Dave Matthews Band is my mid-life crisis. Did not become a fan till my 50's and have seen 10 concerts in 3 years, including 2 at the Gorge in 2012. Dave says it best when he compares his songs to a 3-legged dog. When I first started listening Old Dirt Hill was my favorite song because it was such a simple catchy tune and I could understand the lyrics. It didn't take any work to like it. I now have many other songs I like better but Old Dirt Hill is near and dear to my heart. I might have been the only person at JLL who was glad to hear it, (I respectfully shushed everyone around me as only a grandmother can do so I could hear!)but this song alone (plus the ANTS opener) makes this show the best I have seen! Kudos to Rashawn on Grey Street and Two Step, as always, was epic!

My 9th show this summer (126th overall) and if not for Camden N2, this would have been my favorite out of the 9. Granted I have seen all but 4 songs already this summer, but there was something different about them this time. Some songs I don't mind seeing over and over. Big Eyed Fish, Granny, #41, Spoon, Ants...But Ants opener, you are kidding me? I've been going to DMB shows since August 1995 and the only other time I have seen that was July 2000! Great way to start the show! Why I Am is usually amazing, so no surprise it was! But it hasn't made me that "emotional" since the first time I heard it live after losing Roi. It was special! Grey and Rapunzel two all time favorites so I'd be happy to hear them at every show! I even enjoyed TWO STEP! Which is saying alot for me! I was in the pouring rain at Giants Stadium in 2001 and NO Two Step has EVER compared! Then there's the 4 songs I hadn't seen yet this summer. Dirt Hill, Crazy Easy, Take Me and Black Veil! Black Veil and Crazy Easy alone made this show worth every minute. All that plus how happy I am because of the list of songs I didn't hear. Mercy and Satellite are highest on that list! Sorry but after 18 years and more importantly, Muszak, I'd be ok with never hearing it again! I'm very happy I made the 7 hour trip to get there and will be adding it to my summer regulars. Great way to end my summer tour!

Personally, I felt like a few of the songs were dedicated to Leroi (I thought Why I Am was awesome tonight). I think this venue will always be a special place to the band and you can tell--they brought the energy. The set list was about as good as it gets; they played Spoon, Granny, Ants, Crazy Easy, and 41, Ants, Big Eyed Fish. They brought the energy. A 5 star show. Thanks guys!

Even better show! band really brought it tonight! thought last nights show was great, tonight had a lot of repeats, but I love those songs so no complaints! Always wanted Ants as an opener and got it!! Granny early, Old Dirt Hill, Crazy Easy!!! LBV!!, Spoon! Great set!! Great energy!! Great way to end the first part of the tour in Virginia! Great venue too, really enjoy it! One of the better shows of the summer for sure!

This show had so much more energy than last nights (Va Beach)! Opening up with Ants Marching was a HUGE surprise! Crazy-Easy, Long Black Veil and Runnin' Down A Dream were all treats!! Maybe the best Two Step I have heard!! They get better and better with that song. The encore was alright, Spoon was of course the highlight of the encore, and ending it on Pantala Naga Pama>>Rapunzel made me cringe. And also playing almost 1/3 of Va Beach setlist didnt really satisfy me. It was the last show before their break and would it had kill them to have played Halloween or Last Stop?!

This show was pretty sweet. Way overshadowed Virginia Beach the night before even though a lot of the set list was similar. Ants to Big Eyed Fish to Granny was pretty sweet and got me pumped for the rest of the show. Also got Old Dirt Hill which was amazing to hear. 41 and then Grey Street back to back got me pumped, too. The Encore was amazing...Some Devil and Spoon, all in the pouring rain. It was an awesome experience!

Ants Opener... I'm very glad I saw that. Perfect way to start a show. Big Eyed Fish and Granny were great. Cool to hear Old dirt Hill. If Only was very unnecessary, killed the energy. Amazing version of Crazy Easy. Same with Long Black Veil. #41 was long but they (Carter and Boyd) kept power in it so it was really good. Boyd was awesome on #41, glad he had a little second solo at the end. Very happy to hear Two Step as a closer, no happy to hear Time Bomb intro. Spoon was awesome, not the best version but how could you not be happy to see Spoon. Like really its Spoon. Rapunzel was good, always glad to hear it.

The BEST show I think I have seen in a long while! LBV into #41! Are you kidding me? Plus you play Granny. You are spoiling this girl with Granny on this tour. Plus SPOON for an encode! I had to look and see if I had ever seen that song live. Amazing! I still HATE I'm-still-going-to-call-it-Nissan-dammit! The security, the police, the parking lot all SUCK. I keep promising that I will never come back here but thank god I made it back for this show. #32 I will not forget you.

Every year I feel like I have to hype myself up to go to this venue. Notwithstanding the "I'll Back You Up" from a few years ago, and the only DMB performance of "Ring of Fire" from back in 2003, shows here generally suck. The venue, parking, moving rules for tailgating, etc. make it worse. This show, for once, was good. And it was the best show I have ever seen here, going back 10 years. Fun time for my 45th show, and it was nice that they released some GA Pit tickets about 90 minutes before the show, so I actually got a ticket.

Amazing set list! Ants to open was an unreal way to kick off the show and Tim's solo on Running Down a Dream was spectacular. #41 was legendary w/ Carter's solo.
They had great pace all night and songs built off each other. Crowd was into it all night too.

An unbelievable show. #47 for me. Nissan/Jiffy Lube is my home venue and honestly, it usually sucks here. But tonight was different on all levels. ANTS OPENER? !?! Look up the last time they did that... it's been almost a decade. Big-Eyed Fish into Granny... LONG BLACK VEIL into #41...DDTW, Grey St., killer Petty and John Denver covers, an amazing Two Step set closer, w/ Some Devil, SPOON and Rapunzel finish!! Great show, great energy! Top 10, maybe top 5 show ever for me. That being said, I will never come back to this venue. EVER. The overzealous security and "service staff" are truly some of the worse displays of professionalism I've ever seen. My brother and I were kicked out during the encore and I'm still not sure why...but whatever, it was still 5-stars.

Ants Marching needs to open more often, it was really a great tone-setter for the evening that is appreciated universally by hardcore and casual fans.
I don't recall that I've ever had such a strong 3-song opening to a show as AM, BEF, and Granny. I'm not the biggest ODH fan, but I'm happy to hear songs that are seldom played.
I don't think I've ever got 3 covers in one show before, and they were all awesome. Take Me To Tomorrow is way better full band than Dave solo, surprised by how much I enjoyed that one.
I got #41 on my 41st show, had a feeling that would happen. I finally heard Spoon for the first time, been chasing that song for 11 years! After having a night to sleep on it, I think this show is right on the top ten bubble for me. Would love a Live Trax of it!

Incredible show. Would give it 6 stars if there was an option. My 45th show and easily in my top 3 of all time. An amazing Ants to start and the band never let off the gas pedal. I'm starting to think DMB does a better job with Runnin Down a Dream than Tom Petty. Grey St is always a crowd pleaser, Two Step was off the charts, and of course getting my first Spoon and Crazy Easy was a highlight of the evening. Thank you DMB, it's been a fun 5-show summer. See you in 2014!

Having Ants open into Big Eyed Fish--> Granny was incredible. Old Dirt Hill is my guilty pleasure song, so while I didn\'t express it on the outside, I was glad to hear it. Long Black Veil is my favorite song he does. The monsoon during Two Step and the encore made it incredible added to the fact that they played Spoon put the concert over the top. Been to Camden N2 and Bristow this summer and two great shows.

That Encore and opener was the best thing ever. The fact that we all thought that Dave was going to play shake me like a monkey with his don't drink the water guitar held us on to the edge of our seats just praying he wouldn't play that joke of a song. Jeff destroyed spoon. A bagillion times better than last year

I would give this show a 4 and a half if that were an option, but since it's not, I guess I have to give it a 5. This is the best Nissan/Jiffy Lube show that I have seen since 1996. Many times I've felt like the band was a little bored when they were playing here, but tonight it seemed like they were pumped up. I liked the stuff everyone else liked (Ants, Granny, #41, Grey Street), and generally had a great time. I personally don't like Spoon at all, and would have traded that for anything else off BTCS (?Halloween), and would have liked Mercy over If Only, but overall this was a satisfying setlist for me. Hope to see them again here next year!

This was a very good show. I've been spoiled this year with shows like Camden N2 and Charlotte, and this one was just not quite there, but like I said, a very good show. Nice to see Old Dirt Hill (especially because the venue was pretty much an old dirt hill), but the run of ODH->Bayou->If Only killed the crowd in the beginning, picked back up for a great run, a ?You & Me into Two Step, and an encore that was my first Spoon (finally show 39!), and a rockin' Rapunzel. Here's where it falls short of stellar -> The flow of the show fell very middle of the road for the tour, and while the band must have had more energy than VA Beach, compared to Charlotte or Camden they looked bushed, ready for a vacation. The boys always bring their A-game, but like I said, I've gotten spoiled. The other thing that kept this show from being a 5-star stellar night was all the repeats from VA Beach and Charlotte. They've released so many songs this tour, this setlist was just lazy, if the songs themselves were well played. My 0.02 cents. Hell - it was worth the 5-hour drive just to hear Spoon

When the night kicks off with Ants Marching, and then Big Eyed Fish turns into Granny, you know that they've come to play. A few songs to settle things down and then it goes Runnin' Down a Dream, Crazy Easy, Kill the Preacher, Why I Am, Long Black Veil, and a SICK jam through #41. Close out the main set with a Two Step/Time Bomb mashup and you really don't care what the encores are--but they were solid too. I don't have as many shows under my belt as most here, but this is, by far, the best I've seen.

2nd straight year I've been in the pit for this venue. Pretty cool to see the same people down there again. Ants opener was insane, Crazy-Easy and Long Black Veil def big highlights. Two Step was just as good as always, that outro had everyone in the pit going pretty good. I thought a Halloween was going to work its way out but it did not. Spoon as part of the encore was just amazing and then to go right into the PNP>Rapunzel just topped the night. Probably the best setlist that I've had at a show, based on my favorites atleast.

This was my 45th show and easily in my top 5. The night began perfectly with a silly Ants opener and the energy flowed all night long. I wasn't overly excited to hear ODH, but the crowd seemed to be into it. Lots of great energy from the crowd, with a great mix of old and new. An insane Two Step as the rain came pouring down was a perfect way to end the main set. The encore of Some Devil, Spoon, and a powerful Rapunzel were a perfect way to end a suburb show. This time at this venue for a DMB show and it did not disappoint. The Pit was pretty well behaved and full of energy. Sadly, this is the last show of the summer for me; a big smile on my face as I look forward toward 2014
