The set was spectacular, and I was in awe that Neil Young was the special guest. At first, I thought it might've been Warren Hayes or maybe Ben Harper, since he was the opening act. But when Dave introduced Neil Young as the mystery, special guest my mouth dropped. I went absolutely nuts. It was something I didn't expect, let alone imagine to see. When the band and Young played "Cortez the Killer" I was absolutely speechless, as I think everyone else was in the palace. Shit, I almost started crying I felt so lucky and honored. I called up my dad who is a huge fan of Neil Young and Crazyhorse and he said to me "Lauren..wow. Do not take that for granted. You'll never see that again in your lifetime." Overall, it was an amazing concert. By far my favorite DMB concert that I've attended.

This is the first Dave Matthews Band show I've ever been too. I enjoyed the opening acts as well as DAVE! It was...quite possibly one of the best nights of my life! I can't wait for more shows! Dave Matthews even had a sore throat but the show was still awesome. We even got to see Neil Young play with the band. Watchtower was...intense to say the least.

Dave wasn't the only band that rocked at the Palace. Jurassic 5 blew the roof off, and Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals played one of the best shows I've seen in quite soom time. But of course the highlight was Neil Young coming out to play. It was pandamonium. everyone went nuts.

Well, updating my seat location appears to have eliminated my review, so I'll write a new one...At the time I didn't quite know what to make of this show. I knew it wasn't up to par with 12/21/02 or Central Park, but at the same time, how can you shake a stick at Neil Young? Ultimately, I think this show deserves a mixed review. The set, on the whole, was solid and most definitely upbeat. For the most part, though, the songs were pretty standard - no unique jams or anything to them. One thing that seemed subpar was "Hello Again." I realize Dave's voice was not at its peak - another drawback to this show - but I thought in general this Hello Again was the weakest I've heard since late June. The high intensity version present during mid summer just wasn't there and that was disappointing. Also disappointing was the version of Cortez we got, and the weak encore, though the new Too Much is definitely a nice change. Watchtower was cool to hear changed up, but I don't need nor want to hear it played that way all the time...I think DMB alone does it best and stick to it boys. Also, Keep on Rockin was cool, very surreal at the time, and I know it's one of those moments that's going to stick in my mind for a lone time. Ultimately, the show was solid, but neither as good as it seemed during and immediately after, or as good as some in here would have you believe, but nor was it as bad as some would have you believe...it was an average show with a little bang.

DMB rocked as usual. The first half of the set was one of the best I've ever seen. Then when Neil came out the place went nuts. But I must say, after "Cortez" I was ready for him to be done. Not to mention the fact that they jammed out all three Neil songs for like 15 minutes a piece. Although a nice treat, Neil should've left while the gettin was good.

First of all, all these ignorant people talking about neil young wasting there time need to shutup. Neil young is a rock god, when he came out my heart almost flew out of my chest. DMB rocked those 3 songs so hard with neil you may never see a watchtower like that again wow. And "Rockin in the Free World" to end the set was absolutely unbelievable. Even before Neil, Dave was playin a pretty nasty set. All in all def up there with one of the best dmb concerts ive seen and def the most memorable one, its not everyday you get to see neil young come and rock it out with dave and you should all enjoy that you got to witness that. One word for this concert: WOW!!!

Overall, i thought it was a pretty good show. Seeing Neil Young was completely amazing, especially since I had NO idea it was coming. I did think 45 minutes was a little excessive though, but like others have said, it's Neil Young, so he can do that. The band was pretty lively, but they had to make up for Dave's voice, which by the end of the show was basically shot. He worked through it well though. Joy Ride is an awesome song, the best of the new ones if you ask me. Too Much was a surprise as a closer, but I really liked it, it has new energy that wasn't there before and dave really gets goin in the end. Best version I've ever heard, yet... Great show.

Unbelievable!!! Ben Harper we electric and DMB was legendary. DMB setup a spare mic, thought it was going to be for Ben, but who strolls out?? Neil Young!! They rocked out three LONG jams with him. Unreal. Had second row seats, absolutely breath-taking. Great show!!

They were on a 600 hundred par 5 green with their second shot..... about 2 feet from the cup. Then proceeded to miss the slam dunk and missed it once again coming back. Three Put!!!! Still parred the whole though.

Unbelievable show! The new intro for DDTW was great as were the new songs, Hello Again and Joyride. Then Neil Young hits the stage out of nowhere and jams Watchtower with the band, I've never heard anything like it. Great, great show.

Last night was amazing!!! Great way to open, great set list. Thank you Neil Young! This was the best concert I've ever seen with the band, I am so glad Neil played more than one song, and about him taking away from dmb's time, get real Niel Young is a legend, and to have the man who wrote cortez the killer on stage. awesome! I would have much rather heard those songs than another jimi thing, or warehouse or something else that ive heard at every concert for the last 3 years! this concert brought back my faith in dmb, i was so disapointed about the chicago concert earlier this summer but now I feel revived!!

This was maybe the best setlist I have ever heard. (14 shows) I sat row 25 on the floor and the energy was amazing.
I liked that DMB didn't play but one slow tune. They kept the energy high all night.
Then Neil Young comes out...I am not a fan of his but I thought it was cool that he was there. Watchtower was confusing at first but got great. Cortez was classic but Dave should have sang more. Then when we think Neil Young is done...he starts playing "air guitar" next to Boyd. Like he didn't want to leave.
I love Rocking in a Free World but c'mon..leave the stage Neil, this is not your show.
Dave was trying to follow Neil on guitar but Neil was just playing chaos. He sucks. Still a great show all in all but Neil Young ruined my buzz and the end.
As Lynyrd Skynyrd once said..."I hope Neil Young will remember, a southern band don't need him around..." DMB+Virginia=southern...no more Neil EVER!

First off..this was the best DMB show EVER!!! And his voice was almost gone..thanks to the Ohio show..Neil Young came on..if you didn't like that you have NO musical taste what so ever..and were probably siting in front of me acting like a f@#%$ moron for the whole show..Much thanks to my friend who let me come down with him to get away from annoying Dave fans who were there thinkin it was Saturday night at the club. AATWT was crazy...Nice intro to DDTW, and Tripin Billies WOW..What a night. Thanks Dave for makin up for the snub on the tour stop this year!!!

The show was outstanding. The DDTW-Tripping Billies-Hello Again-Stay. My friend I was with is a huge Carter fan (and a drummer) and he was almost crying. I along with some other people, was all about Neil Young during Watchtower, but by the end of Cortez I wanted to hear DMB again.
My Motto for the evening was:
"I'm not Anti-Bush, I'm Pro-Music"

all in all a great show, it was my fourth, and it was right up there with the July 10th Hershey Park show.

I don't really understand all the positive reviews of this one. Neil Young was absolutley horrible. HE CAN'T SING. He never really could. He was always the weak link in Crosby, Stills, and Nash. He's a fuckin joke. He needs to do the world of music a favor and never perform again. It's kinda sad to me. I think Dave is really going down hill. None of his recent tours have even come close to the 98 tour. this one is proof of that. So thank you Neil for ruining a perfectly good show ya prick.

Dave's voice was gone. At first I was disappointed at this show. I think because I brought friends there that had never seen Dave before, and they wanted to hear his older stuff and some hits (shit I don't care to hear anymore) The more I look back on this show, especially now, it was awesome. Neil was playing at the Fox he finished early and played the last three songs and sang lead. It was the Neil Young band for the last part of the night. Dave was just playing a little guitar. That was cool. The Neil factor should've made this show way more rare.

First off, this was the 20th show I have seen and it was amazing! Second, the people that complained about Neil Young making it a Neil Young show need to remember that it wasn't a Dave Matthews Band show! It was VOTE FOR CHANGE.
Any music have would have flipped out seeing Neil Young just walk out onto a stage and jam with a band like DMB. Watchtower was so damn good that I couldn't get my mind around it!
That encore was great. That was the best live version of Too Much that I have heard. The new intro to DDTW was mind blowing.
Hopefully some of you got to see. My Morning Jacket. They were a great way to kick off the night!
Ben Harper as always was solid.
Take the fact Dave admitted he had voice problems and the fact Neil Young was there and you have a night that will not be forgotten!

Amazing show, I was actually not into it, especially after sugar will. But all of a sudden an extra mike appears and Neil Young comes out and they jam out watchtower, Cortez, and my personal favorite song Kepp on Rockin in the Free World. Amazing show, I would actually recommend the whole show, because Pig is rare and also DDTW has a cool intro. Also, the lyrics on Hello Again have been changed a bit since the summer tour.
