It was my first dave concert and I loved every minute. The 3 new songs sounded so old school (Remember two things/ Under the Table). Trust me every dave fan should be very anxious for the next CD; he is really going back to his roots.

It was my first DMB show, and the only CD I had from them was Busted Stuff. Unfortunately they did no songs off of their Busted Stuff album so I was totally lost but it was an amazing experience and made me want to buy the Central Park Concert CD at the concert and Before These Crowded Streets and Stand Up later on. Maybe next time I'll know a few more of the songs!

brilliant!! very energetic show. after pig and TS i thought this would be in my top 5--maybe top 3--but the remainder of the setlist didn't allow for that. I needed a GS or TS or bartender. But all around a very solid show with lots of new twists and turns on nearly all of the songs. The extended intro to DDTW was esp. spirit moving--very ethereal.

As always Everyday was sweet.. "pay no minds to taunts or advances i'm gonna take my chances on everyyday." Love that verse and the HANI HANI can never do me wrong either...And really who doesn't love a PIG! Too Much is never enough -- heard this song a few times this tour and it never gets old, always gets better I have to say.. and then...Typical Situation came. I knew right away and My heart dropped because I absolutely love this song and they rocked it ohhh so well... tears came as they began the song... I was so blown away. Joy Ride ... always makes me smile... OSW.. always a pleasure I must say... and STJL -- so emotional and just soothing... I thougth it was great how Dave introduced it for his sister. Sugar Will!Honestly, I thought it was Seek Up at first but it's OKAYYYY. All I could think of during the song was "last time I listened to this, Santana was on the geee-TAR... BILLIES WAS SUCH A SURPRISE!!!! Wow... such a great vibe... I had such a great time at this show...Boyd certainlky went off on this song and it was absolutely mezmerizing... JIMI-- HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE THIS SONG???????? the lyrics+jimi-scat+"there's somethin' happening here" .. i mean wow... what an amazing song. HELLO AGAIN... my new listen every 5 minutes song... such a great interpretation of how I feel about a lot right now... Love this song. AATW... awesome intro by Stefan.. he is really stepping up during this.. It did annoy me when a bunch of people started screaming "WATCHTOWER"... I was so close to yelling "play whatever ya'll want cause you fuckin rock" but i'm saving that for next time.
and then the encore was such a great ending to such an amazing night... DDTW -- first time I ever heard it and the intro was really cool too! I felt like Stay was longer than I've ever heard, but I def. have NO problem with that.. the DMB rocked to their fullest as always and they blew me away once again

Fantastic show! I sat behind the stage and off to the right just a bit. As poor as it sounds, the view was actually exceptional. They started off with a huge singalong in Everyday. The new Typical verison is awesome. You could tell the guys were just playing around with it considering it's their first time performing it differently, but it sounded real sweet. The encore break was probably the longest I've ever seen Dave take. DDTW had a VERY long and suspenseful intro and turned out to be an awesome encore song. Overall I loved the show, I rate it an A-.

Penn State showed a lot of love for DMB (who wouldn't). The show was something I needed, wanted, was yearning for. It was good to see the boys and jam with them once again. Highlites for me included the Everyday opener (love that song live), Jimi Thing, Typical Situation, and Too Much (the outro that I've heard so much about, I actually got to see "Yeah! What!? Okay!!". Penn State disappointed me a little in the tailgating department however. I was in a small parking lot behind the stadium and there were a few partiers but not like I'm used to. Where was everyone????

My first time seeing Dave live, and it was incredibly awesome. Not too crazy about the opening acts, though I love Ben Harper. Acoustics at the BJC were terrible, as always, but that didn't stop it from being a great show.

Great show all in all. Downsides were the extreme heat inside and no beer sales. Made the show slow going a few songs in, but the band turned that around for the rest of the show after Tripping Billies. Dave broke 2 strings, 1 during Jimi Thing, and 1 during Stay. He recovered during Jimi by quickly running to the mic and scattin out. Great job, but he was really rocking the guitar, wish he coulda kept going. Might have been the best version of watchtower I've seen.
Probably the best thing to mention is the way he spoke of the upcoming election. No preaching, he said they came to play, and he simply encouraged everyone to voice their opinion and vote, no matter who its for. They never fail in earning and keeping my respect.

Dave put on an incredible show. I was kind of seated behind the stage to the left but I was so close to LeRoi that it made it all worth it. The highlight of the night was Dave and company going nuts on Jimi Thing. He broke his strings because he was going so nuts. Got home at 4:30 in the morning but well worth it for this performance.

Great show. Not the best one I have ever seen (12/1/98) but definitely within the top 3 of the 9 I have seen. Nice opening with Everyday...not one of my favorite songs (esp. since the last show I saw closed with it!), but with it being the VFC Tour, being combined with #36 live made it an appropriate opening.
Good setlist. Of note, Jimi Thing/For What It's Worth was simply amazing. I have never seen Dave so animated, which is amazing. It ranks up there for best live song I ever seen with #41 and Two Step from 12/1/98.
Nice to hear DDTW with a great intro.
2 1/2 hours of high energy with a phenomenal crowd, although sometimes less is more. The crowd's enthusiasm could have been reigned in a few times. Definitely the most enthusiasm I had ever seen from the band. Memorable night.

We drove 5 1/2 hours from our college in central NY to see a great performance and thats what we got! Great energy from the band and crowd tonight. The crowd didnt seem to recognize the new songs such as Sugar Will, Hello Again, and Joy Ride so the mood was mellow during them all. But an excellent set either way. It was a great way to close beofre the encore with Tripping Billies, Jimi Thing and Watchtower. Dave had an insane solo durung Jimi and Boyd went Nucking Futs on Tripping! The encore could have been better since im not a huge fan of Stay and DDTW and the set was only 14 songs. But otherwise my 22nd show was sweet!

Best Version of Pig I've ever heard. Love the way the band keeps changing the old standards. These guys continue to stay fresh. At some points during the show tonight I felt like I was seeing a completly new band. I love these guys. Would have loved a Two Step closer but DDTW and Stay worked just fine. My Morning Jacket and Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals were good. Jurassic 5 was alright. Not really my kind of stuff. I also liked how the main message of the concert was "Get out and Vote" not "This is who you should vote for"

Great time of the year for a DMB show...this was for a good cause too, as it was to raise awareness and money for the John Kerry Campaign (Vote For Change Tour). Bought tix on Ants for well under face value ($40 for the pair???)...drove to and from State College on the day of the show (bad idea on the trip back to Pittsburgh as I missed the exit for Piitsburgh and I continued to drive until we almost hit Maryland). Decent show...wish it would had been a little longer.

This was actually the first DMB show I ever went to and it was free! My buddy needed someone to drive to the show and I was the only one who could do it so he agreed to pay for my ticket. I wasn't even that into DMB until we got to the show and it blew me away. Seeing dave and the boys get all those college students so into it and hearing all of them sing every word to every song was one of the most powerful things I've ever seen! I've been a big fan ever since and if you ever have to opportunity to see the band in State College, do it!

Well Worth the five hour drive. Full band typical situation was amazing, and Dave was taking his vocals to the next level. Jurrasic 5 were awesome (Charli 2na has am AWESOME voice) and Ben Harper and the IC were good too, but I did not play too much of the songs I Wanted to hear. He DID give love to the people behind the stage, which was great.

I must say that I was completely blown away by this performance. Every song was played so well at a nice, upbeat tempo. Ben Harper and The Innocent Criminals were awesome as well. Highlight songs of the night include: Pig, Typical Situation, Joy Ride, Sugar Will, Tripping Billies, and the amazing intro to Don't Drink the Water. Stay was played very well as a closer. It was an amazing evening, Penn State is such a beautiful campus and the tailgating experience was awesome. Thank You Penn State, I'll be back again.

The DMB performance was electrifying. This was the best performance that I have seen by the band. Dave totally ripped 'Too Much' and 'Jimi Thing'. Boyd was awesome in 'Trippin' Billies', Carter tore a hole in the drums throughout the entire performance, I mean the show was just that great. You completely felt the the vibes from the band and we just fed off of the each and every song which made the band give us more of what they had to offer. They totally kicked a**.
I would love to see this one come out on DVD.

4th show (third DMB show). Incredible scats in Jimi, with dave playing HARD. The intro in the encore had everyone on the edge (could it be say goodbye?) where they erupted into Don't drink the water. Typical and midset billies was a treat, with carter and boyd kicking billies a$$. Leroi was amazing throughout, and Dave said a few words about voting in the setlist. 2nd consec set (darien lake 04) that omitted busted stuff in thes et. Short set, but it was part of an amazing anti-bush weekend for me, saturday i canvassed in Scranton PA to get people to vote against bush. 500+ miles in less than 2 days, whoo!

Awesome show Everyday Pig Typical Situation?? A lot of old songs which is good, Billies best surprise of the nite...there is a tie right now for best live song of '04 - Too Much vs. Jimi Thing...new songs are awesome and better, nice jam before DDTW...i dont remember them playing rhyme and reason at all, but watchtower was insane crowd was in it the whole night....could have done without the We Are Penn State chant but the band took a 1/2 hour (or so) to come out for the encore so I guess you have to keep busy...i thought it was great that when dave broke his guitar during Stay he replaced it and kept playing like nothing happened...ben harper is amazing but played too short a time, and I thought Dave would have asked him to play but it was an amazing show!!

Great show!!! Can't complain when you are 7th row from the stage!!! I love the bridge changes in Too Much and Typical Situation. Sugar Will was just amazing, can't wait to hear the studio version.

Wow! Everday/#36 *Huge Smile* #36 being my fav DMB song. My third DMB show but I brought a friend for thier first time. The energy was amazing and Daves and Boyds dancing got everyone hyped! Daves Scat during jimi was awesome! And we got the "stop. hey whats that...".The Band was feeding off of the crowd feeding off of them! Watchtower was amazing! I love the anticipation between songs, especially on the intro to DDTW. We got the same intro and outro songs as night 2 of SPAC. LOVED IT. And Yes Dave broke his strings during "stay" at night 2 of Spac also but was never phased by any of it. Amazing...
Only bad part was by no means the bands fault. We had a guy one row up and back of us who was screaming rediculously during all the wrong times. IE: Typical Situation and the intro to DDTW. Very Very Distracting!

Great, great time. Ben Harper was very ood, and DMB was just high energy the whole time. The only dead time was Sugar Will. Loved Billies, Jimi Thing, Pig, Watchtower, and the encore prelude to DDTW was cool. It was stretched ouyt a bit to long, but it was cool. Great show.
