Great show with a great opener. Brought tears to my eyes but still had high energy. The band was really on. Also dug the Lover lay Down. I was lucky enough to score a drum stick from Carter and Dave reached down and shook my hand at the end of the show. Pretty awesome night to say the least.
Peace All and RIP Roi, we miss you!!

First of all, THANKS FOR LEROI FOR EVERYTHING, you will be missed, remembered and loved forever, Nobody will replace you on that left stage, there might be somebody that will bring a new sound (hopefully) but never replace you. I promised to enjoy every single song from now on, who knows whats coming next, the future is uncertain so, i will enjoy every single moment at the Greek..
Second, i like Chulavista, it always erases the sour taste that LA shows leave in my mouth, although this year, the first night at Staples was unforgettable and very special, but i still say that most of the crowd sucks.
Last night was good, i can believe nobody has made a comment about how good SO DAMN LUCKY is, it is my favorite new song, totally in love with it right now, i saw Alpine and Staples, and i think yesterday's version was the best one so far, it seemed that Dave did not want to stop playing it, really amazing version. Bartender as always, one of my favorites, love it, Crush was great, Two Step ending is out of this world, CARTER IS THE BEST DRUMMER EVER, and DDTW as closer, first time ever as a closer in almost 40 shows, WOW, it was excellent. One last thing, SUGAR WILL baby, woo hoo...i wish Tim would have done a little bit more, a la SANTANA (best vesion ever at the GGP, and i was there to witness it), but it was good, great surprise.
So, to all you my fellow ANTS, after this week, i think we should enjoy every single second of a DMB show and life in general, no matter what, LIFE IS TOO SHORT, and it could be shorter without a notice, so let's enjoy our favorite band in a peacefully and happy way.

Very average show I though which was understandable considering what the band had been through. You knew at some point everything was going to catch up with them and they would come out flat probably sooner than later. It was cool to hear Sugar Will here especially since they (Dave) had teased it the year before. I also really enjoyed Stefan's solo into Crush. Don't know if he's played that one before but I really like it.

Very slow and mellow. The band and all the fans were in mourning. Not the best show, especially for my first time.

This was my 10th show and was a great time. The set list I thought was a bit all over the place from upbeat to mellow songs. Highlights of the night for me were So Damn Lucky and Burning Down the House. I also have never seen DDTW as the closer that was pretty cool. The only strange part of the night for me was no mention at all from the band about Leroi maybe the feelings were just to hard to convey to a large crowd that night. We all know how they must feel and how greatly he will be missed !
See ya next year !

Very emotional, touching show for sure. I cried and let it all out on Bartender. It was just so surreal and amazing. Sledgehammer was fuckin' rocking. I enjoyed Stolen Away at this show. Rashawn had a great solo on this song. Water/Wine was also really touching, nice mellow moment. CRUSH, HOly Fuck, this song is a monster this tour. I really wanted to hear this one, and I'm glad I got to. I collapsed at the end of this song from dancing so hard. If anyone saw me I was the crazy guy dancing in the aisles all night. I had the shirt that said "This One's For Roi." Sugar Will was a deep moment in the show, I knew the lyrics Dave put together on the spot were for Roi. Great tribute. Everyday was an uplifting song, it made me feel really good inside. Ants was Ants, just pure energy. Everyone was loving every second of it. Dreaming Tree was another really emotional tune in this show. Jeff Coffin had a great, great flute solo. Burning Down the House was a crowd pleaser, everyone seemed to be really into it. I fuckin' loved it myself. Lover Lay Down brought more tears for me. Dave even got emotional on this one. Coffin delivered, and it sounded so beautiful, another great tribute song to Roi. Corn Bread with Danny Barnes, WOW. I was getting down on the lawn to this one. Boogie funk. CHHEEEE. Two Step main set closer, never gets old. TiMMY MOTHER FUCKING REYNOLDS. He jammed this shit hard, and Carter had a mind busting solo. Holy shit. Don't Drink the Water closer was a very nice surprise, it worked very well for me.
All in all, AWESOME show, the band delivered, and the crowd was the best I've seen at any show. Chula is cool.

A little too mellow for my taste, out of 20 the shows I've seen this one was little bit below average. Burning Down the House was great to hear.
The will call line was ridiculous, it was the same line as tickets sales, so I missed Bartender while waiting on a ticket I had already paid for. That song probably would have been the highlight of the night...

Arrgh. The g/f had a bad day at work, and after driving down from LA, she couldn't help but pick a fight, basically telling me I was singing too much, singing badly, shouldn't dance so much... BWAH? Everybody present was doing what everybody does - it ain't church! Anyhow, I really dug the first half of the show - different songs you rarely hear, and the second half would have been great but I couldn't settle my inner buddha - after the g/f got mad and left I was feeling very low and very self conscious and had a hard time not enjoying the show... which I'm pretty sure was great... I was just funked into the ground by then. Why do people have to screw up someone else's good times if they aren't having a good time? It's called a buzz hassle... and I got a healthy serving of it... Better luck up at Berkely, I guess. Blessings to Roi, bereaved as I'm feelin'...

I thought the show was good...but honestly it came nowhere near the show that he put on there in 2004. I didn't expect it to be the same with the recent passing of Leroi but it just didn't have that "feel" to it that is normally there. Even one of my favorites that performed in Bartender just felt a little empty.....I hope that we get to hear some more of his older stuff when he returns our way.....Much love DMB....

I really liked the covers, nice change up there. I am just so tired of the drunks that have to prove to all of us that they know all the words and can scream them louder than everybody else. Sing 'em if you know 'em. Bartender was beautiful, but it always is. Just so damn sad. Things are never gonna be the same. First Butch leaves, and believe me, even if he wasn't a member in name, in my frame of reference, he was part of the band, and Roi. Jeff sounded great, but our Roi is gone. I don't know him and my heart broke. So, this show will be my last I think. I will keep my DMB FREK license plates though.

The show was just ok. No offense but it really feels like Tim's guitar just stomps all over the songs... I don't care for it so much. And I've seen and enjoyed the original D&T shows in the past. It truly feels like DMB has really merged into Dave and Friends... both out of obvious necessity and I think Dave has wanted that for a long time, which I totally respect. Playing the same tunes the same way for 17 years has GOT to wear out. Heart to Roi; such a rock up there. Remember the rumors some 10 years ago that Roi was going to leavequit the band? And all the concern over the future of the band? The thought was he appeared distant and aloof... We learned that was just Roi being Roi and wouldn't change him for the world. Now it'll be interesting to see what the future holds for the band...

After all the emotion in the shows up in LA on Tuesday and Wednesday, there was no way to beat that. We heard a lot of the same music but it had a different feel. Dave was great clowning around and even when he came out to introduce the opening band Robert Earl Keen he was hilarious. Carter and Boyd looked like they were in better spirits. It was still a tribute to Roi but without all the words. However I miss that. I loved Dave's heartfelt stories on Tuesday and Wednesday of Roi and it felt it helped the grieving process a little and that was Roi was there (at least in spirit). Any DMB concert is great but we miss you Roi you were a true gem!!!!!!

Always love the Chula Vista shows. It's just so beautiful there. The people around us in sec. 102 row r were very cool. The band sounded great again. It was a little mellow, but still had good energy on the up beat songs. Always in our hearts and memories Leroi.

My fourth show this week and probably the most solid. Dave's voice was strong, good location, meeting my new SPAC buddy for next year Bob and the night was a nice break from the emotion of Tuesday and Wednesday's shows. My friend and I talked about Phoenix but this show was the perfect end to this week.
There were some tough moments in the show though. Bartender, Lover Lay Down, and a part in the intro of Ants where it is just Carter, Dave and Jeff. I just thought to myself, "that's what the original three sounded like playing it". It was a surreal moment.
Forever in our hears, LeRoi Holloway Moore.

i really enjoy this venue to see dmb. the fans in our section 101 seemed to really be into the band tonight. band had great energy. dave was more energetic and talked to the crowd alot. tim adds so much to the band. it is just amazing to watch him rip on guitar. really going to miss leroi. jeff can play with the best but there was only one leroi. boyd was solid as always. loved the new two step with carter's and tim's solo's. other highlights were bartender, made me kind of sad at the end not hearing roi playing the solo. so damm lucky, burning down the house. dreaming tree, ant's in the middle of the set always works for me. lover lay down was nice to hear. much prefer the older ballads to the new ones. low lights. old dirt hill, stolen away on 55th, bayou. sorry dave these songs will never grow on me. bayou does have a decent jam at the end but the lyrics are just plain hokey. make these songs go away next year and bring back some old favorites like minarets, last stop, recently, say goodbye, watchtower.

I had mixed feelings going into the show; being how Leroi's passing left me with a very heavy heart, as well as most the fans there. I felt the mood may be a little somber instead of the usual party like atmosphere. and from the moment I heard the opener (Bartender), my heart fell; knowing that the clarinet would not be that of Moore's. You could tell the pain on everyones faces; especially Carter's and Rashawn's. After the first couple songs the mood picked up, With Tim Reynolds and Jeff Coffin really stepping it up. The show was so powerful and emotionally charged, easily the best show i have ever attended.

One of the weakest shows out of 17 that I've seen. By far the weakest show at Chula since 2003. Typically they always pull out something wonderful..'03 Spoon '07 Shotgun, YNK, Granny opener, Sugar will tease. There was nothing to write home about regarding this show really other than Sugar Will.
