wet show. Decent set list but you can feel the difference without butch. Set list wasn't bad but not amazing either. band was tight, good sound quality, even in the lawn (a rarity for the meadows (we still call it that). weather didn't help the mood at all, not the bands fault though. Sort of feels like the band is going through a lull, maybe getting a little tired of the touring every year. Maybe a new album will revive the energy and excitement.

Great show. Fenway is still the greatest show I have been to solely based on the venue. Nothing will ever top seeing DMB in the greatest ballpark in the world.

Nonetheless, a great set list, topped with some rain to make the night more enjoyable, and closing with a Thank you to the fans, dancing like crazy at the end!

Amazing show, Thank You and Cornbread were ridiculous jams, Dave's "Crazy Old Man Dance" was super sexy, as always. Great set, definetly a HUGE pick me up from the first night.

Pure Bliss, dancing under the stars to the live sounds of DMB, no matter what, every year, every show.

Bartender was good as always. Rapunzel had energy. it sounded like something was off (maybe it was just something different) at the end but whatever it was, it worked. While Granny and Gravedigger were great especially singing gravedigger while getting poured on. the rip of Crash, Granny, Gravedigger, Grey Street, Cant Stop and The Maker was just a little to mellow to be enjoyed while getting poured on. I'm not saying that the band has to look at the weather report and say "hey, we should do something special for these guys getting drenched" but there just wasnt a memorable moment during the set. #41 was good as always, and they built up a little suspense by not going right into The Bridge after SMTS (has that wait been standard this year?). Again, it was great to hear pay for what you get, but when you're hoping for a song that makes you want to move, that isnt it. Nancies was great. Corn Bread was good, but i feel N1's was better, and watching dave have so much fun at the end of Thank You like he did during the dave and friend's tour was great.

Out in the lawn! Rained for about the first 5 songs or so, but what a great set list, even better than the night before. Got #41, Grey Street and So Damn Lucky again. Wish had better view of stage when Dave got crazy during Thank You in the encore. Had a blast. Trip to Hartford was great other than the venue. No blankets, no parking, and a poor view of the stage from the lawn.

The band had TOO MUCH energy and the crowd was surprisingly good at Hartford when it came to playing aloung with dave teasing us with anyone seen the bridge. And they could hear us from the Meadows as the hole plase was singing thank you. (dave started to freak out some front row girls with what he called "A Crazy old man dance). The so damn lucky jam was an interesting surprise tim rocked it out on that and Grave Digger. What more is there to say My first Granny, #41, trippin, Rapunzel. Dave F'd up on BIllies but it was all good. It is fun to listen to how the new songs evolve summer to summer. To bad butch isnt there jammin. Thanks again boys.

This show was a blast for my friends and I... as far as the set list goes, it was great in my opinion (could have been a little better) and I thought the band played really well (could have been a bit tighter) but the venue once again came through for us by playing host to a fantastic crowd. Even with the rain (and actually possibly because of the rain), this crowd just rocked all night long -- people were loving the lightning. Opening with Bartender was a total shock -- what a throwback, and what an opener -- so that established the tone for the rest of the show. I was hoping to hear Rapunzel and Granny tonight and both were played within the first four songs. Already we felt the energy from the crowd was having a very positive effect on the band. I expected to hear So Damn Lucky and Gravedigger but I wasn't thrilled that they were played back-to-back. So Damn Lucky was a first for me and I actually enjoyed it quite a bit for a semi-slow tune. Gravedigger... it actually worked for me with the rain and everything. Grey Street followed... I hear it almost every show I've been to, but it is always high energy and I'm definitely not tired of it yet -- tonight was no exception. Great one tonight. The rest of the set was one of the best 45 minutes or so of music I've heard live from these guys. Can't Stop makes me question the band when I hear it, but I got pumped from So Much To Say (first time I've heart it live), Too Much, What You Are and of course Dancing Nancies. Some of the mellow songs that made this set great were #41 (a song I hope to hear every show I'm at) and of course The Maker (another first for me, which did not let down) and Pay For What You Get -- it's always great to brag about seeing a unique song like that one. Closing with Billies... not a big surprise as I figured we'd hear that one at some point, but I thought it would be encore material. The song selection for the encore surprised me a little but I walked away happy -- once we made it past #27 (maybe it will be better on the album?), Corn Bread turned things around and Thank You was actually a really great closer to the encore and the crowd loved it. No older songs the the encore, but it worked. Low point of the night was the really long stretch from Granny to Gravedigger, but Grey Street saved it. Just too rainy for so many mellow songs in a row. High points were tailgating before the show (great people... thanks, Hartford), the Bartender opener, and probably Thank You as the closer. Dave just got really into it with the crowd and made us feel great. What a great reward for bracing the rain, and just a phenomenal a night...

Very very good show. Lawn right behind section 600 was very into it and we had a blast singing along to all the songs. I would have never guessed Bartender opener, but it was fantastic. So much energy. Going into the show the one song I wanted to hear was Granny, and they boys did not disappoint. Rapunzel, #41, SDL, Grey, Gravedigger, Nancies, WYA, and Billies were all highlights. PFWYG is one of those songs that you can brag about if you've seen live, so that was nice. I thought the encore was strong. Cornbread would be my highlight, even though Thank You was a lot of fun. My buddy was a bit skeptic while Dave was singing the verses, and I kept telling him to give it a moment. As soon as Dave put down the guitar and started dancing like crazy, the entire place erupted. Very cool thing to see/hear.

The tailgate will be one for the memories. We got poured on mid-afternoon and then later in the night during the set. Awesome time, awesome people, can't wait for next year.

It's tough to have the anticipation up to a dave show, and the excitement of seeing him live juxtaposed with the reality of a not-so good show. But, honestly, I thought this summer was one of his weakest shows at the Meadows. There's no way to talk about the energy of either night as being anywhere close to delivering when you look at night 2 last year, ending the regular set with an incredible nancies -> warehouse -> smts -> everyday -> ants. Not to mention in the same setlist he gave us the rare, unreleased shotgun. and with an encore like american baby into -> wachtower. I'd say that was dave at his best in the recent several years at Hartford, at list in regards to the the realm of energy.

The band is struggling without Butch and you can hear them trying to overcome to gap in sound. Tim shreds his riffs but they don't fill the sound to which a lot of listeners have grown accustomed.

Still, there were a lot of awesome parts to both nights to make them amazing nights.

by far one of the better dave shows i've been to out of the nine (most likely the best). the seats we snuck into were incredible (thank you to the people who were chill about it, and to that one lady who got pissed....my bad), the set was awesome from start to finish. bartender opener was unpredictable, pnp repunzle jammed, cant stop was decent, i really liked hearing pay for what you get and from the maker on was pure gold. i was riveted to my seat and couldn't find time for a pee break. billies as a closer cannot miss, its impossible it was so cool. and i really liked the encore, a three song encore with 2 dave songs? great spots for those songs. and thank you was a great way to send people off. the dancing by dave was unbelievable and you could hear people singing it for the rest of the night. A+ guys, A+

I disagree with some of the reviewers, who say that the band is missing something without Butch. I wish him the best of luck and Godspeed in his next endeavor, but Tim Reynolds more than fills in for Butch. He adds more of a "rock" sound that I prefer. I'm a music fan, not a musician, but sometimes the keyboards sounded too much like the organ at a baseball game. (Maybe I can relate to a screaming electric guitar more than keyboards.) Also, it was fun to see Tim and Roi "duel" with one another. I can't remember seeing Roi do that with anyone before. I say, "Hello Tim, goodbye (for now) Butch!"

To start off, my second Dave Concert and Damn Straight that was sick. Dave was fully on his stuff tonight bringing out Bartender to start out. The energy was amazing, when the show began it was pouring rain and Dave really made sure we were going to stay and made sure to make a good concert out of it. It was amazing and I got to say the best concert so far by the looks of it on this tour.

The one song I didn't think and was majorly surprised to hear was Pay For What You Get. And that song I never heard before and is always a cool thing to hear a song like thatthat isn't played normally anywhere.

The encore, a very interesting song selection with #27, Cornbread, and ending with Thank You. But still always the amazing finish as the crowd was big into Thank You and Dave doing his crazy dance at the end. Could not get better than that.

Overall concert was amazing and I loved ever minute of it.

Once again we made the trek from Scranton, PA to see the DMB and we were not disappointed, especially coming off a great hometown performance on Tuesday night. Despite the rain, the midset sleepers of "The Maker" and "Cant Stop", and six long hours(round trip) in a car the set was solid and the sound quality on the lawn was great. Definitely worth the trip and look forward to coming back next year!

Tim layed down the best guitar solo of #41 Ive ever heard making it as a solo altogether.. maybe second next to bela flec. Oh and Boyd ripped it up on dancing nancies.

well i thought last night was a very sick show but dave without a doubt topped it tonight! the crowd was so into it, i don't know if their was just more dave fans or the rain made people go crazy and know more songs but at least where I was, it had amazing energy.

bartender was my favorite opener ever, he played really popular songs like crash, rupunzel, tripping billies, and #41 which also helped on the energy aspect. I loved smts>anyone seen the bridge>too much its one of my favorite things dave does, you could just tell by his face he was going to hit anyone seen the bridge. other highlights were gravedigger and grey street which I thought were good choices on account of the rain!

A good show - seen better and have seen worse. The pluses: Opening with Bartender (though I thought it lacked some of the energy in years passed), Granny, #41, funky riffs by Rashwan and Leroi on Anyone Seen the Bridge, Dancing Nancies and Tripping Billies (even with a couple lyric mistakes - or almost) were excellent. Corn Bread rocked and Dave was cookin' on Thank You. Minuses: the show seemed to drag a bit through Can't Stop and The Maker, especially after So Damn Lucky and Gravedigger (even though the renditions were excellent). Thought the show overall had a little bit of a "dark" side with the set list (especially that middle section described above), but nonetheless a really good show and very glad I was there!

PS. Tim and Stefan had some really great stuff going toward the end of the show - just what I was hoping for!

Un-fucking-believable show. First of all, you should know that it was POURING rain. Everyone was soaked to the bone before the lights even went down. At any other show, that might be pretty annoying. And there were plenty of people who high-tailed it out of there early. But what they missed was an incredible show. As lightning struck and the sky got darker and darker, the show kicked off with the most incredible Bartender I've ever heard, including shows I've been to and shows I've listened to. Dave's screaming and 'God is not above you' improv still give me the chills. But they were no slouches the rest of the show, either. It was a very tight, energetic set with the usual #41, Crash Into Me, Too Much, etc. covered, but with Granny, a kickass full-band Gravedigger, the tour debut of Can't Stop, Pay For What You Get, and What You Are (with a LITHOG tease to open!) thrown in for good measure. Nice encore with #27, Corn Bread, and Thank You. The entire night was tight, energetic, and just plain EXPLOSIVE. Do yourself a favor and download this one now. Really an unforgettable show.

Stellar show from the band! However, the rain and thunder and lightning was awful. We were soaked early on but at least it was warm out. The Bartender opener was very surprising to hear. PNP--->Rapunzel was amazing with Tim back; might have been my highlight of the night. So Damn Lucky had a new extended outro and it was really, really good; a few extra minutes of great music! It was fun to hear Can't Stop again but The Maker was a drag. So Much to Say through the rest of the set was really strong as well. The encore was neat and Dave's dancing on Thank You won't ever get old. Well worth the drive from Scranton and looking forward to next year!

Energy was consistent throughout, and though there was a fair number of the 'Play Crash!' fans, the atmosphere was good and everyone had a good time. The Bartender opener and proceeding jam set the tone for the night, and the energy remained very strong until Can't Stop, but quickly recovered with #41. A nice mixture of old and new, and the encore was phenomenal. Sadly, not too many knew #27 or Cornbread (which Timmy ripped up), but the show closed strong and everyone went home happy. Got my first PNP>Rapunzel, Nancies, and Billies, and overall a great night

Good show, and a great selection of songs. Crash, Granny, The Maker were great.

Too Much, Nancies and Billies were amazing.
Boyd, once again, is THE man.
