10th show and it was probably the best I've ever seen. There were just so many highlights I can't even name them all. Two Step might have been the greatest moment of my life. The crowd-induced Thank You was one of the coolest moments I've ever experienced, and then the band thanked us by playing Halloween. Absolutely perfect.

Here's the thing....you are watching the best touring band in the world, in the best venue in the world, playing for over three hours in front of 40,000 who are singing and dancing with every note. That should be five starts right there...oh, and btw, they play a sick Pig, Jimi Thing, Two Step, Halloween. 6 stars?!!

Wow! I am not sure I will ever experience this type of situation again. Last year at Alpine, the 2nd show he ended with "Thank You". We stayed 20 min. after the show singing..."Thank you for letting me be myself, forget it". We left and the crowd was still singing. This year for the 2nd show July 19th, the entire crowd begain singing those lyrics when they left the stage for the encore. I heard he was suppose to sing two other songs for the encore but since the entire crowd was singing "Thank You" he played it. Alpine rocks the house!

My first pavilion experience at Alpine, and it was awesome. Crowd was into the music rather than their booze down there. I'm spoiled now and never going back to the lawn. The band was ON. I think they knew they screwed up on Saturday and they came out the gates with the intention of kicking our #sses. Setlist was fantastic and energy was there. "Today We Spell Redemption D...M...B!"

I walked in thinking this was somehow going to top N2 2008. Well...unfortunately I was wrong. I am very unsure of how I felt regarding the setlist last night. On paper it was a GREAT setlist...but the way I felt about it...was just...well, I just can't explain it. But what did it for me, was the Encore. I could have done without both of them. This is the 3rd time in a ROW that I heard Thank You. (Toyota 08, Alpine N2 08, and Alpine N2 09). I hope to GOD this isn't a pattern. So people who go to Alpine - STOP ASKING FOR THEM TO PLAY THIS SONG. There are so many better ones out there that they can play. Then after - Halloween...that is my least favorite song ever...

Basically - for a very good show before the encore - I was really looking good to going out on a high note...and well - I didn't.

Started out slow and never really got going. Really excited to hear The Dreaming Tree. My wife and I have a knack for going to the wrong night of the two nighters. I've been to 35 shows and this was among my least favorite. Dave has said in the past that this is one of their favorite venues to play but, man that set list was lame. 1st 3 songs were sleepers, then he played Pig, Shake Me, You Never Know and then Crash. So really the first 7 songs took the crowd right out of it. Lets face it, the only good thing about Pig and YNK is the chorus, the rest of both of those songs are pretty flat. Strangely enough, the highlight of the whole show was Funny the Way It Is. Rousing, to say the least. Strong 41 as usual. Over all though, probably one of the worst setlists i've heard in 35 tries. Very disappointing. Gonna see them again at Tinley Park. Hoping like hell for a better setlist.

This show was perfect. The setlist will never be perfect, because they'll never play every song you want to hear...but the way they played the songs last night was perfect. Unbelievable jams, unbelievable energy. All was right with the world last night at Alpine. Carter motherfuckin' Beauford on the drums....Jeff Coffin was heavily featured and didn't disappoint. Dave was nuts, Timmy was puttin' it down. I think I said "wow" about 200 times last night. Was that real, or was I dreaming....

Any doubts about the love dmb has for Alpine after night one completly were shot down after night two. Over 3 hours with some of their best songs. Pig and Halloween in the same set, unreal. Plus an awesome Two Step and Jimi Thing. I don't care what anyone says, THANK YOU again was awesome. Didn't compare to the special half hour performance by the crowd last year, but it did bring back great memories and shows how much the band does love alpine!

This was an amazing show! I thought N2 2008 was incredible but this blew it out! N1 was not as bad as people say...it did seem to fly by, but it was many peoples first show with the new tunes so the people I was with enjoyed it. I can see as a die hard that it could have disappointed. The sheer energey on N2 from the crowd and the band was unlike anything I have seen in my 40+ shows!

Nice recovery over N1. New songs were strong and the show built with an unbelievable 2nd half. 41, Jimi and 2step were some of the strongest versions I have ever seen. Time Bomb fit right in. It was cool to see the band answer the crowd with Thank You but there were better choices that would have made it an all time personal best concert. Halloween was great but not nearly as big as last year's version coming out of the Anyone Seen the Bridge > Too Much Tease. Dave and Carter were fun to watch and Jeff is amazing. 2 nights at Alpine is always special.

Slow start, annoying young crowd around me. I guess that's what I get for getting rid of my warehouse membership, and being a grumpy old man (ripe age of 31)! I must say though, once it picked up, UNBELIEVABLE. Carter was epic on Two Step, Jeff on #41. My first real Dave scatting experience on Jimi, and put the guitar down to dance during Thank You, are you kidding me?? Didn't even have tix for tonight, but after such a disappointment last night, as soon as it ended looked at my sister and said "we have to go tomorrow". Truly special night. First Proudest Monkey opener in 14 years. Dreaming Tree, Pig, #41, Jimi Thing (with Sexy MF outro), Two Step, and Halloween all in one set!. 3 1/2 hours and left having the crowd wanting more! The band seemed on all night. Last night, it seemed they were just off, jet lag, going through the motions..... Extended jams featuring each performer was great! Of course, Last Stop would have been the icing on the cake, but that will give me a reason to come back. The SPAC v Alpine debate lives on with my vote going with Alpine!

Best mellow show I've seen, and the encore was awesome! Last year, they closed the encore with "Thank You (for lettin me be mice elf agin)" and the crowd stuck around for over a half hour after the band walked off stage, singing the chorus. It was magical, to say the least =) Before the encore this year, our unbeatable Alpine crowd started singing "Thank You" again, and the band walked out onstage and joined us in the song. So cool!!! The set list said that the encore was supposed to be DDTW then Tripping Billies into Watchtower, but they obviously needed a show stopper to get the crowd to stop singing Thank You... so they played Halloween! It was an amazing show by all rights, but the encore was the best I've ever seen in 20 DMB shows.

After the N1 setlist, this show looks like Gold. As a stand-alone show however, I think this show was just really good - not great. Opening with Proudest Monkey was fantastic and the show continued to get better. There were no real "downer" songs, and Dave even provided an excuse to the fans for repeating Funny (a kid had requested it earlier in the day). It's hard to pick a song highlights, but it's easy to pick a show highlight. Once the encore started, fans in the lawn behind 103/203 began singing Thank You. Eventually, it made its way across the venue and when the band came out they picked right up with the crowd and played the song. Of course, there could have been much better a song to encourage the band to play. But the energy that was flowing between the fans and the band at that point was some of the best I've seen at a show. A great weekend at Alpine all around; just wish we had gotten one or two more rarities.

My 9th show at Alpine and 21st overall. Wow - the best one yet! N1 doesn't even exist to me after this one.

I've heard quite a few Two Step's, this one takes the cake. Carter and the crowd basically jamming back and forth - awesome. Dave was very lively and just plain nutty all night.

First time sitting front row (aisle seat in 102) - I got to see the boys like never before. Every other show it's been the band and the crowd, with me being on the crowd side. Tonight, for the first time, I felt like I was on the band side. All the people behind me didn't matter - it was just the music.

Highlights were You Never Know, Dreaming Tree, Pig, #41, Two Step and of course, Halloween. Got my first Carter stick as well (handed to me by the man) and it was used during Halloween, about ready to crack in half! None of those newbies out of the box!

Thanks to the the band, the fans down low, Alpine security for being awesome and allowing photos all night long, and Kyle (security guard) for letting me use his camera to take over a 100 amazing photos! I might take some time off from this addiction - how could I top tonight?

Opening was slow, but the ending made up for it. Crash killed what little energy had built up over the first songs. OOMH was not needed either. Then came 41, Jimi, and Two Step which were absolutely ammazing!! Is Carter human?? WOW! Not a fan of Thank You, and I really hope that it does not become something he plays at Alpine every year. It somewhat killed the great run for me, but I must say, Dave dancing to it was nuts!! Then Halloween made up for Thank You and made everything alright again.

Show number 19 for me...and while I'm not into the band like i used to be, this was one of, if not THE, best set lists i've ever seen. Energy was solid, crowd was great and I finally got to knock two songs i've been waiting 10 years to hear off my list: Halloween and Dreaming Tree.

Well done DMB, you still manage to please everyone at the same time.

What a crazy show. To play Proudest Monkey, Satellite, OOMH, and Grave Digger and still somehow pull off an amazing show is an unbelievable feat. It was a treat hearing Dreaming Tree, You Never Know, and Pig. If you were basing it on time from the Sat show, it should have ended with 41, but that's just when this show took off and kept going, AND going... Thanks to those who were chanting for Thank You as I got to beat the rush out of the parking lot. That song sucks.

My 19th Alpine show. This would've been the best show I've seen at Alpine since the BTCS years, except for the two setlist changes (adding Funny the Way it Is, and changing the encore to Thank You). It will always bother me, that we didn't get Watchtower (which would've been perfect). Other than that, this was truly a concert to be reckoned with. I didn't think Night 1 was anything to complain about either!

The Thank-You singing...basically forced the band to play it. On one hand it's cool interaction w/the band, but I personally would've preferred other songs.

Ultimately, it was another AWESOME weekend at Alpine, and the last two years have had energy just like back in the "OLD" days!! Keepin' the faith!

Every time I come to this place I feel like I should move here. Alpine has things going on that nowhere else can touch. I'm not talking about the great sound or the bad ass crowd. I'm talking about the land around the venue. The little towns, the big willow trees, the old school farms. It breeds wholesome folks with good attitudes. The crowd feeds the band down here. All venues have there highs and lows, but alpine sets the bar. Off to 10k Holmes.........

Wheeling out the piano for out of my hands got the same reaction as the baritone guitar last night. Thank You was surpirsingly good: the crowd was singing it as the band walked out on stage, so they busted right into it with the crowd.

Much, much better than Saturday. My 31st show, and probably top five I've been to (and I was at the Gorge 9/8/02 and Red Rocks 9/11/05). There were three songs in a row I was convinced were the closer, and it's the first time I've seen the audience dictate what the encore opener was -- the crowd was *singing* "Thank you for letting me be myself again" during the encore break, and the band came out and did it. Awesome show.

Awesome show! I have never had so much fun at a Dave show regardless if the encore might not have been stellar. The crowd chanted "thank you fellintin me be my self again" during the encore break and of course Dave decided to play it. The whole experience was really really cool and loved it! One of my buddies at the show had a girl come up with the set list on a piece of paper and they were supposed to end with Dont Drink, tripping and then watchtower which could have made this a setlist for the ages. Oh well it was still an amazing show and Dave does it again at Alpine!!

Thought this show started out slow until the end of the second set. Then they took off! It looked like they wanted to let loose all night but waited to the end then really rocked! Loved the crowd reminding the band of the send off last year. The original planned on core would have been great DDTW, TB, Watchtower, but I really like how the on core went down and I think the band appreciated it too! Hell they played 3 1/2 hour until 11:40 pm!!! Always good times at Alpine!!! Show # 25

A much, MUCH better show from the night before. And to come out with a list of what songs you're gonna play for an encore, but then actually listen to the crowd and give the fans what they want. Absolutely incredible. The setlist was nearly perfect (I could've done without Crash) and they hit so many favorites. They jammed out on #41 and Jimi Thing, and Jeff Coffin was on fire! At one point he played 2 saxophones at the same time during Jimi. This show was absolutely amazing, and the encore took it up another notch. The crowd started singing Thank You and the band joined in, then they went straight into Halloween. It took me 22 shows to see Halloween, but it was worth the wait. Overall awesome night... best DMB show I've ever seen!

wow...what can i say. Usually I'm a little nervous when the band comes out with a new album because the crowd response during the new songs can be a little dull, but not this year. The new stuff rocks live. We saw the birth of a new tradition at Alpine this year with the chanting of "Thank You For Letting Me Be Your Friend...Again" during the encore, which the band then proceeded to play. Also the band singing "Sexy Mother Fucker Shakin That Ass, Shakin That Ass" was hilarious. Great show.

Being from Atlanta and never been to Alpine, this was the best Dave show, out of the 4 I have been to. The set list was the best, You Never Know?! Did not see that one coming! So glad they played Pig, I love that song. I have never had the experience to hear the house chant Thank You and control the encore like that! How cool! And Halloween?!! WOW! I heard people down in the pit chant Halloween for like the entire show after every song and they did it, very cool! I thought they wouldn't do it but they did it… again! Amazing show for me and an amazing night! Can't get enough of DMB! I plan to go every year, if I can, to Alpine because you just don't get treats like that every time in Atlanta!

It's not easy to say, but I think this was the best DMB show I've ever been to. Jimi Thing was amazing. Two Step was long (in a good way) and featured an incredible solo by Carter and was the best live version I've heard. Encore was great. The crowd started singing Thank You as the band walked back on stage, so Dave obliged. To end on Halloween seemed to match the crowd's energy, it was incredible.

Wow Idid not know about a 4 or a 5 but this was onr of the best I have seen tons of energy I mean when they could careless of the time and just keep rockin for over 3 1/2 hours you know your in for a treat and to get you never know u kiddinng me WOW!!! And probably the best 2 step I have heard live myself in a long time if ever. A very nice 19 minute #41 dont usually get that much from that song pretty awesome and what can I say Dave never listens to the crown so for him to respond to the chants of THANK TOU which I have heard alot would not have minded what was orignally in store but pretty neat dave listened and take it into halloween pretty amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will say about 50% of the show was your typical sunday show at Alpine but the other 50 % was awesome and really made up for it. And the last 25% of the show was just AMAZING!!!! Still a little updet on the shitty reviews from the saturday show maybe because I live 15 minuites away I take it for granted but it was not that bad was not the best but it was a well rounded show good flow Smooth Rider is a great song not sure how you can say you dont enjoy it. And the show was not short most at alpine are little over 2 and a half hours like N1 2008 that was loved as on of the best was about 2 3/4 sonot that big a deal just spoiled with the long N2 2009. I know alot of people have seen more shows than me but after seeing 37 you pick up on a few things and Im sorry the highschoolers who like to go back to school say they got so drunk probably not remembering if they even got CRASH or WAYG and stereotype themselves as hippies talk to me in another 12-14 years kids!!!!
