I knew going in that this would be a shorter, festival set but wow what a "classic" set it was! Overall great energy by the band and the many enjoying Jazzfest. Everyone around me was having a blast, including a couple of DMB first timers who told me that they became instant fans that day! As expected he played a couple funky/jazzy tunes like LB (with Robert Randolph) and SMLAM. TGIY sounded great with Preservation Hall behind it. There were so many classic fan favorites/hits too! with highlights for me being TB (with Warren Hays), #41, and ending with Watchtower. Couldn't have asked for a better Jazzfest time!

Out of my 20 shows, this ranks at the top. PHJB was insane on Ants, plus an appearance by Warren Haynes and Robert Randolph.

First Jazz Fest ever, this show was awesome. Such a great environment, venue and event. Guest that joined on stage killed it, great show overall!

Incredible energy at this show. Was the best Fest set I’ve seen, with three guests: Robert Randolph on Louisiana Bayou, Warren Haynes on Trippin Billies, and Preservation Hall Jazz Band on That Girl Is You & Ants Marching! Band was having a blast in New Orleans!

Good to see the boys at Jazzfest! Daytime set was beautiful here at the Big Easy. Lots of great artists in the area during this time. Loved WWYS as an opener, got the crowd right into it. Robert Randolph finding a way to make it on stage for Bayou which was a surprise considering his band was playing not soon after this appearance. It’s been a real pleasure to experience what this dude brings to the band’s sound. Robert played electric guitar on this one and it looked like his Chris popped out during the jam and Dave was quick to help him get plugged back in. Warren Haynes was awesome to hear on Tripping Billies, waillin’ Out at the end! I think Ants Marching to close the set with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band was the song for this one. The band loved it, the crowd loved it. It just plain out sounded good! Been a while since i’ve Seen this band and a lot has changed, but I will say they really looked energized up there. Especially Dave. He danced his ass off and strummed that guitar like a motherfucker. Hope to see some of you folks in September out in San Dieg. Hometown show for me with probably one of the easiest routes i’ve Ever had to a show. Cannot wait.

Best DMB show I've seen at the Fest. Robert Randolph on Louisiana Bayou and Warren Haynes on Billies were dream guests of mine. IMO, a perfect high energy set for a big crowd in the heat! Oh and TWO songs with Pres Hall band isn't bad either.

LOVE that WWYS -> ASB -> Too Much is back in rotation! Festival sets are always shorter but they made the most of it with Robert Randolph on Bayou, Warren Haynes on Trippin Billies (got Cortez in Jacksonville, so great treat!), and Preservation Hall Jazz Band on That Girl Is You & Ants Marching! Ever since I saw them at the Gorge it's exciting to see them back! Dave clearly LOVES having all that music up on stage.

This was the best festival set you could ask for. High energy from start to finish, they never pumped the brakes. Plus all the guests (Warren, Robert Randolph and PHJB), I never stopped dancing the whole show. Love how much fun the band seems to be having.
