Sweet show! The Billies opener was incredible! The Watchtower to close it was great. I liked this show more than the n2 show by a little bit but mainly bc we had to leave during the encore of n2 to catch our flight at 12:15am haha

Good first night, some ups and dows but good show overall. The best Two Step i have ever heard. Carter is seriously like Benjamin Button, he just gets younger and younger, better and better, faster and faster. WOW!!

ok, holy crap. phenomenal N1 vegas show. billies opener blew my mind. the only way to start a show in vegas. crowd was amazing (as a west-coaster, i dont get to experience many amazing crowds other than the vegas crowd). 2 hours and 45 mins of dmb was great. it felt like almost every song was over the top. billies, sdl, die tryin, ftwii, 41, jimi, 2 step, watchtower stand out as the highlights. talked to another person and we agreed that the two step jam was probably the best one we have heard in all the years we have been following the band. loved every moment of this show! the greatest band in the world.

Maybe not the best show, maybe, out of the 22 I've seen, but damn was it cool as hell! Big time jams of Jimi, #41, and Two Step, and you having Tripping Billies open set the tone perfectly for the rest of the concert.

A note before I get into the rest of the show. At first listen, I really disliked Seven, but if you're like me, give this version a listen because I'm in LOVE with this song now. Much better performance than the original IMO and the lyrics are kick ass.

I've been dying to hear Jimi with Tim my entire life as a fan and I finally got it, so I was excited to say the least and DAMN! Did not disappoint in the least...JC's solo to begin the jam was insane, never in my life have I seen somebody treat a saxophone in such a way. Then we have Tim's solo to end a '98 style Jimi. Tim tore the living SHIT out of it and I don't even think the rest of the band could have played after what he did! He about broke his damn guitar in half and you could tell Carter couldn't fucking believe what he was doing, he basically gave him a standing ovation. Those two solos were the highlights of the show and could only be matched by...

Yup, you guessed it, CARTER on Two Step! No words can describe what he did during the 17 minutes of heaven that ended the regular set.

Rye Whiskey was pretty sweet and fitting, though Dave (by his own admission) didn't have the voice to pull this one off to it's fullest. Watchtower followed with Timmy ripping Stairway the whole way thru, making it the best I've seen and appropriately closing a fantastic show.

Oh, and this concert took place in VEGAS!

Great show, the band was high energy from the start & the improv's were new & fresh. Spaceman was great and a Stairway to Heaven jam during Watchtower was awesome. Jeff broke out dual sax's (I think during #41).

But the highlight was before the show if you were in my section. Even before Mraz took the stage a large girl was already hammered & walking to her seat. She lost her balance then toppled over a row of seats falling into the row below. (Thank god it was early & no one was there). Clearly embarrassed, she got up as quickly as she could and brushed it off and with all her concentration found the way to her seat. By the Mraz/DMB break she got the boot as she clearly puked at which point the poor people 3 seats over indicated she puked 3 times!

Best. Show. Ever. Tripping Billies to open was amazing. Crowd singing Jimi Thing verses was a top-notch experience. Watchtower with Tim's Stairway tease was the absolute coolest moment of any concert I have attended. Would've gone to Saturday's show had I won more money at the tables!

Jimi thing - sweet. LOVED 'seven', did everyone else realize this song is in 7/8 time? Sweet - groogrux king material is keeping Carter busy, and the band a challenge as well. They are really challenging themselves with the new material - gotta love that. Loved how they opened with TB. Great show!!

Still prefer outdoor venues for DMB but this was an excellent show nonetheless. Jason Mraz was fantastic opening. Great energy from one seriously drunk ass crowd...lol. It's Vegas after all {{{shrug}}}.

Note to self and other shorties like me: Floor seats at MGM are no good unless you're in the first ten rows. Get sideline seats for maximum enjoyment at this venue.

WOW! It took me awhile to digest this show. First off this is a great venue. The sound was awesome.
The boys came out to a white curtin coving the stage. (Ive seen the flamming Lips do this before)
The anticipation was mounting what will they open with. Boom curtins come down to TRIPPING BILLIES, I thought the roof was going to come off, what a way to start the show. Next was SPACEMAN not my favorite new song it will grow on me.> CORNBREAD I cant get enough of this song, and you cant beat Dave dancing. Then was SEVEN, great crowd responce
I really like this one too. SO DAMN LUCKY they sounded really tight on this one, Its seems like its not just a Dave and Friends song anymore. OUT OF MY HANDS, as soon as I saw the Piano I knew it was coming so I took a seat (the only time during the show) and enjoyed a beautiful song. YMDT hands down the best Stand up live song. FTWII way better than the radio version sounded good. #41 anyone time this one? Close to 20 mins Jeff Cofin is a mad man, hats off, no everyday outro. WHY I AM, WOW LEROY's and my favorite, I was suprised to see how much of the crowd knew the song. WAYG, to the bathroom and to get a beer, back just in time for JIMI THING, whats that Dave your voice is going, dont worry we got your back, yes the corwd sang most of the song, always a good time. RAR pretty typical. BURNING DOWN THE HOUSE, TIM make this song w/o him it wouldnt work, they kept the energy going with TWO STEP wow the best ive ever heard Carters 5 min drum solo is worth the download alone. RYE WHISKEY is the new LBV, I you havent heard it youtube it. WATCHTOWER way to send us out into the Desert night. I love these guys and I keep coming back for more. It never gets old. Peace and Love.

Show 38 for me. Really impressed with the band's energy last night. Equally impressed with the crowd. Not sure if it was the small arena, but it was the loudest crowd I have seen. Highlights: Watchtower (with Stairway to Heaven mix), Why I Am, Jeff on #41, Carter on Two Step. Only caught 2 Jason Mraz songs, but was really impressed with the sound.

Great show if you like to see them jam. Jeff's performance on 41 was awesome. Carter during Two Step was phenominal. Tim Reynolds adds such a great sound to the band. Dave's throat was hoarse by the end of the evening. Great setlist including the new songs, which were not bad, but still need some fine tuning imo.

This show kicked ass!!! They came out with a smoking Tripping Billies, which just got me super fired up! #41 at this show is now my all time favorite live DMB song from shows that I have attended, so awesome!!! The solo by Jeff was unbelievable. Some other highlights were when they let the crowd sing the first two versions of Jimi Thing, and just about any song where Tim had a solo, he was on fire the whole night. We weren't the closest but there is not a bad seat in this arena. On a side note, I was quite impressed by Jason Mraz as an opener, never really got into his music much, but I listen to him now.

Tripping Billies opener was an absolutely perfect way to start an unreal weekend. Dave was a little squeaky, even knowingly enough to let the crowd know to "pardon my squeaks." Crowd singing Jimi, and a Watchtower finish just added to the night...can't really describe much else.

Alright so on paper it might not be too pretty but I've never seen the band so tight. Highlights were billies opener, the best #41 I've seen ( jeff has the beggining down now!), the crowd singing almost ALL of jimi thing, two step's great new outro and carter solo, watchtower--the horns did the stairway interpolation, so sick, and the amazing loud crowd, even the band was impressed.

Surprise of the night: FTWII. It sounded so good and I actually can't wait to hear it again tonight.

Why I Am still rocking the crowd.

So....
Performance-wise: 10
Song-choice: 6.5

This was my 17th show and though some of the other shows I have seen in the past may look better on paper, I thought this was the best I have ever heard them. I see them regularly in Tampa each year as I am from Jacksonville and its the easiest venue for me to attend but to me they generally seem kinda flat at the Tampa shows. There are select songs that they do sound really great on and some not so great but overall I think they held that energy throughout the entire Vegas show. Was hard to go to sleep after that show despite being up for almost 24 hours!
