The band come on earlier than I've ever seen, so we ended up missing part of WWYS. Solid set list, though Ants was the only thing on my personal top 10. Have had more than enough covers to last a lifetime, and back-to-back to boot really stole a lot of the early energy for me. Hard to enjoy those songs when I'm hoping against hope to hear a BOWA. I was apparently the only person at the Gorge who likes Old Dirt Hill, but the calypso jam at the end was a nice treat. Four set encore was unexpected, although not wholly unsurprising since the regular set ended at 10:30. Drunken Soldier as an encore closer is awkward because of the stoner Pink Floyd outro that the band didn't do anything out of the ordinary with. Consequently, the concert trailed off like Proudest Monkey at the end of Crash.

Save Me continues to prove itself. Twin brothers You Might Die Trying and Louisiana Bayou played back to back?! Take Me To Tomorrow and Running Down A Dream back to back? These feel like firsts to me as far as I can remember. I've been waiting 9 years to hear Crazy-Easy again and yet another set of lyrics...either that or I smoked too much. It was great to hear Old Dirt Hill by the full band again and Halloween is always better when they go into it from another song. My third Halloween in a row! That was pretty cool as well.

What a great show!!! The bands energy was awesome the whole night, it seemed as though Dave didn't want to stop jamming and it was great! The four song encore was amazing!

Out of the gate with a bang. First 4 songs were great, high energy, and really got the weekend started off on the right foot. I felt like Seek Up had poor placement and really downshifted the entire concert into low gear and the show didn't really recover until So Much To Say. First Crazy-Easy was a nice surprise. Ants into Halloween has been done and I've seen it a few times now but it was a surprise for N1. Drunken Soldier closer was meh in my opinion. Good start to the weekend.

This was my 100th show and 7th time to the gorge for the 3 day show. The set list was solid and the energy was high nothing was jammed out incredibly long but everything was played very tight and to perfection. The Petty cover was nice and overall a great start to the 3 day weekend.

First time VIP reserved seat experience. Center 2nd row behind pit was perfect location for both viewing and sound quality. Show and Tour poster came with seat along with a rain jacket. This was the start of my poster collecting. Setlist was just OK for me.

The improv before WWYS was pretty chill, very groovy, almost a jazz country version of WWYS and seemed like something everyone in the band was really into. Also, the two spots looking at the set you would think would be downers were actually great:
Old Dirt Hill had a cool outro added to it, sounding like the chill section of the song.
Louisiana Bayou sounded tight and the jam on the end had a lot of energy and didn't drag on forever. The version this tour is the most refined and focused the song ever has been. Great crowd participation as well.
Lastly, the end of the show was awesome with Drunken Soldier. Nobody was expecting another song after Ants > Halloween, and you could tell the band wanted to do something special for the Fri night crowd. Tim was my favorite on this song though as he wouldn't stop playing. He played right through the last full band note, and kept going causing the band to continue. It was hilarious as Dave walked over to Tim then gave the nod to Carter for the snare drum big finish, and Tim kept playing. Only the entire band hammering on their instruments woke him up.
Amazing night, can't wait till next year.

The Gorge always deserves five stars. highlights were Seek Up, Take me to Tomorrow, and Crazy Easy. I also enjoyed the encore with the surprise Drunken Soldier after Halloween.
