Decent. Feel like I just saw this show in Mansfield. Too much commotion on the lawn tonight to really settle into a groove. BOWA opener seemed like the show would go in a different direction but strayed back to Mansfield. No complaints...enjoying listening to the songs mature and the band tweaking things a little.

alright, so it doesnt look the best on paper, but this concert was amazing. BOWA to start, they havnt played it in a year...thats pretty sweet. right into WTWE, which kept the energy up, even though it was slow, HFTGL was rockin, crash is crash, who doesn't like a little dixie chicken, dream girl was alright, its a nice tune. the new stuff rocked cornbread and 27 are hits. Boyd on LB was insane, one of the best versions ive ever heard. grey street is a classic, DDTW had a rockin ending. 41 was a GREAT add awseome version, one of the longer ive heard live. TWO STEP to close the set how do you go wrong with that? Three song encoure with CRUSH INTO STAY. i dont care what anyone says stay was an awsome song to end it with, the band was jamming so hard at the end and dave was going crazy...this show was so good, and even though it looks weak on paper, i would gladly watch this show over and over again...even if sundays show was that much better

probably the worst dave show ive been to. the atmosphere was great as always but i felt the setlist was poor, granted i was at the first mansfield show this year which was extremly similar. not gonna lie, dave had a ton of energy. the whole show i was thinking tht there would be a monster encore maybe with warehouse or ants marching or even all along the watchtower. not saying stay and crush r bad songs but i dont think they contribute to a great encore.

Overall wasn't the greatest dmb show I've been too but it did have its highs and lows. Highlights - BOWA opener is always great, Bayou boyd absolutely tore it up way more then usual, #27 was tight good to hear new songs then right into cornbread which was the BEST song of the night wow they were having fun, then DDTW with Rudd which brought the energy back from a rather subpar first half of the show and closing with #41 into two step is always fantastic. Crush was a nice suprise in the encore i was predicting sister into stay the way this set was shaping up. But dmb did set the stage for a MONSTER show tomorrow. Here's to hoping they pull through!

Great show. Unfortunately missed the opener (Best Of What's Around) and part of the 2nd song (When The World Ends). Hunger For The Great Light and You Might Die Trying were both really strong and provided much-needed energy to the set. Dreamgirl was extremely relaxing but was followed by two slow songs (Out Of My Hands, #27) and a relatively unknown song (Cornbread) that sort of pulled the entire middle of the set down. Afterwards, though, the band came back strong with You Might Die Trying. Louisiana Bayou was the best version I've heard, featuring Boyd rocking out on the fiddle like never before -- certainly my most memorable Boyd moment to date. Grey Street was phenomenal and filled with a ton of energy. From then on the set rocked... Don't Drink The Water was ridiculous with Xavier Rudd (opening act) wailing on the digeridoo throughout, including during the Still Water intro. #41 followed and lived up to expectations but didn't blow anyone away. Ending the set with Two Step was expected -- the piano solo did not let anyone down -- and as always, it proved itself an incredible closing song. The encore was perfect and the entire crowd was pleased to hear three songs instead of just two. I was dying to hear Dave solo on Sister and it was as beautiful as I had hoped it would be. A great version of Crush followed, and the band could have closed the show there but decided to end with Stay, which of course was the perfect end to a great concert. Rashawn Ross blew us away throughout the night and even added some vocals during the show. One of the best things about this show was the crowd itself... perfect in my opinion before, during, and after the concert.

Worst DMB show I have ever seen. The few highlights were Two Step and DDTW. #41 and Grey Street are songs that I love that it seemed that they just went through the motions with. As for the crowd, I don't understand how people here think it was a good energy. This was my first time in Hartford, and yes the place was packed, but I thought in the lawn the crowd was not into the show at all. Just a bunch of teenagers who barely know any of the songs and are more interested in texting each other during the show! Or calling their friends and screaming into their phones "Where are you?". I realized that different sections of the lawn probably didn't have this, but these idiots kept coming and going only to be replaced by new idiots. We left before the encore because the show sucked so much. I will never go to this venue again. I live in Saratoga Springs and SPAC is the best venue around. It is beautiful, intimate, and fun.

Look every DMB show is great if you are a diehard fan like myself. Its like pizza even when its bad its good. But this was one of the weakest setlists I've ever seen in person. Very low key for a huge portion of the show and then I figured we'd get a real rockin encore, but not so much. On the positive side the new songs sounded really good. I love #27, I'm a big fan.

Hats off to the Hartford crowd for keeping an awesome energy level throughout the show. BOWA opener was completely unexpected and very well played. As for the entire second half of the setlist - wow. YMDT (which I hadnt heard since Hartford 2005 and sounds GREAT now), LB (Boyd tore it up), Grey Street (pretty standard version, the crowd was very into it), Still Water -> DDTW (great energy again, imo perfect guest spot for Xavier), #41 (my favorite song, it was as perfect a moment for it as could have been), Two Step (AWESOME), Sister (Carter came out with Butch to do the harmonies for the chorus from Butchs mic - very cool to see), Crush (this was Rashawn and Lerois song), and Stay (we went nuts when we realized we were about to get a 3 song encore). Great great show, in my opinion 20 times better than Mansfield N2. DMB has always treated the Hartford crowd very well with the quality of shows theyve provided. PS - Stefan wore a UCONN t-shirt tonight...that made a lot of people happy, haha.

Hartford has some great crowds. I'm a Texas girl and the DMB fans just aren't the same. We'll have to work on that. Another great night with the DMB and another great opener. Love BOWA to kick off the show. I love how Cornbread has transitioned to full band status. I just rocks and it's amazing. The video background just completes the package. Really dug the Still Water intro to DDTW. And it happened tonight, it finally happened. After 9 shows and 2 summers without #41, they finally played it for me again, and it was beautiful and amazing. I read somewhere that on Thursday night, the boys had to cut it and Some Devil from the setlist because of the extended Grace and the curfew. But of course, they're always going to deliver. Always, even if we have to wait around a little while. The Hartford crowd was great and I loved the fact that everyone was on their feet the whole time singing every song at the top of their lungs. Thank you, namaste.

A "quiet" show as Dave would say. It was wonderful to hear #41 and a great solo by Rashawn Ross. Xavier Rudd's didgeridoo intro into Stillwater/DDTW was outstanding. The show picked up steam at LB and carried that energy through to the end. Dave was very animated throughout, but the setlist kept the band subdued until LB. Sorry, but I have to flame a little now. Judging by the crap left by many of the tailgaters, Hartford must be a literal dump. Who are these people that go to a DMB show and leave every bit of their shit for someone else to clean up? Maybe their mothers need to come pick up after them or at least grab them by the ear and show them what a garbage can is for.

I'm very surprised to see the fair to poor reviews on here for this show. From where we were, the band had great energy all night long, and it was one of the best Hartford shows we'd seen in a long while. The band was clearly having a great time, and they seemed more into it than other recent Hartford shows. Highlights included #27, Corn Bread, YMDT, DDtW, #41, and Two Step. Crowd around us were cool, diehard fans. The only bummer was how loud the crowd was during the few quiet songs, Out of My Hands and Sister. It was obvious that Dave was annoyed during Out of My Hands.

From the opener of BWA through WTWE and OSW I felt like, “OMG, I love these old songs – it feels so wonderful to be back!” So, needless to say I was amped. But the energy really dropped for me in the middle of this concert. The songs felt slower and many of them were newer, so I was unfamiliar with them. As far as the band, clearly they were energized and completely into their performance. But I think I actually sat during Crash and OOMH. Of course #27 and Cornbread were cool to dance to, but I wouldn’t say they were amazing. Then I heard a song that was new to my ears (I wrote down “the song before LB”, so I guess that means it was YMDT?), and I was like, “Dude, this song is the jam!” From there, perhaps with the exception of GS, the energy increased at an exponential rate. The davespeak was crazy tonight, and Boyd’s solos were all over the stage and it made the entire crowd go nuts. When Xavier came out and jammed with the guys it was insane, and when he played through SW and DDTW it was an amazing experience. Then came #41 – what can I say? It probably is No. 1 of my Top 5 live DMB songs. I was lucky enough to catch it here on 29Jul06 with Warren, and now I got it again. The stop-time version of Everyday/#36 at the end of the song is so much fun! And I think Dave even remembered all of the words this time… Then came Two Step – I don’t think I’ve heard it since Central Park, so at this point I was about to lose my mind. Then came a THREE-song encore, which I didn’t even need, but it kept the night going strong. Overall the high energy of the band and the audience definitely made it a night to remember.

not a bad setlist by any stretch of the imagination. just a bit on the quieter side. #41 rocked, was expecting it since we were supposed to get it the other night at the tweeter center. still not tired of hearing #27 either. hoping for a more upbeat setlist tonight!

this was my 18th DMB show (the 19th followed on Sunday), and I'd honestly say that it was top 5. Maybe I'm just saying that right now because I loved it so much, but either way, this was hands down the most energetic I've ever seen the band play. The new songs are absolutely unbelievable. The band is back to writing songs like in their early days, and it's very clear how excited they are about it. Even the "old" new songs that debuted on tour last year have been completely redone, and you can see how they've evolved. Unbelievable. The whole show was amazing (except for maybe Out of My Hands), and one of the best DMB experiences I've had in 19 shows. A lot of you people need to stop going to the shows with all these expectations, and stop looking for things to say "ehhh" about.. you spent the money to go and enjoy yourself, and htat's what you should be doing. Every show should be a great experience for you

REALLY LOW KEY! And not to mention a random set-list. They played too many slow songs and when they tried to toss in something a bit more upbeat, it didn't work too well. All the songs were amazing individually but it didn't seem to flow too well. And Stay as a closer was too cliche.

This was my fourth show Ive been to, and I was really entertained. I went in without any expectations, except that it would be a pretty good concert. You Might Die Trying was the best i have ever heard, and Best Of Whats Around was completely unexpected. The energy was very high, and DDTW with xavier rudd was out of sight. Two Step was shortened but it was great. This was the second time I have been in Hartford and I will go back every year that they play there.

My first Dave show, but I must say, the weakest of the 4 I've seen so far. I agree with some of the other posters here: low-key, soft and laid-back, and pretty random songs too. Dave seems kinda pissed at the crowd for some reason -- in #41, hardly anyone chanted "Ev-ry-day" during the outro. Dave didn't say it for a few extra measures than usual, until the crowd chant could be well-heard. Anyway... Still Water, Crash, Crush = excellent.

The energy of the crowd and the band almost made up for a really mediocre first half of the show. Almost. I'm glad they were all having fun up there, but we kept thinking "ok, when is this going to pick up?" The #41/Two Step combo was great, and Cornbread and #27 are already on fire... all in all I'd say it was a 6.5 or 7 out of 10. I bet n2 is going to blow this show out of the water.

I've been to many, many shows all over and the first half of this show was the worst start to any show I've ever been to. It was song after song of new crap that has no business ever being played ever again. That being said the second half, starting ith Bayou, was as good as the first part was bad. I'm not quite sure was that dude Xavier was smoking a pole on stage barfott, that was kinda weird. We thought the encore was going to be sister and ants, but what we got was great anyway. My only observation was i think the band, especially dave, were slightly off tonight. it seemed even on the faster songs they were not quite at speed and dave kept messing up the words of almost every song. Here we go for night 2.
