First proper D+T show tonight (only previous the set they did before D+F) and I had a blast. A couple thoughts, reflections and hot takes below. First of all I decided to go solo kind of last minute and the best thing about going solo is when you have cool people next to you. Grabbed a ticket in the last row of the center section of Orch A and the couple next to me were great. We were both in well before show time and it as good to \"connect\" with people who were cool and there to hear the music. Secondly, the crowd as a whole was really really good, at least from where I was. This was something I was really dreading. But there were no completely wasted idiots in my section and while people were having full blown conversations I was able to tune it out for the most part and it wasn\'t a constant problem for every song. People have made the point before but it\'s the same stuff that goes on at full band shows, except you hear every word of the conversations instead of drowning most of it out. But again, the crowd in my section was really really good. Thirdly, Dave and Tim are like a vaudeville act. Entertaining how they interact with each other, the dumb shit Dave says, but it manages to put a smile on your face. Fourthly, They either need to turn Dave way up or turn Tim way down. You can barely hear the \"core\" of the song that Dave plays and all you really hear are bass notes and Tim\'s fills/solos. I love the acoustic setting to hear the \"raw\" guitar, the roots of the songs we\'ve all heard hundreds of times, and it was extremely bassy and way too much Tim. Fifthly, first time hearing Tim\'s solos. Almost always skip them on D+T releases, and didn\'t go to the bathroom during them tonight. The first one was sloppy and boring and I was really turned off. The second one was freakin awesome and manage to raise the energy from the time Dave left to came back out. That was a jam and fun to listen to. Sixthly, Little Red Bird and Lying in the Hands of God were highlights for me. In the D+T setting these are the kinds of songs that I love to hear. The kinds that are often neglected by the full band, or don\'t \"fit\" but are excellent in the acoustic setting. Little Red Bird was short but fun and LITHOG was really really good. Of all the songs tonight those two stand out with Out of My hands. I weirdly like that song, but it\'s by no means a song I really want to hear regularly but thought it fit the set perfect. Was also somewhat relieved it wasn\'t Virginia in the Rain. As for the more \"classic\" songs BOWA was a huge surprise and one of my favorites of the night along with Billies. D+T Billies with that intro is so fun. Also Save Me is another song that\'s cool, but don\'t need to hear all the time, but the outro tonight was outstanding. Another highlight of the show for me. All in all I had a great time tonight and felt this set was extremely \"fresh\" for someone whose been to a bunch of shows. It was cool having no idea what was coming next and no idea how the set was being constructed. Songs I\'ve heard a million times sounded fresh and new and different (even if they were actually just stripped down a bit). The classic, fun crowd songs were mixed in perfectly and really well done. The crowd was into it and respectful. Sat for the first 3 or 4 songs and then stood for most of the show. The standing isn\'t the problem. Standing fit the vibe of the show and everyone was cool. Really looking forward to PNC Wednesday. Jealous of everyone going tomorrow. So many great songs still on the table, but again, it\'s the \"lesser\" songs that found a home for me in tonight\'s set.

Excellent setlist and energy by D&T. Avoid the balcony if you go to a future show at the Mann. Felt very isolated from the crowd. It was also tough to hear the music at times over the crowd socializing until they turned up the volume about ~5 songs into the show.

Amazing show. Great crowd and the guys were really sharp. N2 definitely had the edge on N1. I don\'t rate many shows as 5 unless they were really special. Both nights at the Mann are in that category.

Great energy, great setlist, highlights were LIOG, Billies, Stone, STJL, Sick two step esp w/Tim Solo, Tim\'s second song Betrayal is always great. Double encore with Some Devil, Ants then back again with an EPIC rapunzel. Dave and Tim were in the zone and having a good time, lots of davespeak. Looking forward to N2.

Awesome N1 that set the bar very high for N2. Not a bad seat under cover at this venue. We were in the last row of center balcony with a great vantage and excellent sound. Crowd was pretty into the show some chatty couples in front of us but was able to tune them out as we stood in the last row with nobody behind us. Loved getting Betryal for the first time, Stone, BOWA, and Jane were great surprises as well. Bring on N2!

Our first D+T show after 23 years of trying yet failing, so yea 5 stars. Tim is awe-inspiring and is almost more of a freak of nature. Dave's vocals were on point and was seemingly having a lot of fun which always makes for a better show. The crowd did suck a little. To those who are there to chat the whole time, leave and go to the bar or STFU and show a little respect and class. Aerofan2007 on YouTube has great video as always. Check out Lie in our Graves, Betrayal, Bartender and Rapunzel for some highlights. Really looking forward to tonight.

Live Trax worthy, this show was unreal. Literally listened thinking, “wow this night can’t get better,” then it did! The Mann Center is the new go-to in the Philly area - sound was amazing, can’t get a bad seat in the house and the view of the Philly skyline was surreal. This show was as good as they come. Boy did D & T ever deliver.
