Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds|

Farm Aid, Alpine Valley Music Theatre, East Troy, WI
Dave & Tim were having a great time. Alpine looked better than it ever had, Farm Aid did a great job with the video screens, lighting, and sound. Hope they come back soon!
This was a day to remember... or forget. With thunderstorms in the forecast we set off to Alpine Valley. This year's crew included a few new faces. We arrived around 3 in the blue lot and got a prime spot. There were already a LOT of people there. We set up our tent complete with saran wrap to keep the sideways rain out. We met up with ants user pj4real. He brought over some vegan beer. Absolutely no animal parts. Power hour included some prime cuts from Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds, Neil Young and Willie Nelson... and so did opwer hour 2. So we were good and ripped all afternoon. Somehow we managed to cook some burgers and brats. Much of this time is a blank spot in my memory. By some act of God or luck we were able to clean everything up, pack up and get inside for Bonnie Raitt. That is definitely something to talk about. It probably didn't help that each of us took a gummy... or two. Dave and Tim's set seemed short. The highlight was Lie in Our Graves. The Alpine lawn was absolutely shot packed and the show was hard to see. John Mellencamp's set was forgettable... likely because of the drugs and alcohol. Neil Young's set was quite the opposite. Neil played with Promise of the Real and all of the songs he played were excellent. Highlight had to be Harvest Moon. Unfortunately, we left before Willie Nelson so we didn't get to hear his set. It was a great day and a great night. See you next time.
Dave's voice was spot on and he stood out from the crowd
Wonderful show. Had some personal significance for me.
A really great FarmAid show at Alpine Valley and for a great cause. Dave and Tim played a great set. All strong songs. Crowd was into it. Until next year!!
