Awesome show, but many of the louder fans near where I was were quite upset Dave teased Last Stop and didn't follow it up in an encore, and I can't say I blame them.

Liking the Fonz's work on the intro of Watchtower, but the song (and encore in general) was so short, it seemed like the band were making a mad dash outta there.

Other than that, a quality show with mostly under-the-radar songs and not too many big classic DMB hits. SPAC has never been a venue for an all-hits show though, and the setlist this time around still reflects that. Still was no 2008 SPAC N2 though. Coulda used tighter flow, more like 08 or 09, and DEFINITELY Last Stop.

Ah well, maybe I'm spoiled. 2012, here we come...

The show was great, the guys were on fire! The Las Stop tease hurt, I defiantly thought they'd play it for an encore. I don't like Squirm and was a little disappointed to hear that as an opener. I love Hello Again and was so happy to hear it! I didn't go to N1, but i thought N1 had a better setlist. Also this was my first time at SPAC, it was so cool being in the woods. I kept asking my friend where are we? I was a little mad about the "beer garden," but what can you do after all the accidents? I also thought there wouldn't be any douche-bags on the lawn because it's spac, i was wrong. I'd defiantly come back to spac as long as I have seats.

Dave mistook the Last Stop chants for Can't Stop chants...And boy, did he deliver!!!!

Can't Stop, spacebread, and watchtower could have been subbed out for anything else and this show would have been epic. However, Cry Freedom alone was worth the 5 hour drive from Buffalo. One of the most beautiful performances out of my 15 shows, and the crowd actually shut the fuck up and let the man quietly sing this one.

Decent show, except for the douche-bag climbing the beam supporting the balcony walkway. If you were anywhere on the right half of the lawn I'm sure you saw him. Watching him fall to an untimely death would have added some excitement to an otherwise unnecessarily long 41.

Also, the band has finally started to extend the intro to Timebomb. I had a fleeting hope that they would skip the rest of the song and segue into something sweet, but it's good to see they are tinkering with the BW songs on the road. All in all, a solid show. Hard to top the last couple years, but goddamn, that cry freedom was beautiful.

Good show . . . After the last 3 years at SPAC I think that I expect too much from the band before the show even starts. I really enjoyed Cry Freedom and Time Bomb->Two Step. I can't help but feel cheated by the encore, and no Last Stop was like a giant F U. I really thought there was more to come after Watchtower. I think the band is really taking the "Keep 'em wanting more" approach to this year's encores.

Didn't know what to expect after N1..last time I will do lawn for a DMB concert..seats were a lot more enjoyable N1. Too many young drunk kids who can't handle their alcohol. I could care less if people drink because I do so myself but its pretty patheic when people are falling down drunk in the lawn..The show itself was great..seemed a lot more mellow for N2..started off slow but glad I got to here hello again..ddtw and tripping billies got the crowd going..cry freedom sounded fantastic considering they haven't played it in years. Surprised to see a lot of unreleased stuff (idea of you, granny, can't stop, cornbread ..again) but it gave the set list a good mix..#41 was sick but the highlight was probably time bomb>two step..that was worth he crappy lawn ticket..carter had some sick solos. Even though this may not have been "epic" still a great show with some nice surprises..that's why I love this band. They don't forget about the songs that made them what they are today.

First off, we need to just rename this the "Song Liberation Tour". Cry Freedom and Some Devil! (although it isn't counting it on the Almanac). Strange setlist, but they most of them seem to have been all over the place so far this year. Less BW than I expected (not complaining). I had high expectations as always so I left a bit disappointed that we didn't get JTR or SU&D, but it was still pretty good. Really thought Last Stop was going to happen. Jeff was on fire tonight, especially during LITHOG. Loved Time Bomb > Two Step. Cornbread sounded a little different but really good. Overall highlights were Tripping Billies, DDTW, Hello Again, and Granny. Lowlight was the encore. I love Some Devil, and it was nice to hear after not getting it at the D&T show in DC. Watchtower was short and kinda weak. After hearing the Stairway interpolation last year, the song isn't as good without it! Plus, those two songs were on completely opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of energy, especially following the killer Time Bomb > Two Step to end the set. The venue is great if you're only talking about the seats/lawn. The rest of it (exiting, food, beer, bathrooms, etc.) blows. I didn't have any issues tailgating. Cops came by and didn't say anything. As long as you weren't an idiot you were fine.

Good show! Diggin Squirm opening. Hello Again is a beast of song now that its come back this year. Still Water > DDTW thru #41 was a ridiculous stretch... Cry Freedom was an especially nice treat after 5 long years, and they tweaked Can't Stop quite a bit and it was a blast. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't dissapointed somewhat, in that the expectations were set so ridiculously high after the past couple years SPAC N2's, that there was little hope of reaching them (unless we got some Good Good Time and Last Stop... at least for me). That said, if that is the 'downside' of SPAC... I wish all venues had the same problem :)

See you in 2012, SPAC!

The show was excellent, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. No Last Stop was a little disappointing, I think everyone thought he would play it after All Along the Watchtower, especially since he teased it hard after Granny. But that's the only complaint that anyone could make. Cry Freedom was worth the price of admission alone...but I also got my first Stay or Leave, Hello Again, and Can't Stop. Throw in a great midset Tripping Billies, a beautiful #41, and an intense Time Bomb-->Two Step, and it was simply a fantastic show. Can't wait until 2012!

again. Can't Stop actually seems like a song now.
Tripping Billies, Time Bomb and Two Step were big highlights. The encore seemed very short like they were in a hurry to leave. SPAC is the best
venue in the east to see the DMB. Camden is one of the worst anywhere. Period.

one of the best mid set lists ive seen ever..starting witrh idea of you thru the last stop tease. but seriously dave....STOPPING PLAYING CORNBREAD ALREADY. what the fuck, ive been to the last 3 shows and got it everytime, and all 8 shows i went to last year. and stop closing with watchtower. its played out. this show could have been epic if he didnt play cornbread and closed with pretty much anything else. if i hear either one of those 2 songs in deer creek, im going to lose my fucking mind. oh yeah, and saratoga is getting rediculous with how much of a pain in the ass it is to get fucked up before and during the show. pigs took our beer in the lot then in the stupid beer garden, it took me 45 minutes to get a beer. kids really gotta stop dying there so they let us party more.

Something like rapunzel would have brought the house down and sent everyone home happy.

As with all SPAC N2 shows, the expectations for this one were high. They came out firing with Squirm, Stay or Leave, Hello Again, and Idea of You followed by DDTW to open the show. No real duds beside Spaceman>Cornbread and an oddly placed Needle and The Damage Done. Unfortunately everyone was expecting Last Stop and they didn't comply, so it was a bit disappointing. Finally, I had a really AWFUL time regarding SPAC security. Lost about $50 worth of Beer ( I was 25 at the time) and Pot (everyone around me was smoking as usual). Relax guys, it's a DMB concert

Really really pleased with with most of the song selection. Jeff really put on a show, cry freedom = its been a while very happy to have it back, thank you was nice and slow, crazy energy on two step! And I loved the dave comments about the police officer smoking weed and taking everyone's beer. Only thing that knocks this down a star was the encore. I felt like Dave was really trying to keep us guessing with what to hear, and he did a great job at that until the encore! ALL IN ALL good show, if you didn't like it than you may just be a dmb snob or you missed friday night, the shows paired well with each other! Last stop-2012

Overall a fun show with a lot of energy. Everything from Cry Freedom through 41 was awesome, and I really enjoyed the Time Bomb > Two Step w/ Time Bomb opening lyrics. I will however say that this is the absolute last time I get lawn tickets for this venue. Not only was it WAY too crowded, but the amount of meat heads and bros out there is unbearable. People trying to crowd surf during Billies, and chanting '41' for an entire verse of .....41. I couldn't even hear the Last Stop tease because so many people around me were talking.

I'm with everyone else on the encore. I have never left a DMB show, especially at SPAC, this dissapointed. Really expected something special. Overall....solid show

There was no way this show could ever live up to the hype, but it was a great show nonetheless. Great to hear Cry Freedom, and Tripping Billies mid-set was a nice surprise. My only issue (besides for Can't Stop) was the amount of repeats from last year N2. Granny, Time Bomb, Two Step and Watchtower are all great songs, but it felt a little too familiar.

I absolutely love seeing this band play at this venue! LOVE IT!! Not only is the sound great and the atmosphere amazing, but the crowd is just so attentive and excited that it seems they not only feed off the band's energy but their own as well, accounting for non-stop fun the whole night. Hello Again is still the powerhouse I remembered it to be 4 years ago and Can't stop sounds even better through another change in structure, hope to hear that again. Billies and Two Step had the place ready to explode, this place was electric tonight! Cry Freedom returning put huge smile on my face wonderful song great moment lots of lighters highlite of the night. Last Stop a'cappella tease was interesting and #41..man they really nailed it on 41 tonight. Had goosebumps listening to how smooth this jazz fusion-esque tune rolled for nearly 20 minutes. Boyd seems to be back with so much energy again. He was all over the stage this whole weekend. Carter had a night on percussion and horn section just gets better and better. Tim Reynolds really got out there a little more with his solo's this weekend which is great to see. The Band really just jammed at times and did it well. Wow, what a weekend, I can't wait for next show. See you all in Camden.

I really tried to give DMB and Spac the respected benefit of the doubt.. but, honestly I was really disappointed. The song choices weren't that bad. I really loved 50% of the songs, but the other 50% were just not that good. The biggest problem was the flow. The Squirm, SOL, Hello Again, LITHOG run was pretty good to open but then IOY kinda killed the mood. No one around me knew it and it kinda took the crowd out of it. Then the best part of the show was the run of Don't Drink, Cry Freedom (The highlight of the show), and Tripping Billies. But the band decided to ruin that momentum with Can't Stop (i don't understand this return at all), Granny, #41 was another great build-up but #41 dragged on a bit and then spacebread, needle and the damage done, and time bomb really killed the whole mood. Two Step was great but I knew it was coming and it was hard to get into at that point. Some Devil was a nice surprise but Watchtower is just too predictable. This was the first Spac show I left disappointed. 08, 09 were great but this was a major let down.

Honestly torn about this show. Wish I was at N1 instead, overall, but I did have a good time. In one sense, not having any clue what song was coming next was really cool as longtime fan. Can't Stop, Idea of You, and Cry Freedom, almost in a row? Very random. Tripping Billies was easily the highlight for me, as Boyd was on fire. Great solo and great energy. Biggest complaint was the lack of Busted Stuff songs but they all showed up N1. Best way to some it up: fun show but pales compared to all other SPAC shows the last few years.

After last year's stellar N2, this one was a let down. It's not just my opinion, you could feel the muted energy of the crowd as we were letting out. It was like we just saw the home team lose. The number and placement of unreleased and cover songs (more than a third of the set) screwed with the energy. The crowd was ready to pop before the show started, and Squirm was just not enough to keep them going. SOL full band was nice. Idea of You was useless. Maybe the biggest flub of the night was following up Billies, which everybody went nuts for, with Can't Stop. Total momentum killer. Two Step to close the set and AATW to end the night was the same as last year, so that was also a let-down (notes are wrong, there was no Stairway interpolation, that was last year). But the band was really tight, the crowd was great, and it didn't rain this time. Hope that by the time they come around to Bethel Woods they've got a better handle on the set list.
