Sooooo much better than night 1....Roi was there tonight. They had energy and power tonight. Great great show. Too many highlights to mention. Maker, Why I Am, Tripping Billies....wow wow. Recently and Jimi Thing...rocked it solid. Everyday and beachball!! Such treats... Very happy to have somewhat my ideal set list between both shows. Nicely done DMB. And how could I forget...Two Step...just like the old days.

Great seats! 4th row. Took Jenny, Ed and Sarah. Amazed at the first playing of Beach Ball! Nice venue, first time there.

Really liked the variety in the setlist. Beach Ball is a bit boring as a live song, but I can see myself loving the studio version while just chillin in my room. Rye Whiskey has cracked me up two nights in a row. It was also hilarious when they BUTCHERED SMTS right in the middle of the first verse... Recently is always a treat. Killer Two Step... what an outro. I will jam to The Maker until the day I die-- and Stay was predictable but a fun sing-a-long.

One of the best shows of the spring! Highlights include the Beach Ball debut, a great version of Jimi Thing (with the crowd singing the first verse), and Tripping Billies >> Two Step to close the main set. Plus I loved hearing Satellite, Recently, and The Maker!

Wow. Looking at the set list you'll never guess how great this show was. We were 2nd row the first night which was great but tonight was the night! Best show I've seen in years! Lots of energy and jamming. Looking forward to the summer tour.

I thought it was not the best Dave show I had ever seen, but all in all it was a great show. It seemed like the band came out a little ridged and it took them 2-3 songs before they were loose and just having fun up there. After that it was magical!
Atlanta crowd was great as always! Kudos to the 50-60 people that started the impromptu dance party in the walkway in front of the lawn during TB! Watching the ushers try to break it up was hysterical as people refused to stop dancing!

Overall, night two seemed to be more magical. Started off extremely slow, but a good mellow slow. I had seats up front the first night and then much farther back the second. The Maker was a highlight- as was recently. Not a big fan of Everyday as an opener, but it sure beats Charlotte a couple of years ago opening with A Dream So Real. I agree with the post above: Boyd seemed very sad and dark. He usually has that big smile on the entire time he's playing. But he didn't even smile until Dave asked him to play some more solo on Jimi. Then he did smile a good bit afterwards with Billies. (Perhaps he's still missing his buddy. I remember seeing him cry in one of the early Big Whiskey promo videos.) Beachball is a bit slow live, but nice to hear it for the first time. The new songs live are quite good. Instant classics. Hearing Crash two nights in a row kinda bummed me out, but it's all good!
Always an amazing show from the boys!

The set list was ok but some of my favorites were played….I believe these were the first shows after LeRoi and passed away and the energy level seemed a little down or maybe it was just me.

Awsome Venue! Before show party was cool once again awsome people we meet at shows :) The trees in the lawn were cool same with the ceiling fans extra cooling for i guess the birds. Pelham, Nashville & Alpharetta scenery pretty much defined our road trip Mountains,Barns, animals lots of trees Spring 2009

for a two night stand these shows were solid. yes, the songs being played during spring tour are somewhat predictable, but not counting new songs only 1 repeat for the two nights. plus the tailgating scene in lot A was some of the finest i have every been a part of. thanks to my new atl, bama and orlando friends can not wait to tailgate again with yall. then, as a parting gift for my 14th tour, 75th show carter threw my a drum stick. i am still in schock. thankyou hope everyone is having as much fun as me.

Not sure why Ants has Everyday listed as the rarest song from this show. Im pretty sure Beach Ball and Rye Whiskey beat out Everyday

Much better than night 1. Everyday got the crowd into it early "Hani, Hani (Honey, Honey). The guys actually made a couple of mistakes, which I think shook them loose and they ended up having a really good time. GREAT SHOW!!!!

Second night going to see Dave, got hammered the night before so this go round I was just chillin with Mary Jane. Great show, wished they would have played different songs from Big Whiskey than the 3 they played the night before but still rocked it and was still impressed with Jeff!

Awesome first listen to Beach Ball and the energy on Why I Am was amazing. Jimi Thing and Tripping Billies had classic jam sessions. The Maker made a great encore choice.

Good show -- though it felt at first like a bunch of post-2000 tunes. Random highlights for me: (1) Bizarre off-key Satellite "intro" by Dave and Tim -- Dave started playing random notes to the rhythm of Satellite while someone was fixing Carter's drum kit. Tim joined in with equally strange notes but the right rhythm. (2) Beach Ball -- a very "tight" sound. Simple, smooth horns -- never would have guessed it was their first play of it. Dave thanked the crowd afterward for "indulging them." (3) Rye Whiskey --> Big Whiskey ("Why I Am"). Not a true musical transition, but a great thematic one.
I think Tim's electric work was a bit over the top on a few songs (Maker, Sattelite, etc.)

Fantastic show!!! I was super-excited to be there to hear Beach Ball and Rye Whiskey. Dave also made a point to call out Boyd almost every song it seemed. This was my fourth show of the tour and I felt Boyd wasn't getting enough stage time at all the other shows so I was really happy to see him come out and tear it up so much!!! You're the man Boyd!!!

24th show, great performance from all. Highlights for me were So Damn Lucky (whole band), Carter Solo in Two Step, YMDT, and bridge into too much tease into trippin billies. closer choice was so so.
new songs need to be heard recorded first, the live. just my opinion

So I was very impressed with the first night, but the second night night blew me away. Two first time performances, and every song felt like it was supposed to be the encore. Jimi Thing and Two Step were the best I'd ever heard. I wish Dave had ended on something other than Stay though, but playing The Maker made the encore great anyway.

Dave came out strong with Everyday; I think he knows we like a little gospel down here in the South to start our religious experieinces. Show rocked, high energy, crowd loving it. Loved Beachball & Spaceman and jeff did great, considering the size of the shoes he;s stepped into. Carter was all smiles as always, Boyd seemed serious but the show was great! Wish'd Dave would have have talked more (love those crazy things that come outta his head) but he did get quite funky and even broke out a few new dance moves. Thanks for making Springtime in Atlanta special, Dave Matthews Band! We love ya!

Even though the Too Much Tease into Billies was cool, I was disappointed to have heard 5 of the 20 songs the night before as well. Tons of energy from the crowd, but there could have been a little better song selection.

We were 5th row for this, which helped. Atlanta crowd was awesome (better than MSG on night 1) and the band was just so into this show. Hightlights for me were the jammed out Jimi Thing with Dave's scat band intros, Recently (pretty pretty girl..)Rhyme & Reason with Joe Naylor (livin the dream!) and Two Step - really well played. I just loved the energy at the show and felt good that the band felt good enought with the crowd to give us a the first live playing of Beach Ball. You know that was impromptu. See you at Alpine!
