The bands energy was great. The sound was awesome after some early set adjustments. I enjoyed it more because it was my 71st show and I can enjoy any setlist variation that's out there without feeling I missed anything, but for my friends that go once every few years, looking for some epic jams. The Jams just weren't there. UC gets some bummer shows. Again, I enjoyed myself, great energy in crowd and band, but disappointed for those who have only seen them a handful of times or that was their first show.

More jams needed. Could’ve used a 41, Crush, Grey Street. Don’t Drink the Water was an average closer. Indoor sound was fantastic though.

We were 2nd row. Amazing time. Lots of amazing memories, photos, and had time to get a foil poster!

My first DMB show, boy was i floored. I had no idea. It got my right up to the chills running up my spine. Jimi Thing with the two fellas from Dumpstafunk... that just left me with my mouth on the floor. The show was a surprise for my gf , who had never been to Chicago. She is a rabid dmb fN. On the way to Chicago (, from Columbus), we had talked music. She knows I love jazz, but never fully cared for jam bands. And she loves jam band but is never really on board with jazz. Watching DMB, I looked at her and said this IS jazz. Buddy tickles, Rashwan and the newly Grammy nominated Jeff, slay in their respective horn section. Stefan holds the bottom , Carter leads the path, and Dave... well he gets to hang out sing a bit and watch that massive talent. I'm now a huge fan, and have gone back into the catalogs to find the many versions of tracks I like, as well as find songs I've never heard. Oh and DMB's version on Fool In The Rain... it's ridiculously good

Great energy from the fans. The solo acoustic Virgina In The Rain was beautiful.

Cool opener, BOWA had a cool outro, and E1 Virginia was strong. Not much else noteworthy.

Finally got to hear Fool In the Rain after waiting since 2003! Other highlights included Grace is Gone, If Only and Virginia in the Rain encore. Plus a home run at the Goat is a nice treat. See you next time.

Excellent performances! Not the strongest set ever, but they played extremely well and Dave was clearly in a great mood. Terrific interplay between the whole band, and the horns from Dumpstaphunk were incredible guests! Note: Was so happy to see them for the first time since before the pandemic. They sounded so great last night; very tight overall!

Really interesting set list - not super rare not a lot of the typical bangers but really enjoyed the flow. The energy between the crowd and the band was electric. Shockingly the band came out after 11 for the encore.

Thankful that the mix was fixed after the 1st song… the vocals were not nearly loud enough during Madman’s Eyes. Very strange showflow… bouncing around across albums and song intensity. This was show #25 for me and I did pick up 4 new songs which was definitely a positive, however, after seeing what he did in Minnesota on Sunday night it is hard to say that there isn’t a slight tinge of disappointment in tonight’s playlist. Highlight of the show was So Damn Lucky with section 202 :) and others starting the “Thank You” chants which led into Buddy belting it out!

Mellow night, chicago show grading curve made it a decent night. BOWA, Jane, and DDTW always welcome.

Bit of a slow start, but what can you expect on a Tuesday night. A very welcomed BOWA!

A great Chicago show at the United Center with Dumpstaphunk opening. I went with my buddy Jeff and it was a good good time. He called the two songs that he wanted, Fool In The Rain and Come Tomorrow. I really enjoyed Virginia in the Rain, If Only, and YMDT. The tribute to VA before Grace is Gone was really nice. Don’t Drink the Water as a closer is always solid. Dumpstaphunk’s trumpet and trombone were awesome on Jimi and Ants. And congrats to Jeff on the Grammy nomination. See you in 2023!!

Not my favorite set list I’ve ever seen, but the band killed it and the overall show might have been the most fun I’ve ever had.

Band sounded great. Best of what’s around had an extra jam at the end that was phenomenal. Dave made multiple comments of how Jeff was nominated for a Grammy that day. The horn section was on fire. Really the only reason the show is rated so low is because of the vanilla Setlist. Jenna and I had a fun time going. It was the night that I worked on a Tuesday and then drove up after work to go to the show with her and then had to go back to work the next day. The bad man’s eyes opener was awesome and I thought it was cool they ended with it don’t drink the water which is a darker song. I was surprised at how much I liked come tomorrow. The song sounded very powerful. Overall I had a blast and I feel like the show should be rated a little higher but due to that Setlist I just can’t do it.

Another UC stinker. Not sure who that show was meant to please. Only 7 songs from the Big 3/RTT, the rest were the usual beaten into the ground rotational songs- YMDT, Bayou, Jimi, DDTW, PM, Satellite, SDL, Why I Am, Funny, etc.
