This is probably the closest your're going to get to the earliest days again...single handedly ruined DMB for me in a good way. We sat at the second table from the stage, so maybe 10 feet from Dave as he made an introductory speech, then came out a few times, and finally the show. In between the eight courses and wine pairings, John Besh came out with the winemaker and told little vignetts about the food or wine...inclusive of stories of how he and Dave created the menu and added to the ingredients, for example by using food from Dave's farm. I am listening to the recording and here's my review -

Stay or Leave - Dave talked for some time and apologized for the show starting later than scheduled, but just like he hoped we were doing, he said that he was really loving the wine...sick way to start off the set, nothing disappointing at all...eventually turned into a sing-along "REMEMBER WE USED TO DANCE..."
Bartender - never really liked this song, and personally, was the only downer in the set, but it was still pretty damn awesome.
So Damn Lucky - Amazing, again with 100 people singing along over cheesecake, "ROUND, ROUND, ROUND."
Oh - can't say anything about the song other than Dave was pretty much on fire. Oh - pun intended - people were in tears at times.
Crush - Dave talked about enjoying ourselves and enjoying our cheese plates...also, about how Dave wished that Jimmy Fallon were there because he does a better Dave than Dave himself...I have to say that this was my favorite of all the songs...again with the sing-along...the LOUDNESS cancelled out my recording at times due to everyone singing in unison..."DRINK SOME WINE 'TILL WE GET DRUNK." Dave let us finish parts of the song.
Alligator Pie - great vignette about Dave's family being there and about how he wrote the song for Stella. Stellar performance.
Sister - at this point all a bonus...we were supposed to only get five songs...Dave told a vignette about playing styles and using his middle finger...some dude screamed out "Dreaming Tree" and Dave was like "Yeah Right" which was pretty funny...a very special and intimate rendition.
You And Me - story behind the writing and recording of the song...apparently it was written on his iPhone. Really good selection, which could have been anything as Dave was reading off a sheet and could have been open to suggestions...you could tell that Dave and the crowd were really having a great time with this one though..."YEAH, YEAH."
E: Lying In The Hands Of God - Again with the bonus as were were thrilled to see Dave come back out of the private dining room...you could just tell that this was unplanned and that he came back solely because it was such a good time...he came back and said that we must have been thinking, damn it's this guy again...Dave mentioned that he never played the song solo before and went right into it...pretty special version.
E: I'll Back You Up - Dave mentioned that he was really enjoying himself and that he hadn't played this song in a while...everyone was goo goo gaga as he strummed the first few cords...
