I love Zac Brown Band as an opener and Zac and Dave played Aint it Funny How Time Slips Away. Other than that the show was weak! SO damn hot too. This was my first stadium show and i did not really care for it. If i hadnt taken my girlfriend i definitely would have done GA Standing instead!

No rarities but some nice classics, fun tunes and a ton of energy. The average goer walked away having a great time. Ants might be disappointed. I had fun.

great great time. this was my 9th and i have it in upper half, maybe top 2 or 3. lots of good jams. Hands of God improvement from last is crazy, a phenomenal song. two step killed, as did the cornbread to ants encore. also immensly enjoyed Jimi Thing and SO Damn Lucky. thought the set had good rhythm to it overall--fast and loud songs then a quiet slow one to break it up....then speed up again.

Great show. Big Eyed Fish into PNP/Rapunzel was a great way to start off the show. Two Step closer was the best Two Step I've heard to date. Cornbread into Ants Marching encore was amazing. Great energy, great show.

It was pretty cool to see 3 different shows in a row at the 3 different venues, however, Nationals Park was the hottest show I have ever been to, SOO HOTT! Set list wasn't anything special, but it was cool to see Zac Brown join Dave for "Funny How Time Slips Away." I greatly enjoyed having Zac Brown as an opener for those few shows that Summer. Today is June 18, 2012, I actually just saw DMB in Britow VA at Jiffy Lube Live on June 16, 2012. I ended up having to trade my poster from this Nationals Park show in order for me to get this guy to have sold me a pair of PIT tickets for the Bristow show 2 days ago. That Nationals Park poster was one of my favorites :-(

Overall a solid set for this tour! Nothing crazy, but nothing terrible. The set was well balanced with the Big Eyed Fish into Rapunzel opener and the insane Two Step closer...a few slow ones and some fast ones mixed in between! My highlight of the night was Dave and Zac Brown singing Funny How Time Slips Away. They really sounded great together! Solid show with great energy despite the extreme heat!

19th show. Disappointed with setlist, slow pace of many selected songs and sloppy jams except Two Step and DDTW. First show since Leroi passed; they miss him. I hate to be a downer here, because I deeply appreciate the bands music over all their years, and their positive vibes all the time, but something just was not right.

Hmmm Nationals Park was the place and Dave Matthews Band graced the stage for the second show to ever be played at the venue. The modern aged baseball park did appear quite odd, nearly filled to capacity, with bunches of people in a summer swelter sweat box of unrelenting, oppressive heat that draped the DC area all day. I cannot stress enough how hot this concert was from beginning to end.
Walked in towards the end of Zac Brown Band to a cover of Rage’s killing in the name, didn’t phish just cover this on the 4th? Hmmm think so,,,, stay original…. anyway on to the show….
BIG EYED FISH… great opener, dreary and deep….a great song to settle into
PNP>RAPUNZEL…I liked the transition here, nice pick-up instead of the bartender route.
SEVEN…Reynolds crushes this song, jagged guitar
LYING IN THE HANDS…Possibly the highlight of the night, love how the band continues to evolve this song, Coffin nails a musical masterpiece to end it.
STIILL/DDTW… Loved the Stillwater, not sure Dave should be advising folks not to hydrate.
ONE SWEET WORLD…liked the spot here instead of the traditional opener, standard version…swim naked outro
PROUDEST/SATELLITTE…Why drop the monkey? Beer brake.
STAY OR LEAVE…Nice spot, What Day is IT?
YMDT… seemed a bit choppy here; this version probably ranks in the lower halves on what the band is capable off with this song.
FUNNY HOW TIME…Great surprise and another highlight of the evening, interesting graves tease, but such a beautiful song to bust here.
FUNNY THE WAY… 2nd half of the funny sandwich continues
BREAK FOR IT… Really liked this tune even though it seemed to drag towards the end, can’t wait for another listen.
JIMI THING…Must admit, Jimi’s over the last 4 tours in my opinion have become stale and drawn out and not even close to the epic 2004 versions, however they nailed it tonight, this version was tight and flowed perfectly…..shakin that ass…..
SHAKE ME…good pick-up, energy keeper
SO DAMN LUCKY…I like the Some Devil songs, however this really didn’t work in the spot tonight, 11 minutes of SDL is too long here, although the ditch and Dreamgirl teases kept it interesting
YOU & ME…it was fun; I’ll leave it at that.
TWO STEP… Thank-you DMB, instant energy pill here with a nice time bomb intro and a Two Step that knocked the ball right outta the park, band is running full throttle here, carter crushes the drum solo and turns the park into a heat infused trance dance, another big devastating two step to end the set.
E
SISTER: Beautiful version, people were still catching their breath.
CORNBREAD: Nice way to showcase this tune, I liked the spot here.
ANTS: Boyd is still allowed to tear the place up, where was he all night?

Great Show! This was my first time seeing the band with Coffin and Reynolds on the stage too, and I thought they added a lot to the music, and probably could have been featured more. I enjoyed the set-list, a good mix of old and new, even a few I was not familiar with at all. This was also my first show at a baseball park, which was better than expected. Even my nosebleed seats gave me a great unobstructed view of the stage, and the sound filled the whole place.

I thought it was a tight show. With in first 5 to 6 row from right between Dave and Boyd and it was just "damn" hot! But killer opener Big Eyed Fish, and jamming Two Step. Encores were okay. Good Jimi Thing, too. Zack played very well in my opinion and would love to see them and Dave together again.

I'm sure the guys did great, but my experience . . . sucked, and partly my own fault. Bought tkts on line 2-days before (we weren't expecting to be in DC); temperature and humidity were OPPRESSIVE, and I drank too much beer; seats sucked balls, and sound up in Mt Everest seats sucked, as did the punk teenagers in front of us. Poor me--haha

Best and worst. My only show this year, went there because they skipped Raleigh this year. It was a great set list, a super duper bonus that Zac Brown Band opened. The crowd was full of drunk, high, and stupid jackasses. God forbid anyone keep a full 14 inches between them and the person in front of them-dozens of people thought that meant they should come and stand in that space and get within 4 inches of my nose. Unbelievable rude, drunk and inconsiderate people. Blech. it was the worst heat I have ever experienced, magnified by the body heat of thousands of people pressed up against each other and dancing their asses off. HOWEVER - would totally do it again. Love Dave and prefer him at a pavillion. The stadium was pure hell. The new phrase? "It was hot as Dave out there" we will forever remember that night as the most hellish heat we can remember. loved the setlist, i love sister. i could never get enough cornbread.

I've been to over 100 shows and really thought they'd light it up with this being a hometown (almost) stadium show prior to going on a two year break. Boy was I wrong.

The set list really seemed to drag and Boyd was absent until the end of the show. The crowd was so jones'n for a good number that you could hear the collective let down when the LIOG tease faded away during Ain't It Funny (which I'll admit was a VERY NICE surprise to hear).

While it was nice to get a stadium Two Step and Ants, when the hell are they gonna break out a #41, Tripping Billies or Dancing into Warehouse in one of these one night stadium settings?

The GA seating also have got to go. That's great that it gives the band a good vibe. So does my $75 dollars for my defined "space". Until the ruder of these younger DMB fans learn some etiquette, perhaps the band could put the needs of the audience before their own.

Sorry to be so negative. I'm usually a glass half-full type of person, but this time I gotta call it like I see it.

I'll take the Charlotte show, even with it's lame encore, over this show any day.

VIP was a rip off, could only get close by mixing with GA seating. Couldn't get as close as I'd have liked even after getting in half way through ZBB.
Great start to this show with Big Eyed Fish and Rapunzel and Seven which is more and more amazing every time. Great Cover of Funny how the time slips away. Great Two Step as always.

Was disappointed with how long stay or leave was especially after 3 slower songs (One Sweet World, Monkey, and Satelite)

Break for it was very entertaining but then Jimi Thing seemed kind of phoned in and boring.

Had high expectations for this show to hear Minarets or Last Stop since both had been played in the last couple of shows. Disappointing that they didn't drop a rare some on the Capital.

Somewhat predictable set. Hot as HELL. But i still had a great time. Would have loved to hear LIOG and was sure we would get it after the interpolation in Aint It Funny, but no luck.
Highlights for me were BEF, PNP>Rapunzel, Break For It, and of course Carter's solo in Two Step.
Gripes were the Time Bomb intro for Two Step (for me, the unique and creative intros have made Two Step one of my favorites).
Either way, band put on a great show for how hot and humid it was.

As I go to more show it just reminds me it's so important to get close to the band to feel the energy - I did make my way onto the field for a while, but it was too crowded to get close. I liked Camden better. National Park was really easy to get to and the facilities were fantastic - just huge.
