I had heard nothing but bad things about the sounds at Tinley, and it was all true, BUT when you are going to see the DMB, none of that shit matters. I got to see the Can't Stop I was waiting for all throughout the 06 tour. It was a good day for me altogether, a solid DMB show but not the most memorable.

P-Funk was awesome, that should got tons more attention. The nonstop playing was insane. Can't believe some ppl didnt care to see them bc they "never heard of them" that may cry a little inside. The addition of the pfunk horns def pushed this show from 3 stars to 4.
As for the dmb set, decent, maybe my expectations were too high, def some great highlights though one of the best rapunzels and bartenders i've heard, and jimi was amazing with the horns. And i think that should be listed as a last stop tease, bc i got mad. But loved the experience in illinois after only going to camden or nyc, loved the crowd. I still take MSG over anything, but the show was def worth the plane ride.

3rd Row Section 104 close to the center aisle. My son was the eight year old in the orange hoody. Carter gave him not one, but two sticks at the end of the encore - one of which was used during the encore. His first DMB show but not the last - a great sovenier and memory for him...

I thought this was an over all good show. I was at noblesville, In for both nights and compaired to that it was ok. Dave and the band seemed burned out. Knowing that it was thier last stop I can accept that. I herd songs that I have not herd yet and I liked that. Great show get some rest Dave.

This is my sixth show of the summer...not sure how many that brings my total to. I will say that I think I am spoiled now having been to the Gorge (first time there this month), so maybe that put a damper on this show. The setlist was fine, but the venue is horrible. The view from my seats (Sec 105, Row W) was ok, but the sound was really bad. I agree with an earlier post that the music is MUCH louder than the vocals, and it is almost impossible to hear what Dave was saying. The George Clinton opener was..."interesting" to say the least (what is with the guy in a diaper?) but now I can say I saw George Clinton. The addition of their horns toward the end of the DMB set was pretty cool...I like Rashawn's reaction to their parts. Anyway, this show will rank at the bottom of those I have seen this year, with a battle between night 2 at Alpine, and night 2 at The Gorge for the top spot. FARM AID, here we come! :)

My last show of the summer :( Not the greatest setlist I have ever heard, but some damn good jams!! PNP->Rapunzel was pretty solid! Never heard Proudest Monkey live until this summer and I got it 4 times...crazy!! I was pretty happy with Bartender. I love that song with a passion. Hunger right after that was pretty cool (my sorta boyfriend loves that one). They definitely rocked on those two!! I love the Idea of You and it was good!! Pissed with the big You Might Die Trying. I like that song, but when you say things like "last stop" in the intro...you could here a everyone's heart's drop! Awesome Ants! Encore was good, but all pretty short songs.
I will never fully complain about a show. I am soooo thankful I get to experience the best band ever live as many times as I do. Like I said, not my fave setlist, but executed to the DMB perfection that I always expect!!
PS Dave's voice sounded awesome!!!

Great energy and what seemed to be a great crowd. It was nice to get a real encore compaired to the nati show I saw earlier this summer (3 minute everyday encore). P-Funk was great and their horns were amazing. They did a longer ASTB than usual as well as a fabulous Jimi Thing. It sounded like Dave messed up one spot on Bayou and went into the chorus early, but it was cool, he fixed himself right away and was good to go. Great opening, nice to hear Proudest finally. Hunger/Bayou back to back was great too. I can't rate shows because they're each indivudual...this one was great though.

Band sounded great, set list left a bit to be desired. Nothing unexpected but was very happy to hear You Might Die Trying and first time Dave's guitar realy stood out at a show for me...especially during Bartender. First good show I have been to at Tinley. Dave's voice seemed to be near perfect. Extra horns at the back end of the show were sweet as well.

Really nice because it was a road show with Jack, Kasey, David, pregnant Paige, Alex and first timer Amy. Too Much got me to jump with the fuck it up, fuck it up, fuck it up, fuck it up, fuck it up, fuck it up, fuck it up, fuck it up, yeah! Jimi Thing went round and round with the four horns men playing. Overall I would say B. Good crowd, good venue, but the sound seemed off all evening.

Disappointed about this show. 5th of the summer and 10th overall and for the summer this was defliently number 5 but Noblesville(1 and 2) and Alpine(3 and 4) are very hard to beat. He came on late (8:30) and ended at 11 so only a 2 and a half hour show he could of done better than that for being one of the last shows. I guess hes saving it all for C'ville though. Highlights of the night though all the horns and best verison of Jimi Thing Ive heard and ASTB. Not the best night but I still had a good time how cant you have a good time at a DMB concert. Now the long wait till the next time they play :(

My 4th show of this Summer 2006 Tour and 10th total and I again left as I do everyshow... AMAZED! I write this review not to talk about the show or compare it to others I have been to, but because tonight once again showed why I have loved this band for 10 years now and what makes them so special. No matter what song IS or IS NOT played, I will never complain about a setlist because going to a DMB concert is something I can't explain. I feel blessed to be listening to a band that has so much PASSION and LOVE for their music and fans that to see them live is one of the greatest things to experience. Tonight again showed how much they love doing what they do, and they give it everything they have up on that stage. Whatever is going on in my life, good or bad, for the 3 hours that I am at a DMB show, I forget about everything and become lost in the greatness that is this band. Thank you DMB for all that you have done, thank you for another Summer to remember, and I will see you on Tour next year!

Great show! Aside from Rapunzel opener, the beginning was kind of low-energy, but it really picked up with an amazingly-lit Hunger and an awesome Bayou with Boyd going crazy as usual. The horns from Pariament were awesome of ASTB, Jimi Thing, and even a great Ants at the end. Sister and Granny in the Encore were too low energy after what had turned into suchan intense show, but Stay was OK. The encore was too short, though. Dave said something like "This is our Last Stop on the road" and everyone went crazy, but then they went into a pretty good verson of Die Trying

I take back half the bad things I said about The World Music Theatre. The experience in the pavillion was way better than the previous one in the lawn. For me, one song sums up this show and that was Bartender. I had never heard it at a show before and it was terrific. Also, Too Much and Ants got the crowd singing along nicely. Dave sorta teased the crowd by using the words 'Last Stop' in a sentence near the end of the set before going into 'You Might Die Trying.' Great to hear him refer to the venue as 'The World' as opposed to all the other newer names. Ready for a winter tour, or more realistically, an '07 summer tour. Love DMB.

What a weekend. Had 2 primo seats and 2 ok seats. Invited another couple. Drove down to the concert from WI - a 3.5 hour ordeal with Chicago traffic. After the show drove till 1am and stopped in Janesville WI for the night. We attended the UW Badger football game saturday afternoon then drove to Greenbay sunday morning for a packer game. Awesome but needed a day or 2 to recover.

This is the first time Ive seen DMB since 1995. My wife has loved the band for awhile and she had never seen them so I suprised her with tickets over the summer. Needless to say we both LOVED the show regardless of what setlist infrequency test it scored(had no idea there was such a thing). It was so amazing to see her face when the band took the stage. She ranks it as the best time shes ever had outside of getting married, and having kids of course. No the venue isnt the best, I have seen Phish and Futhur Fest there and the no tailgating is a bummer but we went there to hear Dave and DAVE KICKING ASS is what we got. Heres hoping there are many more shows in our future!

Alright, so it was my last show of this tour and now I go right into clincal depression. The boys were definitely on tonight and had a slew of guests. HFTGL and Bayou right next to on another was insane, as was ASTB. Jimi Thing was also a highlight of the evening. Sister is such a beautiful song, I cannot wait to give the song to my sister. So, rundown of the tour: I had four shows this summer making my grand total 13. Three out of the four setlists were somewhat similar, the different show being the July 2 show at Alpine, which turned out to be the best show I have seen. However, many months ago I had Warehouse pending tickets for the Michigan show, but decided to cancel them and switch to the Cincinnati show. That is arguably the biggest regret of my life. Why? Because I missed Dreaming Tree and Raven. I was very much praying for Dreaming Tree this evening, but I am sure the boys are just preparing for Charlottesville, which I would give about anything to go to. The new songs debuted on this tour were amazing as well, the boys really seemed to be into the music like always this tour and it was good they busted out old songs this tour such as Dreaming Tree, Raven, Last Stop, Proudest Monkey, Digging a Ditch, Sleep to Dream Her, PFWYG, JTR etc. I will now anxiously wait for the arrival of my Fenway Park CD's, because getting new live shows without nowing the setlist is on some small level like being at a concert. Thanks again DMB and fellow die hard fans for another amazing year, and I will see you in 2007.

This show was pretty good, although they didn't seem to do as much jamming as usual. Any show that has an encore of Sister is a success to me. The venue, on the other hand, completely sucked. There is a Tinley Park ordinance that prohibits tailgating and if you get caught there is a $500 fee. And concessions started only selling 1 beer per person around 8:30.

My last of four shows this summer, twenty first overall. Praying for a little something this winter here in the midwest. The setlists have been somewhat repetitive this tour, but I never leave disappointed. It's truly the best thing I do with my time. Bartender was a standout this evening, and the extra horns the latter part of the set were amazing. I must say the sound at the venue could use some work, anytime I've sat in 101 or 105 the music is way louder than the vocals and the Dave speak is incomprehensible which is unfortunate. A copy of the show usually fills in the voids however.

Awesome show. Idea of You and So Much To Say rocked like they always do. Really nice jams on Bartender and especially P-Funk Horns on Jimi Thing. Boyd had absurd solos on Jimi Thing, Ants Marching. Everyday put me at ease like always. First time hearing Can't Stop. Awesome encore, loved Granny. "This is a song I wrote after my sister told me to get my head outta my ass"->Sister. Venue was kinda lame, no tailgating, cops hassling underagers drinking for no reason, heard better acoustics.

Decent setlist - terrible sound system and getting into this venue is a nightmare. We live 1 hour from the First Midwest Center or whatever they're calling it these days. We left at 6pm and missed the first 2 1/2 songs of DMB.
When will I learn to stop wasting money on this venue. Sorry, I'm very bitter about this show.

The show was good. Heard some songs I have never seen live before. The venue is terrible. The sound isn't the best and I was a little upset they made my girlfriend throw out a small key chain because it was metal, but nobody did anything about the drunk kids throwing their rented lawn chairs into crowds of people. Alpine is worth the trip.
