 70's, it was just sheer joy to hear Thank You at the end. How many times are you actually going to be able to hear that song played by anyone?! It was just great.

Freakin amazing. BEST Dave show I have ever seen. So much energy, more than I have ever seen from him. He really did seem to be free while performing w/ Trey and Tim + band. He danced more than I have ever seen too. This show goes to the top of the list for me.

What a treat. The energy coming from Dave and the band was amazing. 5 song encore. Dave dancing around like a fool for a few minutes at the end. Tim playing w/his teeth like a rock star.
Some great treats in the set, too. IBYU, Little Thing (not 'An Another Thing), Three Little Birds, a great Nancies...
I couldn't be happier.

A little late adding this...but I'm not the one who writes reviews. I have been to 12 DMB shows in the last two years and this show, like everyone else says, was amazing! It was so full of energy and Dave's voice was finally back in throttle. He hit every pitch (except for some devil which he made a cut sign across his throat while singing) and he danced like I have never seen before. He also had awesome dave spat, dave speak, and tons of the yelling. It was truly beautiful. I was 16 rows up on the right side of the stage which unforturnately no one stood up and danced. That was the only downfall, but by far the best concert and best Dave Matthews performance that I have ever seen. A must get!!!!!.......when the 2003 server gets up and running and whoever speaks bad against this site should seriously rethink about what everyone here does for us to have the chance to get and relive old memories. Sorry this is so long but I have never written a review and I am a huge DMB fan but I get real sick and tired of people whining about shows and other DMB related stuff. And also the Cox Arena is the best sounding venue yet!!! Awesome!!!

The show was absolutely incredible! I can honestly say that the night's encore was probably the best one I've ever seen in ten years of avid concert/show-going (maybe even better than Bob Weir/Phish at Shoreline 7 Oct 00 heh heh).
However, I think a majority of the crowd at the show was a serious disappointment. I have never seen SO MANY PEOPLE SITTING DOWN in their chairs and looking so unenthusiastic at a concert in all the shows I've ever been to. This tour was a once in life-time treat-- the holy grail for all Tim, Dave, and Phish phans. I would feel bad if I were the musicians performing, thinking that I wasn't putting on a good enough show to stir my audience out of their seats.
An older couple sitting behind my friends and I even became irrate with me because my girlfriend and I were standing up dancing at the show. When I tried to talk civilized and apologize to them, the man told me not to bulls**t him, he paid $75 for his ticket and stop being rude and sit down!
If people went to shows with the intention of sitting down and clapping their hands to the beat like they are on Austin City Limits or an opera, they should just have their kids videotape the concert for them so they can watch it sitting on their couch later on. Or at least, don't ruin it for the phans who are standing up dancing and actually looking like they are loving the music that is flowing through the room.
Come on, phans! Show the world that hip-hop clubs aren't the only way to dance the night away. Anybody agree? I love the music!
