I was hoping to see Tim Reynolds for the first time at this show and he did not disappoint. He was great! For all you that nitpick about the venue and the setlists, you ought to be thankful that the band tours every year and appreciate it while it is still going on. Everybody always complains about Hershey but it is one of the most attended shows every year it is on DMB's schedule and the band is always energized and seems to love to play here and it certainly showed again this year. Also, for all you critics that say the crowd was not into it, I don't know what show you were at because the crowd was definitely into the show from where I was sitting and why did the band just play it's longest show of the season with an awesome encore? Because the crowd was not into it, I don't think so. Enjoy the music and the band while they still enjoy playing together.

The last time I would see LeRoi Moore play, and he completely owned. The show started off weak with an Old Dirt Hill opener and Everyday, but the band picked up steam soon afterward and never looked back. Probably the best of the four shows I saw in 2008. Highlights included Bartender, Typical Situation, and an epic Two Step that still blows me away every single time I listen to it.

Despite having to sit through where are you going and crash back to back, hearing typical situation, the quality of the songs, the encore, and the length of the show brought it up to 4 stars.

This show was amazing. They didn't want to stop. Probably the best encore I've seen (Money--> Two Step--> Ants). Didn't get offstage until 11:40pm. Typical Situation tour debut and great version. Great Bartender, Nancies, Jimi Thing and Two Step as well. Hilarious Dave speak throughout and hilarious Dave dance during Too Much. =)

The show was over 3 hours and they did a 3 song encore. This show is a great example of how Tim Reynolds adds a lot to this band. Lots of great solo's and some pretty funny dave speak about hershey's syrup. yay!

Dave and the band were on fire. High Energy and powerhouse set!

Dave talked about how

A. He was at the chocolate factory and they were making Christmas Kisses.
B. He wiped out on his bike and hurt his knee and it wasn't cool because he wasn't doing anything crazy
C. There is a monkey he hides under his piano that has a shiny red penis with blue balls.
D. Everyone should buy Hershey's chocolate syrup in the can because you need to get your hands sticky sometimes.
E. Randomly walking up to the mic and saying chocolate

The show was a blast and the encore was fantastic! Best Step into ants and the jam during ants was held out for a long time. Awesome Awesome Awesome! Show #10!!!!!

The show was incredible! I had never been to Hershey before, and I have to say I prefer Tweeter's field (because of the grass and the sloping lawn, versus a flat padded concrete space). It was a magical night as Dave shows always are!

I felt this was the best show I have been to out of about 6. The whole set list was great and they really had alot of energy and played very well. Best part of the night was the encore when Dave and Tim broke out into Two Step after everyone thought it was over. Great show overall! Still wanted to hear 41 but theres always next time!

I went to four shows in 2008 and this was by far the best show. Dave loves playing in Hershey and he said it many times during the concert. It was the longest concert of the summer. He went on at 8:15 and finished at 11:45!

The soundcheck for this show was one sweet world. There was a torrential downpour for several hours leading up and my brother and I almost called it a day. About an hour before the doors open the sun popped out and the band was in really good spirits on stage. This was the second to last gig that Leroi played.

This was my ninth DMB show, and probably the most disappointing setlist I've experienced. Thw whole thing was like an Eagles game: it started off slow, and then it was a scramble at the end to pull off a good show. The beginning of the show was incredibly mellow, with the exception of Grey Street and Dancing Nancies. The crowd seemed pretty bored. The encore basically made up for the mellow show, though, with Money, an amazing rendition of Two Step, and a surprise Ants Marching. Still, though, I couldn't help leaving feeling a little disappointed. :( Maybe hershey was just the wrong show to go to...better luck next year!

I thought the show was overall average. Some good Davespeak with the Hershey can and other chocolate related stuff. Seeing Stefan's son (and wife?) jump up and down during his moment in ASTB was cool. The Encore was killer with Two Step and then Ants. Some technical difficulties with the instrumentation lead to some interesting onstage moments...Dave not playing during the first part of Grey Street and his dancing during Too Much. The band playing wise wasn't as sharp as I've heard. There were a few questionable song choices (ODH as an opener, up and down setlist and WAYG period). Also, the venue isn't very good. Poor sound, band seems far away and getting into the seating was a pain as was getting out of the parking lot. One of the guys I came with got arrested immediately after entering the venue. Toilets smelled pretty bad. Also was a smell of puke in certain areas. Can't ever say a DMB show was bad though.

It's always a pleasure to see DMB...but it just wasn't one of my favorites unfortunately. Don't get me wrong, these guys love what they are doing, they are damn good at it and it shows. Even though the setlist was not that great (my opinion based on what I like), I appreciate watching them perform.
Great to finally see Tim with the band...he's just friggin amazing! Liked the news songs and Typical live.
The show started out slow...and stayed that way for most of the night. The only thing that saved this for me was the encore. Three songs and way past the curfew. Money...cool to see, Two Step always rocks and then Ants Marching was a much needed surprise.
But, yes...overall it was a disappointment for me, especially considering we can only do one show this year.

I'd really like to give it a 4 1/2 star, but don't have the choice. Old Dirt Hill was a slightly slower start, but I liked it. Everyday is Everyday, can't say much more. YMDT, Eh Hee and Grey Street (one of my favorites!) got the crowd going. Low point was Out of My Hands. Cool to be part of only a handful of crowds who have seen Dave on the piano, but it sucked the energy from the crowd. Dancing Nancies was great. Typical Situation was surprisingly good for a full band, I thougth it may be better as a D&T song. WRYG and Crash are always good. Ending Jimi Thing with the crowd urging Dave for "stop baby what's that sound..." was awesome. I was extremely excited to hear So Damn Lucky. It has slowly become one of my top 5 Dave/DMB songs. So Much to Say - > Anyone Seen the Bridge? - > Too Much was an amazing way to end the show and get the crowd going. Money to start the encore was great (I was wondering when the cover would come!). Two Step seemed like it would end the night, it was a little after 11:30 and everybody figured it was over, but going right into Ants Marching was the most amazing way to end the night (especially since i've never heard Ants).

Tim was, well Tim (his solos on Money and Two Step were out of this world). Boyd was amazingly energetic as well, it got the crowd going

First and foremost, no songs from Before These Crowded Streets!? I was bummed, to say the least. I thought that the show started off a lil slow for my liking. Old Dirt Hill as an opener just didnt cut it for me. This was the first time i've heard Eh Hee live and i thought it sounds great, especially with the heavy guitar from Tim. The show finally picked up with Dancing Nancies and the songs that followed. Personally, I got to hear some songs that I havnt heard live until last night such as Bartender and Typical Situation. Dave had some really Hilarious commentary during the show. He was all about the chocolate last night. The monkey joke was just too damn funny. Also, I loved how Dave improvised with the dancing when he apparently had some technical difficulties with his guitar. Closer was great, glad it wasn't Thank You. I'm still waiting ever so patiently to hear Halloween.

Musically, the show is not a 5-star. They played Old Dirt Hill as the opener (a first). Slow start, really. However, the show got better as it went on. And a triple encore with Two Step right into Ants Marching. I was shocked when Carter started Ants. It was completely unexpected. I assumed that Two Step was the encore closer. And, that\'s not all. Dave\'s dancing during Cornbread and Jimi? Ha! Wonderful! And his monkey under the piano behind the curtain? Hilarious! And, best of all, Hershey Syrup in a can. First off, I have to buy a can of syrup now, just for fun. Secondly, don\'t let the syrup can go the way of the dodo bird or the dinosaurs. Dave, with the way he was really put it over the top for me. This show, because of him, is better than Scranton 6.10, even if that show was musically better in the first half.

HAD to be one of the best shows Dave ever put on at Hershey! The crowd was really into it, and I think the band fed off of that! (Not to mention the crowd being in such good voice!) Jimi thing was not only a band jam, it was a band AND audience jam cuz' we got our turn!

It looked like Dave had some equipment problems, but he made the best of it, and was dancing around like crazy! (Can't wait to hear the Dave-speak about buying the can of Hershey Syrup as opposed to the plastic bottle!)

And FINALLY, he played Typical Situation for me! It's been 11 shows and I finally got to hear it live!

To the people adding the setlist, you left too soon, because he added Ant's Marching after a FAST AS HELL Two Step! Carter looked like he was going to die!!!

Timmy added such dimension to the performance, his solos were in line with Warren Haynes, Frank Zappa and David Gilmour (the Money solo was spot on!)

Great show guys, I think you've got your Live Trax #13 in the can!

In my opinion, this was going to be a 2-star show until they saved it. For a long time tonight it seemed like there was no vibe between the band and the crowd - it was overcast and they were playing songs like ODH, OoMH, WAYG, Crash and some others that I've just heard way too many times. Nancies was the first sign of life for me, and TS and the encore were the shots of adrenaline the show needed. Tim is the man on Money, and I'm pretty sure starting Ants at 11:35 was Carter's idea of a practical joke - it rocked and I got to laugh at everyone leaving. Also, thanks to a 6'5" 300 pound fan named Dave who decided to stand right in front of me in A row 28 (even though his ticket was for row 30), say that every song was Cornbread as soon as it started, and turn around to sing every Dave screaming part to his friends directly behind us. Take a shower and brush your teeth, mutant.

This was my first DMB show (after being a fan for a couple of years) and I absolutely loved it. The beginning of the show catered to newer albums (but only the finest of cuts, including an unexpected, but still very pleasing opener in Old Dirt Hill) and the rest was classic DMB (including an awesome jam on my personal favorite, Jimi Thing). Tim's solo during Two Step (the second song in the encore) was absolutely mind-blowing and the band could not have provided me with a better first experience.

Wow, what an amazing show. The band completely disregarded the 11 PM sound curfew, and played an awesome set.

Old Dirt Hill: Dave introduced the opener with a story about how he had fallen off of his bike earlier that day. "nothin fancy, i just fell off" and then he opened with a nice acousticy version of Old Dirt Hill.

Everyday: A nice opener, and a crowd pleaser

You Might Die Trying: Not my favorite Dave song, but it was well done. Tim's solo was nice

Eh Hee: It was nice to hear something new.

Grey Street: a Dave classic, but he played it a little slower than usual, which was interesting. Dave didn't play very much, and appeared dissatisfied with it, but it was a nice groove.

Bartender: Wow. An extended intro with dave teasing the song, and an overall amazing song.

Cornbread: This song is always fun, it never lets me down.

Out of My Hands: Dave on piano!! (i would have liked A Dream So Real, but i was pleased with out of my hands)

Dancing Nancies: This is where the concert picked up. Dave picked up a can of Hershey's syrup and encouraged us to "not let the can die. It might get a little sticky, but thats how it's supposed to be." He then started Nancies teasing with "thats how it's supposed to be" Awesome song.

Typical Situation: One of my all time favorites! and he doesn't play it often! They were a little rusty on the jam in the second half of the song, but it was great nonetheless.

Where Are You Going: usually not one I would like, but i enjoyed it with Crash

Crash Into Me: also kind of a buzz-kill usually, but up until then the show had a very controlled feel (a slower grey street, out of my hands, typical situation). Played well and placed well, the crowd loved it.

Jimi Thing: Wow. This was the best Jimi Thing that I have heard ever. I was there in Camden for that awesome one, but this was just amazing. Everyone wanted in on a solo, and Tim kind of nudged his way in at the end. Then the crowd prompted Dave on "stop, hey, what's that sound everybody look what's going down" (Which I started from the lawn). He sang it into the mic at the end!

So Damn Lucky: the band was so pumped after that Jimi Thing, they went into So Damn Lucky and played the awesome jam at the end, which kept going on and on.

At that point I thought the show was done, (even with the Too Much soundcheck. But wait!

Rhyme and Reason: I have wanted to hear this song for a while, and Tim's solo in the middle was perfect.

Now the show can end, it was a good ending..... wait again!

So Much to Say > Anyone seen the Bridge (with stops!) > Too Much: Holy shit! I can't take it! Dave broke a string on Too Much and when he got his new guitar he danced around the stage with it on his head. Wow.

Encore break: will he do cover songs for the Encore or awesome songs? answer, both!

Money: good to hear (again ...) but the crowd liked it.

Two Step: you have got to be kidding!! and they played an interlude that i had not heard before which made it extra special.

end of show... wait!!
Ants Marching: Holy Shit! it was amazing and capped off a great night. wow, two night stand next time please!!

Great show, the jams were hot, they played till 1145, i felt like i hand my hand in the cookie jar for the encore, it was stealing time, and i loved every second of it. Bartender was epic, sdl outro kicked ass, can knock the grin off my face with a tire iron.

I really liked the show a lot. Most songs seemed to retain much of the "original / classic" format, at least for the official "song". Jams were great, Timy Reynolds was great to see -- he really fills out the sound of DMB. Two step was awesome and Dave's enthusiasm was infectious (fist pumping). Carter leading right into Ants Marching was great. You could tell the band had a great time, which is a hallmark of a great time for me. I give the show an A.

Awesome, I met dave at the park before hand and told him I was getting married 6/28 and he congradulated me and I asked if he could play Typical and he said yes and winked. When that came on during the set I was so amazed, I couldn't believe that he was actually playing it, and then followed it 2 songs later with Crash which was my wedding song. I was with my aunt Michele who is the best aunt in the world and couldn't have asked for a better wedding gift than meeting dave.

I'd give it a 3 until dancing nancies and then they really turned it up and it was pretty close to a 5 from then on. Tim was incredible throughout. Ants Marching as a third encore really surprised and energized the crowd

The show started out slow but it got better and better! Typical and Nancies are always welcome, of course, and I was so glad to hear Grey Street without Butch! The encore really made this show memorable, from their fun cover of Money, to the AWESOME jam on Two Step, and the amazing surprise Ants! Hershey is a terrible venue though, and I'll probably never go back there for another show. Flat cement covered by rubber mats, acoustics suffered as a result, security people were jerks, and it was filled with poser "fans." I was unaware I was wearing a shirt that said "shove me around, drunken douchebags!" I have to say, we got a great ongoing joke from a most disturbing/hilarious moment: some dick and his high as a kite girl came over during Crash and started having sex right next to us, right in front of everyone! We and the people around us all kept asking each other in disbelief, "Are they #$%@ing?"

Great show. Hershey never dissapoints. Slow start, but fantastic finish. Lots of good Dave speak and Typical Situation was perfect. The encore was one of the better ones I've ever seen, and this band's cover of Money is right on with Tim Reynolds nailing every solo.

Never been impressed with a Hershey show. This one was just OK. Old Dirt Hill is bad choice for opening song in my book. The band redeemed themselves with the SMTS>ASTB>TM followed by Money, Two Step and then Ants.
Horns came in too early at the end of Too Much and Dave had problems with his guitars more than once.
We were caught up in a surging excited crowd that was eager to thank the band as they left in their tour buses.

Dead center about 15 rows away.. It was my sisters present to me for graduation.. The best I have ever seen him up until the second night in Camden of 2010... One thing that I really admire about the band is who they pick for their opening acts.. The black crowes were a perfect pick to get you pumped and ready for Dave... They had a great two step and an amazing encore

This was #10 for me. Excellent. They didn't stop for over 3 hrs. They raise the bar all the time and the encore was relentless. I could of heard some newer songs, but no complaints. Because of room to breath and a better crowd I would put this ahead of SPAC on 6/20. Still wishing I stayed for SPAC 6/21!

Great show. Very pleased with the diversity from burgettstown, and I didn't mind the songs they played over again because they pretty much jammed the f ck out of them and every other song the entire night. Tim Reynolds was worth the price of admission, as usual, solos all night were crazy especially YMDT and money and two step. Jammed the sh t out of the entire encore, and jimi thing, nancies, bartender, and TS. Loved Dave's chattyness, and the best song of the night for me was Ehhee, full band with Tim on the electric guitar...unreal. Possibly the best DMB song right now.

Not a great show. Crowd was dead and the band didn't seem into it. Dave had guitar troubles on Grey Street and Too Much and it took him out of the songs. ODH was a weak opener; looked around and not many people seemed to care. Also, no singing at the end of Everyday or Jimi Thing from the crowd, though they went nuts for Nancies. The encore was really solid but doesn't make up for everything else. Overall, not a great show.

Good times.. Sound was better than I remember back in 2000. Old Dirt Hill was a shock as an opener but turned out to be appropriate with Dave and Fozi's families in town (Hershey Park and all). Definitly stayin over next time, the ride back isn't bad but the scene was very condusive for partying and they have a campground near by...

Highlights:

Sticky Chocolate Intro>> Dancing Nancies
into Typical Situation.. was hoping for Warehouse but that was the next best thing

Played from 8:30 till 11:40... Latest Show ending I've ever been... Amazing, Money is getting played but to get Two Step and Ants in an Encore is a treat....

They need to Slow Eh Hee down its too fast...
They also need to Tighten up the Lyrics to Cornbread like that of Eh Hee, it would make the performace so much more on point!

phenomenal show. i cannot believe they played for 3 hours!! the highlight of my night was probably nancies or bartender which were both amazing, although i was hoping to see gravedigger tonight but oh well. i thought old dirt hill was a poor choice for an opener though. i actually saw dave earlier the day of the concert when i was in line to ride the new coaster called the fahrenheit (sp?) and he was in the front seat of the coaster and everyone was cheering it was great. loved daves talking about seeing them making hershey kisses and buying the can of hersheys syrup instead of the squeeze bottle it was hilarious. great day. great show.

This was almost like two sets - new half, then the old half. This concert gets a tie for first place of my favorite concerts, Hershey '03 and '06. It would have been cool to see something like Best of What's Around before Old Dirt Hill. I got to see 4 new songs tonight, and not too many repeats from Pittsburgh and Camden. Anyway, what gives this show 5 stars was the energy of the band. This was my 11th show, and I've never seen them more on fire. I will admit the start was a little slow, but they were laying the groundwork for an excellent show.

Old Dirt Hill was a laid-back song for a hot summer day.
Everyday was a great way to get the audience into the concert right away.
You Might Die Trying - Drank lots in the parking lot, first bathroom break.
Eh Hee - I like it more and more every time.
Grey Street - A newer crowd-favorite, got people goin.
Bartender - First time I've heard it, and this was definitely better than some of the recordings I've heard of it.
Cornbread - My favorite newer song by them - this is what Bayou should have been (which thank GOD they didn't play that) Note: still no songs before 2001.
Out of My Hands - Dave on piano, a rare treat, also another one I haven't heard before.
Dancing Nancies - Always a great classic, Boyd sounded great on this. I was hoping and praying for Warehouse afterwards, but no dice.
Typical Situation - Another first! and one of my favorites from UTTAD!! The breakdown section at the end was sick!
Where Are You Going - WHY do they play this all the time? I like the song, but I'm getting tired of it. Bathroom break #2.
Crash - Everyone loved it, of course.
Jimi Thing - by far the best version of this song I've ever heard, including released recordings. The horn section was especially tight in the jam. Sick version!
So Damn Lucky - Love this song, and sweet jam on the end!
Rhyme and Reason - This song has grown on me with the addition of Tim - He totally lights this song up!!
So Much To Say>ASTB>Too Much - SWEEEET way to end the set.
Encore
Money: I love this song, however, I was afraid that it was going to be followed by Money(That's What I Want), which I saw out in Pittsburgh. Tim lit this one up as well.
Two Step - Holy Crap I didn't expect this! And the speed of the song was quick! It was awesome, such insane energy! I didn't think the show could get any better.
Ants Marching - I turned to my sister and said "CROSS YOUR FINGERS FOR ANTS!!!" Right before Two Step was over, and then the snare tap rang through. There is no better way that concert could have ended.

The set list was great, but the beginning could have been a little stronger, I personally vote for You Might Die Trying and Where Are You Going to get replaced with songs like, Don't Drink the Water and Lover Lay Down. I think this show gets a close second to SPAC for the summer so far.

Overall a solid performance, Dave's wittiness bought the crowd to laughter all night.
As for the show, Typical Situation, Dancing Nancies, Two Step, You Might Die trying, Ehh he, and rhyme or reason were just on tonight. Bartender was a real nice surprise as it just faded into the roller coasters and air....Where are you going just dosnt sound right without Butch...
Guitar issues with SMTS-ASTB-Too Much was made up perfectly by Dave dancing around the stage with the guitar on his head....
The encore was awsome as everyone stated that it was perfect way to end a great show...

The Gem of the show in my mind was typical situation....
