Setlist wise- could not ask for much more. Energy was a little low keeping this show from being a 5. Highlights included a sweet #41 opener, Lie in our graves which was absolutly stunning and Granny. Lot of older songs mixed in tonight which was pretty awesome. Pretty solid show overall.

The slowest of the three nights at the Gorge this year - thanks for ending it with a blistering version of Two Step!! Without that, I would've been a bit disappointed - that is, until the next night...

This show was fantastic. Althought I wasn't too pleased about hearing "Hunger" and "Dreamgirl" again. We were sitting next to this 16 year old girl who got so high that the entire show she was just going mad waving her limbs and screaming at the most inappropriate moments. Also, her mother was there teaching her to smoke. I thought that was cute.

Opening with #41 was great! I could do without the WTWE and Crash but no complaints whatsoever about this show! The energy was awesome and the set list was great! I was really hoping to hear #34 so that was great and loved the Butterfly tease! The Two Step closer couldn't have been any better! That's what I was hoping for because it just capped off a great night! Great energy and just an unbelievable show! Boyd and Carter seemed to just be full of energy even maybe a little more than the rest of the band! GREAT GREAT SHOW!

Setlist for this show was packed full of the usual crowd pleasers. Lie In Our Graves was freaking kickass! The Gorge was packed for this night and the vibe was definitely much more high strung than on Friday or Sunday. Some annoying overly drunk people but what more can you expect for a Saturday show.

#41 is an unbelievable opener. It puts the whole crowd into a state of eager anticipation of what's to come. Having said that, the message of LIOG combined with the music and Boyd's obvious enjoyment of playing that fiddle part, is a song that is a highlight of almost any show where it's played. Tonight was no exception, although a "Two Step" encore comes close. This show was good, but the weakest of the 3 over the weekend.

Same as previous night, the band was very tight and in connected. We were way back on the grass with the kids, so we were slightly disconnected, but overall it was awesome. Long live the Gorge!

User: MattGehl13
Review:
The guy beside me was at his 41st show and said "I hope they open with #41". Start of a perfect night. Dreamgirl was disappointing as I thought it was the whole weekend. But if you saw that LIOG and don't regard Boyd as a freaking god, you must be deaf, dumb and blind. LIOG was the highlight of the weekend. Getting to hear a #34 was good because it's not a regular. The Everyday>>#36 then Ants was nice. ODH didn't translate live as well as I thought it would have. And of course Two Step was Two Step.

I spent nearly the last 5 years in Japan, where the band doesn't play and not many albums are sold. I lived with DMB purely through albums that friends sent to me and I never got tired of them. This was the first show I went to since trying to unsuccessfully sneak in at the Gorge in 2000 and the concert I attended as a new fan at the LB Day Ampitheater in Salem in '94. Tonight I realized fully just what DMB stands for--and that is living out their of their love for music, fans and each other through live performance and improvisation. You may remember me and my "moose calls" to bring Dave and pals back out. This night just strenthened my love for and dedication to the band. Tonight--Carter and Boyd, holy crap, you rocked and moved my wife and I. Dave, Carter, Boyd, Leroy, Stefan, together you have brought a lot of smiles and sweet sways to my life. Thank you. --Matt

The second night came with an obstructed view because of the 25 people standing in front of my friend and I. The night was a blast though. Granny is always a treat. YKN and #34 are beautiful, especially 34, bring tears to me everytime. Boyd rocked out on LIOG. Two Step is always a nice closer and I can never go wrong with my fav, #41. Great evening, but then came night three....

Tonight rocked, just as Friday did. It was a lot melllower but favs of the night were #34, YNK, LIOG (with an awesome jam and Boyd went nuts), Ants (which I'd been dying to hear), and Two Step (which has a crazy bit right before the mellow jam. That was nuts). Tonight was Carter's night, especially though, Boyd. He was absolutley crazy and I loved every second of it! It's a toughie between which show was better of the 2 so far.

Great show, probably 3rd best out of the 3 nights for me. Loved You Never Know, 34, BOWA. When the World Ends really got the place rocking more than I expected so I may have to rethink my opinion on that song.

Wow, it's like each night gets better and better. I have been waiting forever to hear song #34 (one of my all time favorites) and I thought it sounded great. They crowd wasn't into that song to much (not many around me knew what it was). It was again a great set list with incredi9ble energy from the band. Boyd has seemed to get hyoed and dance a lot more lately. Love it.

I like the new stuff especially Stand Up. Carter's funky beat is lovely. I also liked Hunger..., it seemed especially loud which I liked too. LIOG was, as always, delightful - Boyd never fails. Carter's solo at the end during Two Step was mind crushing - with Butch accompanying with almost a B3 Organ type sound - serious sonic vibrations!

Night 2, AMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZING!!!!! This was my 20th show on the 20th of August, how Ironic. At that matter this was also the best show I've seen this year, topping Bonnaroo. First off, #41 as an opener as the sun set over that beauitful canyon. This was the first #41 I've heard live since the 9/11/03 show at Hershey, what a great moment. Then, Best of What's around, Crash Into Me, What would you say, Lie in our graves, You never know(hadn't heard that since 8/24/03), and yes, #34. First time ever hearing it live, and it was everything I thought it would be. Also, a very high-powered version of Granny. Then there was Everyday, and Boyd's wah-powered violin sound echoed through the Gorge as everyone sang the lyrics to #36, another great moment, then it seagued into Ants Marching and the place errupted! It was awesome. Dave's guitar was awesome during the Boyd jam at the end. Then they came back and played Old Dirt Hill, which I happen to like alot live, it sounds nice with Boyd plucking the violin in perfect sequence with Dave's guitar licks. Kinda reminds me of and island jam or something. Then... Two Step. Great Two Step encore closer, especially the beginning. I looked around at the beauitful views as they started up the song, and then looked up at the stars as you could hear the famous guitar riff from Dave that this song is known for. The opener(#41) and the Closer (Two Step), were the two songs of the night. It was Crash-album kinda night and it reminded me alot of the old days, which was nice. I sat out on the lawn during this show, and it's the best view I've ever had from a lawn seat, not so much a view of the band, but the OVERALL view. You can see way more than in the pit. This show is one that will be very difficult to top. I'll se y'all Tomorrow night for night 3: The finale.

For my money anytime he closes with Two Step it is a beautiful thing
