Sad to say it, but I actually can't remember ever being disappointed with a DMB show before this one. I think I must have just been tired from flying in from Boston. Needless to say, the band made up for it in a BIG way the following night...

surprised with the opener, but all-in-all it was a good show. danny barnes didn't really play during DT. just plucked a couple of strings. the 2 songs (the road, caveman) i believe are danny barnes songs that will be on the his upcoming album.

This show was definitely the best of the three this weekend. Dave was as talkative as I have seen him. The amazing setlist included many of the songs I had been hoping to hear for a long time. Special thanks to James who sat behind my wife and I. You and your friends made the show so enjoyable. My biggest complaint with this venue every year is the rude and disrespectful fans. You made the night's vibe so awesome with your hilarious enthusiasm and laid back attitude. Thanks for giving me a renewed perspective. Finally, a polite crowd at the Gorge!

Proudest Monkey > Satellite opener. This show felt like the longest of the whole weekend. The band felt loose, the setlist was on fire, and it was a great way to kick off the weekend. Jimi Thing main set closer was great too.

2nd weekend at the gorge. a lady ended up giving us 26th row seats for this show out of the blue. so we went from the lawn to the great seats and i thought it would be a great idea to take some shrooms at this time to enhance the experience, tripped hard that night. really confused the whole time! great time though

Great show, had a great place on the lower terraces of the hill with about 50 people in our group. I loved hearing the new album songs and Danny Barnes was awesome.

Great energy from the band tonight. Dave's voice sounded fine during Satellite and Seven. By the time Squirm came up his voice was clearly straining. Danny Barnes was an excellent and having him spell Dave on vocals for a couple of songs helped Dave get through the night. The band was in fine form this evening wit nice solos from Tim, Jeff and Boyd at various times throughout the night.

5th year for me, the crew gets bigger and more crazy each year: Kate, Whitni & Jared (married-- dave told) Adam, Allie, Doug & Shanell, Bryce & chic. The weather was crazy this year BUT rain or shine... dave is SO worth anything-- even hail!

Had I been a rock music critic, my headline would have read "Dave saves his voice." DMB eased into a set of mellower songs - led by the 1-2 punch of Proudest Monkey and Satellite - played for an educated Gorge crowd that loved every minute of new songs like Shake Me Like a Monkey and You and Me. In fact, even two Danny Barnes covers seemed like a good idea. They were catchy enough and it provided Dave a chance to rest his vocal chords which were the topic of conversation all day at the campsite. The Song that Jane Likes was a treat to fans and Jimi Thing closed out a really nice main set. Night one seemed like a beautiful start to a beautiful weekend...

LITHOG was the best one I've heard all year. Dreaming Tree was sick! Dave's voice was shot during the screams in Squirm. The band helped with lots of backup singing and Danny Barnes sang 2 songs.

Show was ok, above average. Dreaming tree was the highlight of this show, always a nice treat to hear that song! STJL was also a good one to bring back. Overall, the band never got into a groove like they usually do. The whole show felt like song after song and never came together in a nice fit. Hard to describe, but when you've been to 40+ concerts, you know what I'm talking about. I think they were taking it easy in efforts to save Dave's voice, since he's sick and can't sing. Overall, good songs, decent setlist, but needed more energy and cohesiveness. Also, I love Danny Barnes, but as a special guest -- not to sing his own songs. That was a buzzkill.
